For both sexes face is most important for sure. That’s why I hate the fact that I’m a butterface lmao.

I tried to pursue a guy who had zero prior experience but he was obsessed with these two women (one of whom is his best friend) and is set on being with a certain type of woman. I offered to take his virginity, and he seemed to like the idea but was so hung up on these other women that he cried and said he couldn’t do it. Basically, I’d be happy to date a guy with no experience, but if he’s hung up on someone else or has a ‘type’ that I don’t seem to fit and he doesn’t want to stray from, I’m go…

Yes, there are plenty of different types of men that women are attracted to. Look at the spectrum of male celebs being thirsted over, you’d never see tons of men proudly thirsting over the female equivalent of Benedict Cumberbatch, Adam Driver or Matt Smith. Sure, some men thirst over less attractive women, but there’s never been an unconventionally attractive female sex symbol like the men I’ve listed. I’m personally into short guys. I know women who prefer tall guys but have dated across the h…

Peak fertility occurs during a woman’s 20s, definitely not teens. As for aging, that’s highly variable. All of you people are around individuals that age badly if you think 25 is where all of that happens.

From what I’ve seen people around me go through with handling small children it sounds exhausting and draining. But mostly, I just don’t want to deal with pregnancy and childbirth. I have extreme anxiety over the thought of it and it freaks me out, I think it’s called tokophobia. I may change my attitude towards having children and choose to adopt or get a surrogate instead, but I don’t want a baby growing inside me. I don’t know what I’ll think in a few years to come.

They only show if your genetics aren’t good or you lead a bad lifestyle. The 25 year olds I know could pass for much younger.

At what age do you think that happens? I’ve dated older in the past and while those guys were looking for fun I’ve met some in their late 30s who were dead set on never having kids. Also, it’s funny that many men express the desire to have kids but you have those that urge their wives to have sex again ASAP and judge them for being less physically attractive after having a baby. I know this isn’t all men, but the amount of stories I’ve heard of this online and in real life is crazy. The thought …

There aren’t a shortage of guys who’d date me, I’m currently seeing one right now. It’s a matter of picking the ones that have the desire to remain childfree, and yes, those exist.

I don’t really think most are into the older look, I am, but I often get seen as crazy for being into it. I get what you mean though.

If you’re seeing noticeable signs of aging on 28 year olds like wrinkles and such then either they previously made poor lifestyle choices to speed up the process or it’s due to genetics because no 28 year old woman that I know has clear signs of aging. Maybe ethnicity/race has something to do with it, white people visually age faster in general from observation. So essentially the baby-faced look is what is considered most desirable right? Or am I wrong in thinking that this is the thing that me…

Lol stand me next to a 28 year old and you’d take back that statement quickly hahaha. You’re really overestimating the desirability of the average 21 year old. 28 year olds aren’t even old-looking, guys in here are most likely around women who age badly due to poor lifestyle because the women in my life who are 28-35, relatives specifically, still get mistaken for being high schoolers or in university. Genetics and lifestyle play a major factor.

“Age out” as in get too old to be desirable, which isn’t true. Most of the celebrities men lust after are in their 30s. Margot Robbie, Ana De Armas and Scarlett Johansson being popular choices. Would the average man go for women like them being the ages that they are or some average-looking uni student? Attractive women are attractive women regardless of age.

Certain age gap relationships can be predatory. A 40 y/o who goes after barely legal women specifically is definitely predatory, but a guy in his 30s who happens to bond with a woman in her early 20s and they fall in love isn’t. Some age gaps are predatory, but not all. I think social media has taken it to the extreme. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Saying “used up” when most women don’t have more than a few sex partners by 25 is a terrible statement.

I didn’t bring up anything about height and personally find shorter men attractive. I agree that some women judge based on height but this isn’t relevant to the topic at hand.

Black don’t crack is real. It’s probably why my sisters who are well past HS age still get asked if they’re in school, but I think it’s because I have a family of people with ‘baby faces’ rather than melanin alone. I myself get heavily ID’d, asked where my parents are when I’m alone in a facility and a few months back was asked why I wasn’t in school by police officer lol.

List all of the things that make women past their prime at 25. What’s the difference between a 25 and 29 year old? Also you’ll see many comments that disagree. Projection isn’t cute.

