You ARE training to fight. You can't "pretend" martial arts. You don't have to go to tournaments or kick someone's ass in the street, but you do have to actually learn how to do the skills, and there's only one way to do it. I pay $99 a month for the gym I go to, I take jiu jitsu, they offer kickboxing and full on mma also. Usually at the end of each class we roll (live "fight") for 2-3 rounds. You will hurt the next day, and day after that for a while while your body adapts to the new muscles y…

Same boat here man. Single dad of an almost four year old boy. It depends on what you're looking for...If you're trying for a LTR then yes, you may have issues trying to "hide" a kid. If you're just spinning plates, they won't care that you have a kid other than you have very little free time. The girl I'm fucking now comes over after my kid goes to sleep, we do our thing, and she goes home. I try to get out 2-3 times a month with friends or whatever to keep the social life going, but it is most…

My doctor was rather willing to help me. I'm 29, custody of my kid because she went and got addicted to heroin etc etc. I said, I'll never put another kid through the shit my son has had to. He said ok let's do it.

Excellent post, and something that has been discussed between my friend and I several times. I grew up in a feminine household (divorced parents, raised by mom and her sisters and my grandma) which was a serious hindrance to my masculine development. By my ex's addiction with her own pleasure, I gained full custody of my son (currently 3 years old). It is in his best interest that this happened, as I have been down the single mother-raised path, and know its pitfalls. My son will now be raised t…

Haha, she had everything she ever wanted when she was with me. Decided I wasn't good enough anymore, left, threw it all away. Now she's a criminal constantly hiding and diseased. Karma's a bitch. I only hate that it's my son's mother and she cared more about herself than him, he deserves better than that.

I actually only found out about the drugs from her mom. But I WAS starting to question how the amount of support I was giving her wasn't enough to cover her rent and bills (it more than enough was, just so we're clear...Not that it is supposed to be used for that but you know how that goes). Lots of puzzle pieces fell into place as more info came out. I'm just doing what I can to keep my kid safe, and on the right side of things. Lately, she's been trying to make it difficult, haha.

She was clean and quite honestly the "perfect wife" when we were together. I beta'd out and she left. Got with a heroin user and it's all downhill from there.

Truth, it is what it is. My son is where he belongs (with me, she's shown incapable to care for her own blood) and I shield him from all of it as he's too young to understand. I'll fight until I win because I refuse to let him suffer because of a flawed system.

Hello all, lurker for a while here's my first actual post on TRP. I can attest to all of this, and the do not get married sentiment also. I'm currently battling a custody war that to any reasonable person should NOT be going on. Back story...My ex left me November of 2015, our son was 2 years old. She moved out and closer to her mother. I let her take EVERYTHING she wanted, to continue as normal a home for our son as possible. I was basically left with four walls and my clothes (I slept on the c…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
