I used to care about this - when I was much younger. But the truth is I prefer a more experienced partner because the chances they are better at sex than, say, my ex-wife who only had 2 partners......are pretty good. I'm too old to have boring sex. The only reason to be concerned about how many partners they've had is A) disease and B) you're worried about your ability being compared to many, many others. If B), you have some things to work on in your head.

I think it depends on how long after the breakup a text occurs as to whether you should respond. I also think HOW you respond and HOW SOON you don't respond matter. You can show how much you've changed just by these things. But I do understand your point of simply NOT responding.....

It's true. This week I have been working things. This weekend fell through for anything to happen. Well, I do have a coffee date tomorrow. But I've vowed that I am DONE spending the weekends at home alone when I don't have my kid. Next Friday I WILL have a date on Friday (have my kid the rest of the weekend.) and....who knows?

It's a good point - but I actually only get caught up in Reddit every once in a while. The others I have basically eliminated. My problem is I am a writer on the side and sometimes get sidetracked. That and I don't really have enough friends that want to hang out with me. Probably doesn't help that I've worked from home for almost 7 years.

It's true. A great point, sir. I turn things down sometimes because I have "too much to do" but then regret not having enough to do OUT of the house.

100%, SunshineMan. I grew up w/ 0 confidence. Finally, at 50...single again....I've realized I need to get out of my own head and grow some balls and stop giving an F. I'm slowly getting better - pushing myself. First things first, need to get OUT of the house and do more things.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