Really? Because some of the commenters have this weird fantasy of 18-25 year olds which I can assure you isn’t true. A man would have to be a complete fool if he would reject a 30 year old who looked like Margot Robbie to have a 20 year old who looked like… well, me, due to some sort of age preference. And people can look better with age if they know how to take care of their skin and hair, which a 28 year old is more likely to know how to do better. The differences between 21 and 28 looks-wise …

I’m not ugly. I mean, I’m definitely fuckable enough, I just have a meh face, mostly because of my chin/jaw area and that it’s really recessed + I’ve got a larger than average forehead (which is common among my ethnicity). I’m getting jaw surgery next year so hopefully that’ll help balance things out.

I think it’s more so you wanting someone who looks as childlike as possible because in no way does a 28 year old look worse than a 21 year old, in general. Men on here make such extreme generalisations to say that all women in the 18-25 category are attractive. Most are average looking at best and some improve with age.

Been with less guys is dependent on the person really. I know plenty my age who’ve slept around. Baggage is also dependent on the person. I’ve seen many youthful 30 year olds and bitter 20 year olds (including myself)

I understand, and yeah I know it’s more to do with people on average and that many don’t work on maintaining their appearance as they age. But I’m more so talking about those who say that women over 25 are “used up” or “worn out” as if we are fucking cars.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/23 03:58 PM

This is a very common argument I hear. That it’s more to do with youthful energy and not looks by themselves. It’s funny that I hear this because mental illness is rife among my age group so we go out partying to numb the pain lol.

I think celebrities can be seen differently though because they have the money for treatment. Most 35 year olds won’t look as youthful as Ana De Armas and most 65 year olds sure as hell won’t look as young and beautiful as Angela Bassett. Certain celebrities looked much better in their 30s and 40s but that’s largely because they can get all the procedures in the world to stay looking great. The amount of male celebs who’ve had hair transplants is insane, it’s basically the standard for most of t…

As someone under 25 myself what is more important in determining this, looks or attitude? Because a 28 year old will still look young and beautiful, but will act a lot differently from a 20 year old. Is it the naïveté of younger women that is so compelling?

How are you telling me what I prefer? There’s really no point in me trying to argue with a brick wall here. I value intelligence over looks and that is that.

I mean people like attractive people. Do you not? I don’t have a set ‘type’ but I’ve mostly dated short to average height nerdy guys, not the type of people this sub would claim that all women like. People are different, and you’d be surprised that women have a wider scope of who they’re actually attracted to and see as hot as men. There are numerous studies showing that men value looks over intelligence, so don’t act as though you’d go for a woman who looks like 2000s Melissa McCarthy over pres…

Yeah, the type of guys I and my friend group find attractive vary. I see Chris Hemsworth’s appeal, I’m not blind, but I’m just not into him. I find celebs like Richard Ayoade and Louis Theroux hot.

It’s more so the fantasy of a dominant man and how porn has made a caricature out of Black men. Just like how Asian women are hyper-feminised, Black men are hyper-masculinised which is why in the US they’re the most fetishised group. This in turn leads to a knock-on effect in how Black women and Asian men are perceived, it’s pretty fucked.

Well that’s rubbish. I’m not going to let myself get manipulated because of a guy’s attractiveness. Women who make guys wait for sex aren’t doing it based on attractiveness but because it aligns with their values. Unattractive men can get laid if they wanted to, and many do. I’ve seen a few incels in real life and they weren’t even ugly, just troubled. Only a small amount of people in this world are unfuckable.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/23 04:49 PM

What would constitute as the top 15-20%? This weird hierarchical sexual marker system makes it seem as though anyone who doesn’t fit the stereotype won’t get laid, however, that isn’t true, as plenty of regular-looking guys you can find in your local supermarket are in a relationship. You don’t need to have the perfect body or face to be a part of that.

