I apologize if it comes across that way! I mean to express a desire to understand what this means so that I can better understand red pill as a whole because I really relate to most of what I’ve found here. I’m just expressing what my initial perception was and asking for perspective for context and how I can better understand in context of RPW. I am not trying to be disrespectful of others.

Fair enough, but the concept of “responsibility”, in my opinion is much larger than what you describe. From my limited reading here the RPW community is all about taking responsibility for yourself, and that to me is very mature and adult. A woman who is not the primary breadwinner can still bring a lot of value to a relationship and personal responsibility for herself and reducing her to a child is not really offensive, it’s just “false”.

This is heartbreaking! I'm so sorry this happened to you and your family and your baby.

I do more of the "traditional female chores" than he does. Since we live in an apartment and don't have a car there are fewer "traditional male chores" for him to do. We have no kids yet but do have a dog, which I take care. But he works 80+ hours a week while I work 40 hours a week and he makes twice as much money as I do, so I see the cleaning and cooking as my way of contributing to work in our relationship while he slaves away to help secure our little family's financial future. Plus cooking…

This makes sense! That it's supposed to be a tool not a truth?

This is a helpful perspective. I probably would be better served to leave him be and go about my own business... but isn't that kind of the same thing you do with your wife sometimes? By you staying the course yourself she's better able to fix it on her own eventually? How is this a male-female thing? Is it that women are supposedly less likely to approach it this way?

It's only disrespectful if women aren't inferior emotionally and intellectually. I appreciate your post and will definitely check out that article. Clarification -- I don't think you are arguing here that women are inferior emotionally and intellectually? I won't argue with the bell curve of IQ in terms of there being more male geniuses and imbeciles, but the averages are essentially the same (and there are still female geniuses and imbeciles too even if it's more rare!). Plus averages and distr…

That does help! I'd argue that's a good strategy for anyone who is acting overly emotional and irrational, but I definitely get that. On a related note, I've noticed that when I'm upset about something or in a bad mood, my husband is usually very good as consoling me or maintaining his mood and therefore helping me turn mine around. I've noticed for years this about myself: that when he is in a bad mood I have a bad habit of reflecting this and it brings my mood down too and I'm less effective a…

This is really what I needed right now. I’ve been at a crossroads with some career decisions and problems and kind of wringing my hands over it a lot. This helped me realize that things don’t just happen to you. You need to own your own stuff if you want to be successful (and happy). Going to make some decisions and charge forward and stop expecting my manager to step up for me.

No need to wait until marriage if that is not one of your values, but echoing to please wait until after the 3 months long distance relationship. I'm assuming from your post that you are both quite young and that you're probably relatively inexperienced with dating given your virginity and youth. No matter how great this guy is and your connection, things can and do fizzle out--easily. Especially with long distance. Long distance is hard for many established couples, let alone young people with …

Just wanted to add that I don't really think sorority life is shallow in it of itself and not all sororities have this type of culture. What I'm referring to in terms of seeing "shallowness" in my friends who were in sororities actually came out mostly during the recruitment process, as in when they were recruiting new women. They were openly extremely judgmental and harsh on other women, which I personally found a little distasteful and was something that didn't come up the rest of the time or …

Depends on the sorority and the school. Sororities at my college were non-residential (due to outdated laws against brothels limiting how many women can live together under one roof). This was great because women could join sororities without making it a huge part of their life or constraining their social options and friend circles as much. My group of friends were all in different sororities but had a group for fun social events and volunteer activities etc. Men I was friends with confided lat…

I'm not a mom, but I recommend looking into BBG (or something similar like BeachBody). They have great workouts plans you can do at home with minimal equipment. BBG might not be for everyone, but it seems like it has a great supportive community too. I did BBG for 16 weeks and then moved on to P90X and it's made a HUGE difference for my body. Both can get a little boring and repetitive, but you can do 8-12 weeks and then move on to something else. For BBG, don't do the app, try the PDFs if y…

Sorry, I realize this is against the rules--to ask questions on behalf of others. It's just something I think about a lot :( My friends are very unhappy. Okay if it needs to be taken down.
