16	Virginia considering mandatory reporting in wake of Rolling Stone rape article \| State legislature mulling three new bills that would force universities to report allegations of sexual assault to police. Police investigate plenty of crimes without victim cooperation. Whether the DAs office chooses to prosecute without said cooperation is another question. 6	The local rape culture brigade are pushing for the law to be changed to "guilty until proved innocent". They're having a demonstration today based on the 1% myth. The thing is feminists don't call people "rape survivors" because they could have also been killed by their rapist. They do it because the victim presumably could have chosen to give up on living a meaningful life (hence the progression from "victim" to "survivor"). Personally, I don't really see the benefit of telling people it's a toss-up on whether or not they'll be able to go on.