Lol come on! Go outside and see the average dude out on a date with a regular woman. Women have differing tastes to what is perceived in RP circles, it’s not about settling for less. And even if the partner in question wasn’t their physical type, personality is the most attractive thing to many people. I’ve had some guys admit to never having been with a non-white woman before they met me, but they expanded their usual preferences and found me attractive. No one just sits there and waits for a t…

No, women aren’t a monolith in any sense. There is no singular thing that all women find attractive. Even among my friends, our tastes in men differ greatly and that’s okay. I’m into older, short, nerdy men, one of my friends is into skinny artsy guys regardless of height. It’s not only the 6’3” muscly guys getting action, the world would cease to exist otherwise.

If all women wanted a rich tall man then humans would’ve gone extinct long ago. While some women have those expectations it isn’t the majority, and in the past it was only seen as such because men had restricted women’s economic freedoms to the point where they had no choice but to be hypergamous if they wanted to live a better life. You’re just looking to use women as a scapegoat rather than taking the opportunity to actually improve yourself and have a healthy outlook on life. As a woman, I su…

While I agree that looks are important and are prioritised above personality, I believe the average looking person can become more attractive with personality changes. However, if you are genuinely ugly society will not be kind to you no matter how charming you are.

Or maybe it comes from consuming content online which instils this fear into them and some may not have legitimate experiences with them. Men who generalise all women and act as though women are a monolith are mostly the ones who aren’t speaking to them in real life.

Don’t know if I agree. I’ve been told that I’m desirable by a lot of men and could easily find someone who is willing to fuck me but in terms of looks I’m no more than a 5 on a good day. I’m a young thin woman with nice hair, skin and teeth, but I’m not pretty. I’d probably be a 3 in terms of how fuckable I am, but appearance-wise I have a meh face so would be a 4.5 on a general 1-10 scale.

Lucky? You’re a pedo. No self-respecting woman or girl would ever want you. You probably go around schools catcalling girls you see wearing a uniform. And no, women aren’t biologically in their peak under 21, peak fertility occurs during their 20s. Teen mothers are more likely to suffer with complications than those who give birth in their 20s. You just can’t handle a woman who’s mentally mature and one who can actually think independently for herself. You see women as disposable toys for you to…

I think people should have a choice in what they want to do so I don’t take any issue with others engaging in it. I just think hooking up with a random person can be scary because you don’t know what that person is like, what their motives are and whether they’ll harm you or not. There is also unfortunately an issue with stealthing, and if that occurs you don’t know if the person in question has an STD or not, so that’s another concern. If you have unprotected sex with strangers from the get go,…

Short men can be seen as very desirable if they meet someone who isn’t shallow enough to want a guy who’s 6’1+, most women I’ve met don’t mind so long as he’s a little taller. I’m dating a short skinny guy. All of my crushes have been short. They’re honestly the sexiest to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 01:32 PM

You’re right, there isn’t an objective measure, there is just observation. Though it is incredibly easy to find many profiles with photos at the angles I’m talking about. On those dating app subreddits majority of the profiles being reviewed get criticised due the lack of good photos. Maybe I wasn’t on any app long enough, but from my observations, it’s not great.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 07:18 AM

That’s weird because I’ve seen lots of women express interest in lanky guys myself, I know I sure have. Many people in this sub seem to generalise all women and lump us into the same category. Women aren’t a monolith and each will have their preferences. I’ve met men who have expressed a disinterest in skinny women and only go for curvier ones, doesn’t mean I complain about it, as the reality is that many men would be happy dating someone skinny. Many women would too.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 07:15 AM

Eh, women put more effort into photo-taking, believe me. I know that that’s not the reason women get more matches, men are less choosy because most are looking to hook up, but men’s photo choices are horrible. Any photo you’re looking at of a women she probably would have taken multiple of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 07:09 AM

Miles better than men’s photos. Men either seem to be obsessed with taking weird side view photos or ones where they’re looking down. I don’t get it tbh.

Since when? Skinny guys are seen as attractive. Of course being severely underweight isn’t good but I’ve never seen women turn down thin men. Most women I know like a lean man and hate the muscular look. I think you’re on the internet way too much and get all your perceptions here.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 07:01 AM
13

But that would be the case regardless of gender. I think women get way more on average, but anyone with weight loss would get more matches. Society is a lot kinder to thinner people.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 12:53 AM

To be honest most men suck at creating dating profiles, even the conventionally attractive ones. Photos are taken at horrible and unflattering angles, bad lighting, etc. And will put the most vague profiles. In the past when I would use the apps I’d go for who seemed the most interesting rather than who was hot (conventionally).
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 12:48 AM

Nah I’ve seen men overrate themselves. Men generally overconfident and so self-assured. They also pick a very specific demographic of women to rate anyway.

