Are you dating my ex? Identical story except he’s 46

Ugh. No. Any man that actually wanted to see you would move heaven and earth to make it happen now not wait 3 months. And maybe he should have visited you for safety?

Yes this is my life right now with one of my friends.... I found her boyfriend on tinder she claims it’s inactive, he messaged me (we have never met but I know who he is from name and pics)..... They’ve been together since late September. Men are dogs I ended up slow ghosting my friend as she just wants to gush about how great this guy is. How wonderful he is. Me-Yeah but he’s still on tinder. Her-Oh no he’s inactive, we are exclusive. Me /Um okay. That’s what our last conversations were like. N…

Dude if you don’t get it together she will bankrupt you and the best you will get is mayyyybe a 5 or 6 with your lawyer debt and alimony payments. Saying from a female perspective.....

Not true I am a woman and have followed this. I love my job and besides hating going back to work at 16 weeks with my child w a nanny I Love working, hate absolutely depending on a man. Would not mind having help paying for a beautiful house or vacation but I earn nearly 6 figures and would never give it up . I love shopping but after a few months of sitting around I would get bored. Not all women are trash..... some of us worked hard or harder than you did to get where we are. My goal would be …

Truth. And it sounds like she’s already planning her exit out of this relationship If she’s stopped talking and sleeping with him over doing a few chores on her own home she’s already fucking someone else....

Is this a red flag for narcissism or? I get this a lot too. You’re such a good listener. Tell me about you. ... awkward silence, where should I start? And the man starts monologuing again... has happened a lot lately

Yeah my ex has listed professional dog sitter as his job instead of his white collar profession. He’s terrified of a gold digger. Lol. Except he’s massively in debt and withdrew $60 k from his 401k last year to pay lawyers. Do you know how many taxes he paid on that? Ridiculous. He has no dependents and is a single dude and still can’t put away savings. But terrified to date a gold digger!

He actually ended it - overreacted to a joke and it spiraled into an argument where he questioned everything that I do and what matters to me and told me he was done forever. He’s single and drinking his head off (alcoholism) and trolling tinder for a date. It’s pathetic. He had been asking me to marry him days before he broke up. It’s messed my head up

4 months of no contact. Unfortunately he is still in my thoughts daily as I miss the good parts. But he never hit me but he would pound the walls next to me while shouting at me. Threw his phone remote . Threw plates and glasses hard into sink breaking them. Overturned furniture. Told me he would hit me if I were a man. Told me he wanted to break my valuable musical instrument strapped on my back when I was leaving his house in a fight . This was all in the final month.

Mine twisted his ironing board into an abstract sculpture- after I caught him swiping on tinder. He went into his bedroom. Brought the ironing board out to the living room and twisted it into pieces. Then left it there for days before throwing it away. Crazy.

If you are both coming in with children that you want to inherit your possessions and you both have premarital assets etc yes I would insist on it because I had to pay a lawyer $300 an hour to protect the appreciation value of some of my premarital assets because I had used marital funds (less than $100 over 20 years) to upkeep them. Never.again. He did not win btw.

How much is this is my fault for angering him? Not being facetious but serious I would get snarky or short when he would do something that would piss me off. Then I would tell him cold hard truths about his behavior and he would start screaming and throwing phone, remote , overthrowing furniture pounding walls even next to me. I would say don’t hit me and he would say ohh yeah look at you accusing me of hitting you you lying w. I wasn’t accusing but genuinely afraid he was going to hit me

Not sure how old you are but I’m divorced. I’m looking for someone divorced or widowed. With kids. As I have my own. I am not interested in a 45 year old unmarried man, that’s a hot mess waiting to happen ... people that wait that long usually have major major issues

Yes!! I am so sorry. There are way better men out there...
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/12/20 06:26 PM

