Depending on the situation, I wouldn't necessarily mind if my boyfriend/person I'm dating is friends with their ex, but if he described her as his "soulmate," that would be a big red flag for me. If he already has a soulmate, what am I going to be? Second best? Nah...

He is taking time to grieve, but you have also already done your part in reaching out to him. If he wants to connect with you, he will. Too many eggs in this basket too early!

My long distance ex of 10 months told me my standards/expectations were too high when I was upset that I flew to see him and he picked me up 30+ min late from the airport, didn't clean up his place or put clean sheets on the bed, didn't plan a single date for when I was there, he didn't even get me a birthday present which was a week earlier. Dumped his ass!

My life goal since I was 15 (now early 30s) was to travel the world. I have a job that allows me to do that and offers the opportunity to live abroad for 1 or more years at a time. I love living my life how I want, making my own money, spending time with my friends, and bopping all over the world doing it. A man can either pick up and follow me or not, but I'm going to be happy living my dream. :)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
