All else aside, that’s probably their problem right there. Lack of social awareness will lead to behaviors that are a turn off because lack of social awareness will mean the guy always misfires. Intense, not intense , needy, not needy - none of it matters at that point if the person is lacking self and social awareness; it will always miss the target.

Feels like a sort of drowning or falling into quicksand. Worst thing I’ve ever felt. I hope you find a support system too. The Reddit community is a bit of a saving grace for me right now.

It’s called having intuition, awareness, and perception ;)

If showing your true feelings to someone and embracing intensity makes your significant other think your are needy and desperate, then your significant other has an avoidant attachment style. Women LOVE attention from the guy they like. They don't see it as needy if they are emotionally available and healthy. It only crosses the line when the guy becomes a doormat. No-one likes a doormat. But intensity and devotion? Bring it on. I won't settle for any less!

1) Don’t be passive aggressive in communication. Have the confidence to be clear and direct. A guy I recently dated thought that any concern that was brought up signaled the end of the relationship so he’d internalize everything until he was so resentful that he had no choice but to break up. It’s a huge turn off. 2) have integrity in the sense that have accountability for what you say and do without flip-flopping. 3) Speak eloquently as in speak with good grammar, and try to use as little slang…

Communicate openly. Have integrity. Speak eloquently.

It’s a spiritual concept for me as well, but I was trying to explain it in more colloquial terms so as to help the asker to understand.

I think he means that he is protective/selective of the energy he lets into his personal space. I am like this, too.

I’m not sure I understand. How did you ‘lose’ your ability to feel emotions?

Gotcha. I didn’t realize you were just referring to casual hookups. I was referring more to relationships.

Ummmm this is terrible advice. Whether or not you think it’ll affect the interest at of the girls you disclose this to, you really shouldn’t keep this a secret. A person’s sexuality is pretty fundamental and hiding that from a romantic partner is pretty devious. Better to be open and if the girl isn’t ok with it then move on and find someone who is.

How do you know what women across the board, of all ages, across all cultures think or feel? Are you the Wizard of Oz or some type of oracle that has lived a thousand years? Get a grip and humble yourself. Women definitely don't like mansplaining, that's for sure.

As someone of the female gender, I can firmly say this is not true lol. Perhaps some girls place such a high value on physical appearance that they couldn't care for anything else, but you probably shouldn't focus on those kinds of girls anyway.

You sound way too focused on your outward appearance but haven't said a word about your personality/character/intelligence. Maybe all this investment in physicality has left some personality/talent to be desired, and that might be what the girls you're interacting with are picking up on. Good for you for glowing up, but I'd try to glow up on the inside as well and then revisit the dating scene.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
