What is it that you want? Anything can be accomodated in marriage if your partner is willing. What is lacking in your marriage? You can make the marriage work for you and everyone, again if your partner is willing. You create your happiness in anything that you do.

Pay attention to red flags, trust your instincts. Date longer and see how the other party handles bad/uncomfortable situations--see how the react when they are angry. Do they want to build with you or just build themselves.

Yes, we did counseling. 4 sessions in, quit before the topic was to unravel the past and talk things out. Couldnt even bring it up and be "judged" about it by a nuetral 3rd party. Prefers to bury things and never talk about it again, but obviously that leads to patterns of making the same mistakes.
