It’s heartbreaking. The worst part is as far as I’m concerned there’s literally nothing for her to feel legitimate remorse for at least in regard to how she has been with me the past few years. Thank you for bringing that last bit up. That’s a perfect articulation of how I view this whole situation and I just haven’t found the words for it. I know that when she’s feeling happy and well she places a lot of value on logical thinking and reason, so maybe I can add that tidbit of insight to my ammun…

I agree that she, maybe even both of us, need therapy. I think on some level she knows it too and I certainly DO want her to be happy and healthy! I just don’t want to either deliberately or unintentionally encourage that twisted side of her no matter how good my intentions are coming into it. The thought makes me feel gross and dirty. Until we can get therapy sorted though I’ll make sure to do my best to keep her chin up.
