Figure out something you want to make and then pursue the specific programming skills you want to make it. If you want to build a web app, try following a tutorial on Ruby on Rails or Flask (which is Python). If you want to make a mobile app, you will need to brush up on Java (for Android), or learn Swift (for iOS). Apps that have any sort of network features will require a server-side component that will be very similar to a website/web app anyway, so it might be prudent to pursue that first. A…

I'm the CTO at a small Chicago company. I hardly knew anything about startups/equity before I came to my current company, but there are some very important details that most people ignore. I figure I can chime in here and shed some light on /u/true_detective_sf's claims. He says: I've invested some money into SF startups and my share of those is worth about $50 million (not liquid at all.) What this means is that OP invested some money into a few startups that have since raised VC capital from o…

I think what /u/Lumberjack1234 is saying is that what it shows about a women is that she is unable to commit, but the partner count is just an indicator of the problem. A woman like that has issues to begin with and the high partner count is just a symptom. Overall, I agree with his view.

This is an amazing opportunity to really troll feminists. Similar to agree and amplify. "Hey guys, amazing news! Turns out college rape is only 6.1 cases in 1000, not 200 in 1000 like we originally thought. Isn't that amazing? The numbers are much lower than we thought. Looks like we've made a lot of progress!"

Just do a Google search for the article title. It will always lead to a non-paywall link.

This is one of the worst threads I have ever seen in this subreddit. Honestly OP, what you are writing sounds like a load of pointless fucking drivel. Unsubstantiated claims such as: Now I am not saying that guys who missed out on the whole love and sex in college can't make up for lost time as adult males, they sure as hell can. What I am saying is that they are never really right in the head when they are grown men. Usually, a lot of these guy turn out to be the manchild who pursue pussy for v…

This is a great reply. I agree with you that cheating is not at all admirable and should not be condoned. However, this makes a great case study for the importance of holding frame, even in the worst possible scenario (getting caught cheating).

Wow that was a fantastic reply. Also, don't waste your breath on this guy since he posted in this subreddit about the exact same girl 3 months ago.

Pretty good. I wish the entire site didn't read like clickbait though. "__ THINGS THAT SUCCESSFUL MEN DO" or "THE SECRET TO ____" is not really too appealing. Imagine if all the submissions to this subreddit had that format. Nobody would come here.

Missing what is probably the most important element of all. 8. A Man Needs to be Willing to Learn A man needs to devote time and effort towards improving his knowledge and skills. This may be one area, or it may be a variety of different disciplines. Honing one's skills and becoming an expert at something is an incredible sense of accomplishment. Being willing to put in the work to learn from school, the workplace, or even other wiser men is an invaluable trait that will pay dividends for the re…

Been lurking around /r/TheRedPill since it had like 17k subscribers. I have read many posts like this and this was the same reaction I had. This post is bullshit. Particularly the name-forgetting component. First we have: Light texting/banter with conversation lasting approximately 10 minutes. Tone was set and so was the date later that evening. So the OP and his supposed date have certainly exchanged numbers, talked before, planned this date, and now talk again the day of the date. It seems imp…
