This is eerily familiar, minus having the kids already. My ex wife and I were talking about trying to have kids and looking at houses, did pretty the same thing. While I hope the rest of our stories are different, the only advice I can offer is stop trying to pursue her, give her the space. Whatever she chooses, she chooses. But you need to take care of you and your kid.

Definitely sell it. Why have a nice house if you aren't going to be able to enjoy it. Pay off the debt, build your credit and work on you and your hobbies with the leftover money.

So she wanted a divorce, left to be with another guy, who she'd definitely been talking to. That didn't work out so she came "home", and now is putting is rules on how she wants it. Bro, she is an ass. She will do it again. See what the attorney says. Also, is her name on the deed?

Do what everyone else has suggested but also: Healing isn't linear, especially when PTSD is involved. -Take it second by second, minute by minute, and day by day. It's a marathon. It will take time. Don't think of it as a measuring contest against how someone else, even on this sub, is doing. It's not. It's about you healing from what you went through. Take that from someone who went through severe abuse from my ex wife. -For the love of heaven cut all contact. If you have nothing tying you down…

FWIW, I'm kinda the other man in your situation. My gf has sole custody of two children where the father is about 4 hours away and they've been divorced for over 5 years. They honestly have a a good relationship when it comes to the kids and he gets them often, would be more but distance and work issues arise. Both of them are adult enough to realize to do what's best for the kids. From my perspective I know that I'm not dad nor will I ever be dad nor do I try to be, but I do help where I can. T…

Every situation is different but for me it's been under 2 years and while I'm not over everything, I'm happier now, with someone else, and moving on with my life

Honestly she needs to leave. It isnt okay for your mental health for her to be there, it isnt okay that SHE wants to LEAVE YOU but says she doesn't have a job or money and can't leave. She is an adult, she needs to act like one.

My wife was the most amazing, beautiful, respectful, caring woman you'd ever met. I saw the absolute best and absolute worst of her and still loved her unconditionally. My family and my friends loved her. That's the woman I married. The person that divorced and abused me... that's someone else entirely. Its crazy....

Sometimes I wonder if that's what my ex wife did, just to torture me. 11 years together and I swear she enjoyed breaking me

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you, all of this is on her. My ex father in law gave me some advice and while it sounds stupid, it's simple. "We are men, we have to be strong, just walk away. Live your own life." I'd like to add to this to focus on yourself and be kind to yourself. Get the help you need. There is nothing wrong with feeling like it's (the situation) not okay, just dont stay there.

There is nothing wrong with you. He is the cause of this. Get that thought out of your head.

Honestly I have no idea. My STBXW is the one that started all of this. During all of it, the one thing I have really wanted is for her to own up to everything she did wrong. If she did that I would do anything for us to work out our marriage, but she wont and you arent me. It's going to be completely your choice on this.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
