I still will not sleep with a woman who is having sex with another man. It's just gross. Just me or?

What helped me heal was going to the gym and running.

It's easy for me to say now so many years after my divorce. But just cut off all contact with her and never speak to her again.

It's a dangerous thing. As I'm sure you know. My mom dragged me to church as a small kid and remember being weirded out by it.

My ex wife was pregnant about 12 months after our official divorce was signed. I think she was waiting to see the outcome in order to be able to plan properly. She already had a new man when we separated though. It was tough watching her leave with him and have his kid. But in the end I am glad because when I see her now I couldn't imagine being with her or living with her.

Happened to me. Wife had our kid and then left and wanted a divorce at around the 1 year mark. Interesting enough though is that she went on Birth Control right after the baby was born. The guy she left me for was a poindexter type and really submissive to her. I was the opposite. Kind of fits what op is saying.

For the guys out there looking to get back into relationships. Generally you probably will have a hard time finding a good wife living the city life. I am jaded from my divorce, but I know I could find a wife again if I wanted. And I wouldn't be dating or looking for anyone in NYC or any big city unless I was worth millions of dollars.

It's weird. A lot of women put up with having a man child around and basically run the entire household. And other women absolutely despise men who act like that.

I know what you mean about the phone calls and never getting married again. Its been 17 years for me, and I still have bad feelings when I hear the ring tone from my phone back then. Also I kept my promise to myself and never got married again. It was actually fun telling my parents and family that I will remain single forever. The peace and tranquility of NOT having to worry is worth it for sure.

For me it was the first time I pulled into my driveway and this feeling came over me. No one was going to yell at me when I walked in. And I parked properly. No joke I remember the relief.

Happened to me and the IRS blocked my refund. I went to HR block and paid them a small fee. They wrote a letter to the IRS on my behalf and attached a copy of the court order. I had my refund in two weeks after they sent the letter.

Divorce really made me learn a lot about myself and work to fix many of my flaws. It's been a challenging and somewhat rewarding process. Throughout it all I've learned that my ex wife too will never be happy. She wants me gone I go, she gets mad. I come back, she is mad that she has to be around me. There is no winning against this madness, so it's best to just not play. For your own sanity. Those who know, know.

I had a lawyer in BH whom I paid 375 per hour to back in 2008 2009. Took me four years to get it all completed properly and divorced. My lawyer pushed the case off and did similar to what you posted. I finally called the head of the firm directly and spoke to the boss. My lawyer was mad but he got to work and made it happen. From my experience you need to guide them and tell them what you want exactly and when and all that. It's not like TV where they think about your case and how they are going…

It's been 15 years since my divorce. I have been with a lot of women in that time. But never had the desire to partner up, or try for a solid family again. The pain I went through from the cheating and her destroying my daughter's life, never went away.

Parents gave me the old "when are you getting married again?" speech. I just gave them some bs about having a few girls in mind and smiled my way through it. Truthfully I think women are sexy. But I don't feel anything towards them anymore like I did before I was married.

Crazy. My panic attacks suddenly stopped the moment she left. Like that same night I slept like a rock.

Wow so relatable. I remember the first time I pulled into my driveway after she finally left, and had all her things out. It took me a minute to figure out why my heart felt so light, and my mind was so clear and calm. Like you I spent years wondering what craziness she had in store for me when I got home from work. Never again.

I drank heavily in the early stages of my divorce. Spending all day at work and having to take breaks constantly and deal with her and my lawyer. Worrying about my daughter being safe. And the expenses and uncertainty of things was all too much and I would just drink. Finally stopped and was able to get a grasp on the situation and get it handled.

Very well put. It used to be that you had to compete for love against a few other guys in your town or social group. And eventually you clicked with someone close. Now you have to compete against millions of other men around the world.

California here. Wife made way less money than me after 3 years. Attorney said she could press for spousal support, but he would fight it; since she willingly left, and went to live with some other guy. Plus we had a kid, and I had majority custody. She never pursued it, and I never paid her a dime besides normal marital asset division. Worst part was having the lawyers/courts digging so much into our lives and the lack of privacy. All of that stress. All of that upheaval. All of the thousands o…

A big part of it was feeling like she "won". By finding someone better. Then after a while I realized that there are so many women out there, and no one is really that special. The worst part was my daughter. Having to drop her off and see her go with my ex-wife and some other dude. Why would she want to hurt our kid?

Wife left me for another man, and I had a painful divorce. Mainly due to it hurting our daughter. I'd say it took me 4-5 years to recover financially and emotionally to where I didn't care about her anymore.

It sucks, but you're going to have to forget about her. What worked for me was going to the gym and getting a nice body. Meeting other women, and realizing that marriage is not a life time commitment, and there are no soul mates. It just is what it is. Reproduction. Not personal. No emotions.
/r/Divorce_Men10/10/24 01:45 AM

Basically you get shaken so bad that when you recover, you know that there isn't anything else as bad as what you went through. So you don't care anymore. What really woke me up was how obviously unfair and unjust that the whole process is. And that no one cared.

Yep. That's what I keep saying. Can't allow myself to be put in that situation ever again. It was beyond traumatic. Especially with children involved.
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/24 10:06 PM

What I can't get over is how they ruin the lives of their children over stuff like this. Knowing full well that divorce absolutely traumatized children, and alters their lives in such a terrible way. No other female species on Earth actively ruins their lineage and family structure over petty emotions. Something is just not right.

Totally agree. It may sound cliche but video games make me feel good, and they are always there for me. I can base my life on them. With a woman, that's dangerous because she can leave or fall in love with some other guy by the time you get home from work. Not worth the risk.