Actually I don’t like that he never had kids and is 42. I will only date men that have been fathers at this point as I have my own kids and think there’s too much difference between us. He’s been a bachelor and I’ve been a mom for 20 years now.. But yes I agree with you. He should have mentioned it. Next time I will ask straight out, wasn’t worth an evening of time to find this out

My ex walked ahead and I asked him to walk with me and he screamed at me all the way home over it and we ended up breaking up that evening. He told me I should never ever tell him what to do. Asshat

Yup she’s blowing up my phone this morning as he made her a mix cd tape . She hasn’t gotten one since High school . So in her mind, he definitely likes her - it doesn’t matter that he’s broke /in debt/ living with his mom and 13 year old /no career /crap job /still active on OLD / refusing to be her boyfriend / and refusing to even take pictures together. Not responding... I don’t have headspace for this. Our last conversation I asked her if his tinder location showed home as he was home with hi…

I don’t know. I mean if he has savings, he owns his own home... why not? Not this guy in particular but any guy? Idk.

Done! Didn’t know he was unemployed until the past 24 hours. And I disagree he knew that the chair should be provided in the way he phrased it as a question. Deleted and blocked

Exactly. He is a friend of several friends. But he’s getting a nope from me

Yeah. I can tell he thought it out how to parse it nicely. I’d rather take a nap with Netflix than go out with someone like this. You ask a girl out you try to do your best to make her comfortable.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/20 02:45 PM
24

He should have said , if he only has one- do you have one too? If not I could bring a blanket. This is not a man who is thinking about the comfort of his date on a first date
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/20 02:33 PM
13

Yes. This is a first date. He was messaging a lot but as soon as we lined up a date he stopped checking in. Then I find out he’s between jobs. And doesn’t like to eat out due to covid. Agreed to a walking outdoor first date against my better judgement and now he wants to make me bring my own chair and it will be raining. Next step? He’s probably going to make me buy my own coffee, would rather get a pedi and take a nap than deal with him
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/20 02:27 PM

See I can’t be snarky due to mutual friends
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/20 02:17 PM

I just canceled for the rain. No thanks.... it sounds not fun to sit outside in the rain and he refuses to go inside the restaurant area because fear of covid
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/20 02:16 PM
14

Idk. He doesn’t want to go inside due to covid. So I will be a 7 minute walk from my car in the rain with a lawn chair with a guy who hasn’t even said hey how are you for the last two days
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/20 02:13 PM
9

Would you like to bring one too js not very chivalrous for a first date. It’s a busy outdoor area and not great to lug chairs arohnd
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/20 02:11 PM
25

Op this is the first date. I found out he’s between jobs and it’s an outdoor date . It’s supposed to rain. He hasn’t checked in to say hello for two days since we set up the date. And is chivalry dead? He should have offered to bring one and if he doesn’t have one should have said so and said if you don’t have one I’ll bring a blanket.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/20 02:09 PM

I’ve been on the fence about seeing him. He’s between jobs and hasn’t sent a message for two days since we set up the date.

He’s not super attractive conventionally so I would be surprised at that

I won’t contact him. And it’s not based on this conversation. Just this is where he is at today. Not pushing it
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/10/20 05:06 PM

He’s also from Europe. Different approach but men are men. He has some very specific interests that match mine and not on my dating profile/ known to anyone. He did not put them on his profile either. Not sexual. Very scholarly nerdy things. Yes I am a sapiosexual. Obviously not turned on by today’s conversation. But yesterday was quite brilliant.

He’s actually not very hot at all but not a dog. I don’t think he’s skilled at this.

Crap have I already blown it
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/10/20 04:41 PM

Yeah. I have two dates tomorrow. Not him. I would like to see him to see if there is a connection before texting more. Idk

It’s been about 48 hours. Yeah

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 03:47 AM

I suspected he was jealous when he saw my girl friends texting me, he would seem to throw fits. Or if I got good news at work he would try to supersede it. He made double what I did so idk.

Wow this resonates with me. Can someone spell it out: What is an insecure man?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 02:11 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
