Comment karma is not directly related to how much time one spends on the internet. You can lurk (i.e. not comment or post) and spend huge amounts of time. You can switch multiple accounts and do the same. You can write dozens of well thought out comments in smaller subreddits and get 2-3 upvotes each, or you can make a pun on something hot on /r/all and get multiple hundred upvotes. Also the age of the account should be taken into account.

This is just natural behaviour. They are not completely resistant to reason, which is why questions and contrarian perspectives anger them so much. In this case I think she was just tense and decided to start a big fight. DavidByron she had make this into some huge crusade that was "for the children!!!1!" (Read her depiction that I linked to. Why is it offensive? It's not that women are viewed a certain way physically, but there are real biological differences in the bodies. Equality is about treating everyone the same, because we're all human; not about ignoring biological differences. And for the record, I don't think of female athletes any less, just because they don't perform as highly as male athletes.
