Trudy Campbell from Mad Men. She never put up with her husband disrespecting her by cheating and managed to lure him back by simply being an amazing woman.

I think you just described my life. I found this place desperate for my husband to stop being angry at me all of the time. It's mostly working but it's become clear he has a serious anxiety and anger issue. I'm scared to talk to him without him flying off the handle and I still haven't mustered up the courage to say 'ouch' when he hurts my feelings. It's getting better, like he rarely loses it now that I've surrendered and I'm able to diffuse the situation most of the time, but I'm exhausted.

When I've asked him to let me sleep later in the past, he says he's tired too and sort of begrudgingly does it. Then holds onto the tension of it until I'm up and tells me how I need to nap with the baby when he's at work. I say he holds onto the tension because he's unnecessarily blunt when he speaks to me. He's very protective of his time off and wants it spent with us at his side so any straying from that causes issues. I realize this makes him sound kinda harsh, and he can be, but I'm seeing…

A lot of comments have shown concern and it has made me question my situation a bit. Thank you for your response. I'm going to implement some of these ideas and stand up for myself. I plan to bring it up to him when the time is right and go from there. I doubt he's doing it purposefully because I'm on rpw in secret. I only recently came into this and he's still blue pill. I'm just going to keep focusing on bettering myself and see where this relationship goes. There is a point where it would be …

Your responses have been incredibly helpful. Thank you! Ya it's continuously directed at me. I'm pretty good at being that goddess of light when it's just a bad mood. I love your response ideas and I'm going to implement that next time this problem arises. I'm nervous about walking away, this normally escalates the situation, but I agree that it's best. I can't keep allowing him to get so angry unchecked or my baby will speak this way as well. I'll speak to him about working on controlling his a…

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate hearing from another wife who deals with anger outbursts. I will work on not letting my goddess of light persona crack under pressure. I know he's frustrated and needs to get it out so if I can just keep myself composed through the storm we'll be in a better place. I generally only make it like 10 minutes in before I break so this will be a big challenge for me but I'm up to the task. My husband has a lot of anxiety that comes out in anger too. It…

3 months is too new? I'll admit it's my alt. account but it's purely for anonymitys sake. Not a troll, I promise. Just a girl desperate for answers.

I appreciate your honesty. I'll admit, when he gets angry it borders on abusive. It's not often though and he acknowledges that he went overboard afterward. I make a lot of mistakes myself so my plan is to work on me and help him work on himself. I've thought about leaving but I gotta be real with myself about my prospects outside of marriage. I'm almost 30, I have a kid, I'll be a divorcee. I'm not willing to risk it. I think my best bet is to work on the marriage I chose.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
