I went through an abstinence-only sex ed class in grade school and high school and I feel that it did a massive disservice to my classmates and I. I personally believe, like you, that it is better to have more education than less. We should be teaching the benefits of abstinence and how to have safe sex if you choose. Who says that we need to play one-upsmanship with who has it worse? There are serious issues which are affecting both genders and the remedy to those issues is not a zero-sum. I feel like this sub has become more about pulling women down than building everyone up. It is okay to say that women are treated unfairly at work and that men's mental health issues should receive wider support. What good does it do us to spending our time wining about extreme opinions we don't agree with?
