When i joined here, i was automatically banned and blacklisted from another subreddit (the offmychest) because it is a "safe space". I still cannot understand what men having rights has to do with the disturbance of a "safe space" and i am not even a man 🤷🏼‍♀️

I never saw her as a victim tbh. The only victims were Voldemort, who because he was created due to a love potion can't feel love himself, and his father who was trapped into this thing. This scene in the book taught me that forced love never works well, and it is better to let go, rather than use weird shenanigans to win the guy over.

She says she compromised Mehr for the ring. I thought that as well, but i thought i was mistaken.She did indeed pick parts of tradition that suit her interests only. Such hypocrisy!

I actually called out a woman that was acting all offended when i called her feminazist over supporting this as "she has shown her love by moving there". I asked her what she would do if the tables were turned and if he left his job, his family and friends to go to live with his gf. He requires by tradition that he pays dowry, provides everything, on the one sole condition, and only that, that the woman will stay at home and care for house and kids all by herself. But is that even fair? Wasn't dowry supposed as a means to support wife in case something happens to husband, as she would not have her own income?
