Great post! It has been so hard for me to keep up on the little things like this during my current pregnancy. My hormones and lack of sleep are making me crazy. I need to be better about thinking of him. I make his lunch every day but I could add a little note too. I let him sleep in on Saturday and get up with the kids. I need to give more back rubs for sure!!

That's awesome! I love midwifery and have only ever had homebirths. I admire you women so much but I've often thought about the sacrifice you make in your personal lives to be so amazing. I'm really happy you will get more time with your family, that is so great!

I've never thought of that, but that makes a lot of sense. The hip sit/hold comes so naturally.

So true. Whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed like I'm not doing everything I want to do, a simple conversation with my husband helps me put it in perspective and chill out. It's not in my personality to be a perfectionist but sometimes I can get carried away with the Pinterest expectations.

I try to keep my kitchen accessable for guests. I have removed the doors to my cabinets so you can see everything. I also have everything neatly organized and labeled. I always check beforehand for allergies and preferences but ultimately try to go for easy meals. I keep a small card with our wifi info in the guest room.

Yes! Buffet style is a must. I like doing taco bowls with lots of toppings, that way people can make their bowl just the way they like.

I'm having my third child and last this year at 28. I'm so happy to have had my babies during my 20s. Most all of my mom friends are older than me and they seem worn out. I really don't know how they do it. 30 seems like a great cut off but that's when most ladies get started these days.

Tuna wraps with avocado and hummus, salami and cheese plate with fruit and veggies, egg scramble with greens, chicken salads, chili, loaded nachos, Asian chicken wraps, ramen bowls, grilled cheese with soup...

I'm super low maintenance when it comes to skin care. I find eating well helps keep breakouts and acne away. I wash my face with water and use coconut oil or almond oil to remove makeup. After I shower I apply rose hip oil for its anti aging properties. At night I apply a homemade serum: aloevera gel, almond oil and a few drops of frankincense essential oil. The frankincense chills me out, and it is anti aging. Every once in awhile I make a DIY mask with honey lemon and yogurt. I love how soft m…

I'll have to check that out. I'm a former dancer and choreographer and sometimes I just do a quick barre routine at home but I need the motivation of a video.

Totally my day today. I've been all over the place emotional. Fell down the stairs this am, kid shut his hand in the car door, cranky children, errands to run... I'm ready to go to bed and start over tomorrow.

That's totally my father. He is pretty introverted and hates conflict. He will do it if he has to but he's not happy about it and usually tries to avoid it at all costs.

I think you handled the situation just fine. Make sure you are sweet about it and don't come off as rude. It seems like he appreciated your handling of the situation. Overall I think it's best not to sweat the small stuff, like sauce. Ultimately you are not in control of his emotions or mood. Be a light, positive dinner date whether he gets sauce or not.

I think I like the PDF better than the book. I like how it is concise and easy to reference. You're right, it's a little cheesy but worth it.

Thanks for the reminder. I remember reading this principle in FW a couple years back and having great results. The dramatic foot stomp works wonders.

I totally agree with you. After six years of marriage and three kids, life becomes a balance of the two. Each year we grow in both areas and it just keeps getting better.

Tips for trimming your own hair at home? I don't have a budget for the salon but I'm sure my hair needs a good trim. It has been a while.

I've either been pregnant or nursing for the past five years so that's my natural, quick way to get long hair. Ways to keep it healthy and looking great: - I no longer dye or color my hair - I wash it at least every other day sometimes every two days. - prenatal vitamins - plenty of water - I only use heat on my hair once a week sometimes longer - brush my hair often Products I love: Mane and tail shampoo, argon oil, coconut oil, I've never heard of the inversion method. I'm so intrigued!
