Men who want to settle down and start a family wouldn't just go for anything. This is an apples to oranges comparison. She is comparing the women who want to settle down with the men who just want some quick fun. Once a guy is looking to settle down, he also needs someone stable, trustworthy and reliable that he has something in common with and can get along with.

Imagine that, women suffering any consequences over their career choices. There needs to be equal number of women on the job, but without any danger that the men face.

Hey, it's just a nuclear power plant, I'm sure anyone could handle it at a moment's notice :D

It's even worse when you're with a girl, because alone you can run away if you're confronted by dangerous and hostile people, but with a girl you'll have to stay there and deal with whatever they're going to do. Even if some guys just say something rude, women tend to expect that you'll set them straight somehow, even if you're outmatched.

Women are statistically more anxious than men, so even though they are statistically less likely to be victimized by a stranger on the street, they feel more worried about it. I don't think that they would worry less (or have less to worry about) if there would be no men around protecting them from the environment or maintaining all the necessities and luxuries of a modern society.
/r/MensRights27/12/22 03:37 AM

What percentage of men would violently assault a random woman on the street? Statistically that number could be rounded down to zero. So "not all" doesn't quite cut it when it's far closer to "none". Just say "criminals" then and there's no issue. Imagine if I was talking about getting rid apples, because I didn't like rotten apples. Saying "not all" wouldn't really narrow it down much.

She's saying this from the comfort of a Western society that is built by men to be reasonably safe from various dangers of natural environment. Wonder how women in less developed countries would feel about her thought experiment?
/r/MensRights27/12/22 03:18 AM

If it's so noticeable that she would feel unsafe then she must be exhibiting something. Otherwise, why would it be an issue?
/r/MensRights27/12/22 03:15 AM

Why not just say "criminals" when almost all men should be excluded from the category? It's like saying that "apples taste terrible" when you're only thinking of rotten apples (adding "not all apples" still wouldn't convey the point accurately).

I've had to deal with violence both outdoors and indoors. I do have to consider when to go out and where. While she may be worried about getting raped, men are worried about getting stabbed. She may feel safer when she's not alone, but the man is still not safe. I remember reading a story in a local newspaper in UK of a guy getting stabbed to death on a public bus that has CCTV, because he objected to some crackhead throwing popcorn at him and his girlfriend. General violence is something that I…

Someone got downvoted into negative numbers for suggesting that men would be needed in nuclear power plants for example and that things could get pretty bad if they just disappeared. Personally, I imagine a lot of planes would be dropping from skies, there would be serious issues in transportation of all kind, crime would be rampant (because there would hardly be any cops left, but female criminals would remain), hospitals would have serious problems and so on...

If you're genuinely afraid of someone then why would you arbitrarily choose to try to anger them if the quickest way to get rid of them without a conflict would be to just do the job that you were hired for?

Gotta wonder what else wouldn't they consider child abuse then. Like, where do they draw the line? You can't yell at your kid or beat them, but you can cut their genitals? Err... I'd rather take a beating.

Yeah, as the post says, consider the social implications. Well, the same can be said about a nose job, maybe it will make people like you more and make you fit in with others. So it's all fine, right? I don't think so.

Aren't there religious implications for FGM as well? I mean, why do Muslims do it? And how is cutting the genitals of your kid just for the sake of ideology not child abuse? Hell, yelling at your kid could be viewed as child abuse, but cutting them isn't? And what physical implications? The physical implications that reduce sensitivity and increase the likelihood of ED? Or the risk of botched surgeries? How are those physical implications positive? And then social implications? You mean peer pre…

Yeah, 'cause what could be better than rape, am I right, guys? Notice, though, how she lumps rape in with any random abuse or criminal behavior. It's all the same, eh? If you've ever thought about getting away with littering then you're in the same group with guys who've thought of getting away with rape. Anyway, what about women who actually do get away with rape, not just in their thoughts but in the actual real world, because their crimes aren't taken seriously by society?

Women still don't get paid equally for unequal work (guess what, you earn disproportionately less if you work fewer hours per week) and that's terrible? LOL! There are 7.6 billion people in the world, of course people are going to get killed every day and for a variety of reasons, including for being male. There are insane double standards and discrimination against men as well. You can decide what to do with your body, but your baby's body is a different matter. You can certainly make sure that…

I didn't say that you'd be another person, though :) What I meant is that you'd have the status of an average Joe (rather than the status of a billionaire), because your billions would be gone. There's no reason to introduce additional complicating details into the question. My point concerns only the two variables: time and money. It's a philosophical question, not an actual real world offer, so for all you know some supernatural entity could offer to de-age you back to your 20 year old self wi…

That's why there's MGTOW. If you're wise with your investments of time, money and energy then you can afford to have more fun than the average person. Both time and money are very valuable resources, but when you're out of time/life then you're screwed. When you're out of money then an intelligent and capable person can still make more money.