We are wired for love and intimacy. Our bodies push us to do it, regardless of what's happening in the outside world. So it's very hard to find a path that's satisfying without being in a relationship. That being said. The horrors of divorce that I went through, and have seen other men go through make it very easy for me to avoid. Truly not caring and finding something else to devote your life too besides a woman has worked for me. 16 years now post divorce.

Women have options. What I had was never enough to satisfy her. Make 80k. Drive a 6 cylinder car. Have a 3 bedroom house. And a nice gym body. There is a guy out there who makes 90k per year. Drives an 8 cylinder. He has a 4 bedroom house. And has bigger muscles than me. Literally there are 1000s of other men better than me within my zip code available to her. All willing to dispose of me and sleep with my wife. Why should she choose to stay with me? They have options. Lot's of options. And with…

Glad that I didn't have to be around her, but very upset that she messed up our child's life, just because she wanted to have fun. You don't even see female wild animals do that to their offspring. I remember the freedom I felt the first day I pulled into my driveway without her, and being able to rearrange my house the way I wanted. After you have a kid though, all that partying, and sleeping with other dudes crap should be put on hold.

For marriage, you tell the \\young/// woman and her family what the deal is up front, and marry her, and devote your life to her, and pay her family off. It's how you love, how you carry yourself, not letting yourself be a pushover. Being a real man. No one can screw you over unless you let them. For girlfriends, you just date them, and have fun, one after the other, never revealing your true power.

In all seriousness it's about money. The more money you have, the better looking woman you will qualify for. It sucks, and the dating culture has been broken for many years now. Once you realize it's just a number$ game then you know not to take it personally. And can adjust for it. As for me, I gave up long ago, a few years after my divorce. If I happen to hit the lottery, or strike it rich, then I will consider relationships with women again. But until then I am not straining myself to get ric…

Yeah honestly it's way too hard to have a relationship because of this. I see how my female co workers behave. They are all married, or in serious relationships. And all of their men are just used as props in their profile pictures.

Was away on business, and she wouldn't answer her phone for 2 days. Finally got a hold of my family, and they told me that she was with some guy. Flew home as soon as I could and she admitted to it right as I got home. I guess she had went to a concert during my trip and hooked up with a guy she met during a party. Divorced her. She ruined our marriage and our poor daughter's life over it.

Divorce lawyers need divorce or else they wouldn't have a business. Just like doctors need sick people to stay in business. Just like anything else the courts are a system and have a consciousness of their own and they will not stop growing until men step up and fix the problem.

In the beginning, I was having these heart palpitations that felt like there was an earthquake. Like I literally thought it was an earthquake, but it was just my heart beating really fast. I distinctly remember though, the day I pulled into my driveway knowing that I was finally free from her. It was like my body and mind had adjusted to the years of constant nagging and stress, that now I finally was free, and didn't know what to do with all that extra happiness and energy.

Nah my mother was the cool one. We always loved when my dad was at work, or away from the family. He was a miserable hateful jealous person. Always tearing people down, a snake, and extremely manipulative. My mom did tell me things that make so much sense now after my disaster marriage/divorce. She always told me about how her friends basically disowned her when she got married, and worked to get her divorced because they were still single. And my dad wasn't her first option. She settled. She st…

Men are at fault for a lot of this. Sleeping with and hitting on married women. I won't even try even if a girl has a boyfriend. Some guy slept with my wife and ruined my marriage. If he'd have been honorable and found his own woman, then I might still have my family.

Like they always say. Forgive, but don't forget. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Take manageable risks and build wealth. Save money. Women are nice-to-haves, and marriage is a huge risk.

My ex-wife did the whole cry and yell and accuse thing at our mediation. I was lucky that the mediator saw right through it, and didn't budge or change anything drastically in her favor. After it was over and she found out that the mediator ruled against her and in my favor she threw a huge fit.

My ex-wife totally changed and became a new person the exact moment that I caught her cheating on me. She was extremely vile and hateful to me in ways that I could never expect someone to be. I was in more of a shock at how she could treat me so bad than the actual affair.

Yeah man. Saw a FB post of my ex wife and her new boyfriend. Comments talking about all the ups and downs they've had and all they've been through. It's like YEAH duh. You slept with a married woman with kids and destroyed a family. You think that wasn't gonna come with any problems??

It's been 11 years for me since I was finally divorced. Been in a few relationships since. But once it started get close to becoming even remotely long-term serious I would always break-up. Finally just stopped dating altogether because it wasn't fair to the women. I can honestly say that I don't trust any woman. Because they are legally allowed to cheat and divorce and get paid for doing it.

The damage to the children and families is what I find to be the most disturbing. Every man with kids in here knows the terrible impact that a broken home has on their precious children. How can someone be ok with ripping apart an entire family all for some boyfriend or affair? And the men who sleep with married women are just as responsible. There is a reason why adultery and sexual moral laws/customs existed. To protect innocent children!

Wow. Kind of similar to me. I've had chances with a few really beautiful women since my divorce. And I've always backed out before I started having feelings. It's like I can see the future with them and I'm not taking that chance. I knew when I got divorced that I would never put myself in that situation ever again.

Human nature. When someone is wrong they will bark and bark in order to make themselves feel better. The best and sweetest thing you can do to someone like that is to not respond or react to them at all. And make every action moving forward about bettering and protecting yourself. Treat her like you would treat a dude who you KNOW is trying to screw you over on a bad business deal.

In Muslim countries life is actually valued. Men and women realize the importance of human life, love, and the future of their children. Women don't dress with their butts hanging out and showing their bodies off for everyone to see. Yes there is divorce, yes there are sluts, but they aren't rewarded for that behavior and it is considered unsettling and damaging to the sacred family unit.

Having sex with some other guy and nuking an entire family is not a husband's fault. How can people be so careless about the future of their child's lives? All over sex with some stinky dude?
