The FBI had a budget of almost 9 billion in 2017. Genome sequencing just recently got under $1000 a person. These companies have had around 10 million customers each. The FBI can't spend a few years budget on sequencing random people's DNA.

That still fits into my comment under "someone with physical access to them". I was saying it's impossible to fake someone's DNA at a crime scene after getting their DNA sequence from a company like 23andMe.

Not on a genome scale, especially enough to be found at a crime scene. Buying short pieces of DNA costs around 20 cents a base. Larger pieces are more expensive per base. The largest printed pieces are 2000 bases at most. There's no way to print an entire 3 billion base pair genome without a government level budget and years of work.

You can't fake DNA that was actually found at a crime scene. Either that person was there or someone with physical access to them took some and planted it. Knowing someone's DNA sequence is easy, creating it is impossible.

We'll certainly know all that stuff in a few decades but yeah, nothing soon. Intelligence will likely be even more difficult because of the association it has with autism. Children of engineers, medical doctors, and other highly technical fields will have children with much higher rates of autism.
