Glad you're still keeping on. Honestly nowadays I'm seeing more happy older couples than younger 20s. Difference in priorities

Awesome, glad you see it that way. I don't wanna nitpick, but do we honestly believe that anyone on a niche subforum like this who wants to complain about how they aren't getting laid, some random propaganda about how the last generation had it better or whatever, DON'T see sex as super important? If they cared more about something else they'd be doing that instead. You seem like you're coming at this from a reasonable place since I saw your last post about trying to help explain things to men. …

Why would a man or a woman "accept their fate" when they could learn how to be more attractive to the opposite sex? The vast majority don't even try to make this a focal point of their lives and if they care enough to talk about this online, then it stands to reason they should. Doomerism is not a strategy.

I appreciate the reply. Only speaking for myself personally, I've generally gotten good at understanding the difference between a woman feeling like she's "doing me a solid" vs being actually receptive. The thing is, while I get where you're coming from, I don't think this is a problem in healthy relationships. Hell, I've had times I WASNT INTO IT but knew my girlfriend really needed/wanted to have sex. And why did I do that? Because I understood the circumstances(rough day, going through poor s…

Not if both want to make it work. There are many, many older couples who are still clearly deeply in love with one another and whom probably have more active sex lives than a 25 year old couple. It's about the effort on both ends. Believing that you are going to decline is a self fulfilling prophecy and only sets you up for disaster

You don't have to be a natural to be successful in the world of dating and relationships but if you wanna go down that rabbit hole let's play this out. If you have no experience by age 25 and see yourself as undesirable, yeah you've got a LOT of work to do. I won't deny that. It's tough as fuck. But it IS doable, you just have to ask yourself if you care enough about understanding why you weren't getting anywhere before and if you care enough to do the work to close the gap. I do agree with you …

I replied to you in another comment but nobody's saying that women "can't" do what you mention. I think the problem is that when you label a man's opinion as being "one of the people who don't think sex is important," it's dismissive instead of understanding that all metabolically healthy men are very interested in good sex. I personally prefer monogamy and committed relationships, but in general the type of guy you'd probably find attractive would rather have a noncommittal but fantastic sexual…

I'm a guy. I'll just say that to YOU, a woman, it may very well be possible to have a satisfying relationship without sex. However guys are very differently wired. I don't expect you to understand exactly how we think in the same way I don't expect to understand how women fully think. But the general idea here is that men have sexual drives and they want to share in that with the woman they love. If you don't have that as a guy, you're friends with a woman at best and roommates at worst. People …

I never got this even when I was inexperienced with dating. Like sure I know the idea is trying to say "I'm so in demand and this is a rare chance to grab me single" but ime women respond better to the guy who is either already taken(unfortunate but true social proof) or the guy who is EXTREMELY chill being single but still has social awareness. Constantly talking about how you spring from relationship to relationship sounds like a teenage girl at best and desperately clingy at worst.

I'm sorry at the absolute cruelty of that man. That's absolutely awful and deceptive, and I hope you are doing better now. Frankly I find posts like OP's to be excessively neurotic and telling on himself. If he hasn't been in a position where sex was likely/going to happen, then he doesn't realize that women can and will show consent through being receptive and encouraging a guy to keep things going. There is a MASSIVE difference between a woman who wants to be with you vs. one that doesn't. And…

Real, honest question: if that's how you feel then why are you friends with them in the first place? Would that treatment not extend to you regardless of whether you are or are not romantically linked to them?

Seconding this - but now I have to ask what your husband does that allows him to be paid so much more than you

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
