That shouldn’t be a thing. Child support is for the child, not the parent receiving. It ought to be used only for the child or saved for their college/future endeavors.

I agree with child support - but it has to be done very carefully. Many people use it to trap their partner financially, and spend the child support money on themselves and even their new partner. If a child is to receive support, it should be done such that frequent checks are carried out to ensure that not a cent goes to the parent who is managing it.