I’m kind to all people I meet. I’ve never seen a 1-2/10 in person, that’s bordering on eyesore territory, and those people are extremely rare. I’d treat them like any other person. I would consider myself slightly below average in the face for a woman, I understand how messed up it is that society hates on unattractive people, and refuse to be a part of that. If they are flirting I won’t fake my attraction to someone if I find them completely physically unattractive, but I’ve been really into no…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/23 05:42 PM

Tbh I agree. I think many people seem to expect someone who checks every box while simultaneously not doing the same. I think this is the case especially with looks. Below average looking people think that they’re somehow entitled to date really hot people and shit on average looking people who are in their league. It’ll just lead to disappointment if one keeps expecting perceived ‘perfection’.

Rich men rarely ever date/marry outside of their class. The whole Pretty Woman trope is just a myth and rarely ever happens irl. Sugar dating does exist but the men usually pay women minimum wage level earnings or don’t pay in money and buy gifts and holidays instead. Rich guys tend to go for educated women around the same age. Maybe the nouveau riche types might date poor attractive women, but never a billionaire CEO.

I think it depends because sadly insecurities can lead to a very bad situation in a relationship. I know I myself (F) have had ruined relationships because I was insecure. I was bullied for my looks and my visual disability in school. Once I turned 18 and changed up my style, guys were more eager to talk to me and I didn’t believe that they would want to, since the only male attention I had gotten up until that point were from legit predators. I think you need to keep working on yourself mentall…

Tbh I think men still have a lot of nice stuff to play with. Sure, it’s not as diverse as women’s fashion, but there are plenty of ways to look stylish without needing to be flamboyant also (if that isn’t your thing). Lots of menswear sites/forums have a wealth of advice. I’ve encountered way too many 20-something year old guys when dating who either dress like they dgaf or dress like dads (the uncool types).

I don’t mean to pry, but why do you find it hard to like women? Have you had many negative experiences with them? Also, you don’t need to answer of course, but did you lose your mother early on? I’m asking because I think a lack of a maternal figure can trigger these types of thoughts and feelings.

I’m not gonna show my face on the internet, I never have done so in my entire life. I don’t have a disfigurement, just really shitty bone structure, recessed jaws and chin, a massive forehead, puffy lips, far apart eyes, etc. And my standards really aren’t high. I’d never expect something from a man that I didn’t already have to offer myself. I’m educated, have a decent body and a good income for someone as young as me. I’m a very personality-focused person, so meeting someone who is ambitious a…

I saw someone on here link a study which showed that men get angry at the sight of an ugly woman. It’s as if we’re a nuisance to them.

I don’t want hot guys. Why do you assume that I do? I’d take a below average guy who I get along with well tbh. Also my DMs are just guys who want to sext and send dick pics, I don’t want that personally. It’s not because of looks, it’s just not what I’m after.

Thin, facially ugly women exist. It’s just that we don’t get out much for fear of being judged negatively. I really dislike the association that fat = ugly. Whenever I want to vent online I get all of these comments about things I can change, but I’ve done everything I could, never been overweight, but I’m still ugly no matter what makeup style I try and do.

As an ugly woman myself I’ve never had a male friend or any man interested in me romantically. Why would I value disappointing sex with some rando who didn’t make me cum over a relationship with a guy who values my personality and who I’m sexually compatible with? I think a lot of men in this thread think that as women we have it easier because it’s easier to get sex. It’s not all about that though. I’d rather have love. I don’t judge people who want to date/sleep around casually, but for me I’d…

Lol that isn’t true, at least in my case. I’m thin and take care of myself, but I have an unattractive face that makeup can’t save. I’ve gotten guys to bang me, but no one to commit, even if we vibe well and have good conversations, none of them want me because I’m ugly. Edit: to those downvoting, can you explain to me why you can’t seem to comprehend that a fit, ugly woman can’t exist or find a long-term partner?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
