That shouldn’t be a thing. Child support is for the child, not the parent receiving. It ought to be used only for the child or saved for their college/future endeavors.

I agree with child support - but it has to be done very carefully. Many people use it to trap their partner financially, and spend the child support money on themselves and even their new partner. If a child is to receive support, it should be done such that frequent checks are carried out to ensure that not a cent goes to the parent who is managing it. To hell with alimony, when you divorce someone you shouldn’t be entitled to the luxuries you had when you were with them just to spend it with your new partner. In this day and age ANYONE can get a job, unless they’re disabled. That judge deserves to burn a long time in the darkest parts of the lowest pits of hell.
