I don't quite agree. In Scrum we have this thing (which didn't originated in Scrum) called ShuHaRi. It's a three step process/philosophy to be the best. First, Shu: You gotta learn the form. Normally, at least in my country, even gov docs are peer-reviewed. They do it by cross reviewing across different research groups, which is also a common practice in corporate research

You can always go and make your own survey. Just don't forget to have an heterogeneous groups of hundred of individuals and to write about your findings in a research paper with other researches to secure that what you did is minimally reasonable through peer-review. Or, as this seems to much effort, read the data we already have and try to find errors. I think you won't, as this was probably peer-reviewed already, but I'm always rooting for new reviews.

Never got why people try to shame on buys. If one earns money one can spend on whatever one want. It's a decision one makes that only affects ones financial health, nothing else.

Brazil doesn't speak Spanish, but Portuguese is really easy to learn if you know Spanish. We have some nice places do live that are relatively close to big airports. Look for Curitiba and its Viracopos Airport or Guarulhos and its International Airport

Thank you! I've spent some time with energy researchers in my uni (did a class on energy economics) and I saw how much we could improve the environment by researching even petroleum. Heck, my research for the class was about some of the gasses from petroleum. There's so much to create and improve that I feel like being an activist is mostly a waste of time. Better to engineer a solution and tell the world about it than to just tell the world how horrible it is and how it should change. Fuck this…

Really? I always daydream about going backpacking to a new country, moreso than some of woman I know. But I also plan my travels to save the more I can. Airbnb, cooking, public transportation, cheap flights. I guess I end up expending less than most on travels

The state only persues if you live within the state. Overseas regulations for this type of things are complicated at least and impossible at best. Moving away to a country that is in bad waters with his current country may dissuade the state completely
