Addressing your reference to political inequality: according to the census, 50.7% of the US population is female. Political leaders are elected. Granted, the popular vote does not determine the outcome, but surely in a population that is roughly 1/2 male and 1/2 female, you would expect to see candidate pools that are roughly 1/2 male and 1/2 female. Like most things, there is probably a middle ground between these two seemingly extreme views on parenting. There are solid arguments for encouraging (even forcefully) academics and certain extracurricular activities, and there are also solid arguments advocating a low-pressure, low-stress environment in which kids can learn. A combination of these two tactics might be the best bet, and tailoring them to an individual child or situation should probably be part of the plan.

Did you write this? If so, it's good and seems well-rounded, but I have a question for you: the principle of equal pay for less work. Personally, I support that principle. Why do you support equal pay for unequal work? Thanks!

tl;dr; Men are naturally more extreme than women at both the top and bottom of the curve. Studies show that in situations where there is a ceiling but no floor (or a general skew towards the top, like grades), men have averages that are artificially worse, and in situations where there is a floor but no ceiling (like wages), men have averages that are artificially better.

Some men think women are weaker and can therefore be pushed around. This would be a huge advantage to an experienced female player. She could hustle the whole table. Hasn't anyone seen White Men Can't Jump?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
