No one is saying that most men are rapists. You got completely lost somewhere along the way.

Simone de Beauvoir. Hannah Arendt. Judith Butler. Feminists who can't be caricatured the way you want to make feminists out to be. In principle I don't want to go into detail about this with someone who cannot apologize. I gave you amazing chances but for some reason I don't expect one is coming. If we want to discuss things, you started out by saying things like: Feminists have one belief, that women are oppressed by evil men The difference between the two movements is that MRA's believe in fac…

You are being disrespectful. You are refusing to act responsibly and apologize. You are a terrible person for it and won't ever have a voice in the public sphere acting in such an immature way. It really has nothing to do with me, actually. Amazing, imagine this, you're arguing to an anonymous person. I'm a fucktard feminist bitch as you've imagined for yourself conveniently I'm sure, whatever helps you masturbate to your ego, but that doesn't matter, really, it won't ever matter what happens to…

Well, I like your perspective on things, but let me bring up two points and see what you think of them. Number 1: Politics fundamentally are controlled by well, the people in charge. It doesn't matter what amazing backing the 99% movement can get if the people at the top don't actually want that sort of change. Oh, sure, they may throw a movement a bone in the form of some bill, but it will always be a shitty compromise which really doesn't reflect the philosophical meaning of the movement. Basi…

I have discussed this with enough people to understand that people who believe what you do are not going to listen to reason. And so your response is to immediately throw out disrespectful language rather than make intelligent discussion. Precisely my point, then, you came in closed-minded, and clearly, based on the fact that you didn't even show a snippet of remorse for acting that way, you have not given me a reason to continue. Your victory. But just to let you know, there's a reason why this…

You'll have to excuse me, my finals are coming up next week, but thank you for the material, if you don't mind I'll try and reply to this in a few days when I can read through it at a library so I can access the first one.

It's not clearly men. It is clearly society, which women were an active part of. Women played a large role in supporting conflicts and shaming men into enlisting in others. I guess that's an esoteric point. Is ghetto culture the fault of black people? A male-dominated society created those stigmas back when women did not have any voice. Really though, can't we just admit that the blame game is not as important in these matters as agreeing what problems exist? I make generalizations about people …

Problems? No. Not that I know of at least, though every group contains fringes, I don't think anyone would say any of those things are not problems. All I am saying is that they disagree about the source of them. I'll explain: Feminism fundamentally rejects gender roles. It is mostly concerned with the bigotry that transsexuals or homosexuals get in this manner, but in general it applies to all gender roles. That includes that of the masculine manly man. It is incredibly neat and rewarding to be…

If only the world worked in such nice generalizations... Unfortunately, people are not cartoon caricatures, and beyond that Universities don't hand out Doctorates for singleminded dogma. You started out sounding like you had a point, but eventually all I saw was generalizations which were clearly based off of spite of an idea of feminism, not off of actual experience with academics. Not to mention, you are turning the arguments into straw, and then claiming you believe in facts. Perhaps you have…

Unfortunately, I do not consider myself an MRA for some reasons I'll address, I seldom come here, occasionally I do though to see if anything has changed. I'm not commenting to rage or dismiss your points, but to rather, address one of the main problems I see here. Feminism is largely misrepresented. It is not, however it may seem, uniquely determined by the opinions of crazy women on facebook or reddit who rage at opinions, but rather a philosophical position for the most part shaped by the int…

The two are not linked in any way. You must register for the draft as a man, but it is in no way ideologically connected to voting. There are even ways around it and if you declare as a pacifist and get out of the draft (difficult to pull off, I hear) it still has nothing to do with whether or not you can vote.

In my experience, white people tend to be against the term and the people who I've read advocating for it were minorities. This is perhaps because, at least again in my experience, 'reverse racism' seems to be seen as less morally wrong than if you called it racism. I'm not sure how this would be a better leverage point than simply labeling these acts racist.

The point in using this term is not to point towards one of them as the "normal", but to note that it is a movement from minority against majority, and not vis-versa. It has nothing to do with which one is more common or anything like that. If, hypothetically, there were no male sexists , only females, it would still be reverse sexism since the females are the minority in terms of status/power. (This model assumes sexism goes well beyond attitude and is ingrained in any unbalanced institution, s…