Indulge how? 80 year olds generally have all kinds of health issues that can make everyday life quite unpleasant. Basically, you're trading in your physical ability to do things and enjoy life for the ability to buy loads of stuff that's useless to you. Want to consume all kinds of food, drinks, etc? Well, you don't need to be a billionaire to afford a large variety of tasty foods, but your body needs to be healthy enough to handle that, otherwise you'll be on a rather restrictive diet. Want to …

I'd define young as in teens or early 20s. If I was an 80 year old billionaire, I'd gladly trade all of my material wealth to be 20 again. You don't really need huge sums of money to have a good life (there have been articles about how, once your income has reached a certain level, people don't get that much happier from increased earnings as there's only so much stuff that you can buy and only so much enjoyment that you're even capable of feeling) and if you were able to become a billionaire on…

Since this is a MGTOW subreddit, you might want to give fellow posters some benefit of the doubt that they might be on board with the general MGTOW viewpoints and not monsters in favor of random executions :) Basically, if a viewpoint seems too crazy to be real then you might want to give the post a second thought or ask a question before rushing to judgment.

The safety net means that men have less leverage in a relationship, while various laws give women more leverage. This means that the man's position in a relationship will be quite weak (she'll be wearing the pants, so to speak), so he'll just have to put up with the woman's shit or leave. Doesn't matter to her either way as long as the state takes care of her or even helps her to extract money from the guy whom she's no longer involved with. And, as long as women are the voting majority, they wi…

I imagine that the gist of it is that men put more money into various social programs (which incidentally women overwhelmingly support with their votes) than they take out and that includes programs aimed to assist single mothers and poor families. This means that not making babies won't save you from paying for children.

But you're not using my logic. I said that coffee shop feminists are "more reasonable" than the activists, not that they are reasonable overall. You do understand that there can be unreasonable people and extremely unreasonable people? The latter would be considered more unreasonable than the former.
/r/MensRights04/01/20 10:58 PM

Their reasonableness depends on how deeply they've bought into the ideology. A casual coffee shop feminist will generally be more reasonable than a dedicated activist who's willing to fight tooth and nail to defend every aspect of her ideology.

I agree. The dog has a job. It's a dangerous job, but that's how he earns his keep. He's basically working as a security guard for a living. It isn't some random dog who just happened to come along to help a fair maiden in distress merely to try to gain her love and attention. Hell, for all we know, he grew up with these animals and sees them as family (as brothers and sisters) and it's perfectly reasonable to fight for your family. Also, as others have pointed out, that's not his blood. His sac…

Some red pills are too hard to swallow, I guess. People have been so thoroughly brainwashed since childhood that even many people who are critical of feminism still have this rosy view of the previous waves of feminism. They just can't imagine how deep the web of lies goes.

I think he means well, but he hasn't really thought things through. Firstly, human nature doesn't work the way he wants it to. We aren't robots and most people won't just get into relationships and have children merely because it's the responsible thing to do. Most people act out of need and desire. The reality is that women no longer desperately need romantic relationships to survive, because now they can get an easy office job or help from the government and men don't desperately need wives, b…

I think you have very different standards in the US for what is considered wealthy or poor. You may not feel relatively wealthy in the US, but your random minimum wage worker would be seen as part of the middle class in many Eastern European countries. Sure, there are homeless people in every country, but people with full time employment do have different living standards in different countries. You may not feel relatively wealthy, because there are much wealthier people around you, but if you h…

Well, those two are what I had in mind when I said "the very largest cities." Couldn't you go there? If the living costs are high then you could find a place somewhere on the edges of the city. You could also temporarily share an apartment to cut down on rent and to be able to build up some savings. You could also try to find some work online, so that you could find higher paying clients from abroad.

There's no such thing as an unconditional love. There's always some way to completely break the bond if the other party wanted to do so and was creative enough in their efforts. Some bonds are stronger than others though and that has a lot to do with personal investment. Men are expected to invest heavily into the relationship and so they get roped in through their increasing investments like degenerate gamblers (in for a penny, in for a pound). Women aren't expected to invest as much and whatev…
