Lmao do it. Good luck getting him to pay up when we cant even get full child support paid. Women will still be getting knocked up by men who dont have $50 to their name, let alone $5000.

Why would that even be an issue, it is a fact of life. Men and women are different. Thats arbitrary on both what is considered an overreaction and what is considered basic enough. Obviously your opinion isnt mainstream if this is common enough to be an issue. I think we can, the conclusion is very obvious, you just dont like the outcome.

It still answers it. The recognition is different because men and women are different. Men have had to grow up with different gender roles so overcoming that gets a different response. Just like girls get praised for going into STEM or something while boys go into it all the time. Women and men dont have the same bars.

That's the pot calling the kettle black. It is used to shame men, "oh you get away with so much, oh you get praised when you shouldn't". If it was directed towards women, we wouldn't have to hear about it or deal with it. You'd take care of it yourselves, which clearly isn't happening. Yep.

That's just for the views because that makes them money. If they didn't get views, it wouldn't happen.

It is definitely used to be condescending towards men. I agree that it should be directed towards women, which is what OP is also saying, since they're the ones setting the bar. I think you all find any reason to get onerous.

The husbands are getting recognition of DOING THINGS that wives already do. So women are like “hey why arent we getting the same recognition” not realizing that womens’ recognition situations are different; you just aren’t getting praise right now. That answers it from OP.

Well the basic human behavior one already has an example from the OP. But men are told they are lucky to have a great wife for basic partner shit all the time. I found one in 2 secs just by using those three words: https://twitter.com/firas_zahabi/status/1012127911934078976.

Dating a single father and dating a single mother isn't the same, so of course it won't be treated the same. This gender reversal and trying to make 1:1 comparisons between genders doesn't work, and is a vestige of failed feminist stupidity similar to blank slate shit. Having said that, in my experience they do get some pushback. But most people don't care to intervene because the consequences of intervening aren't as pleasant with women. Have you ever tried to get a woman to change her mind whe…

Someone else here pointed out that the gender pay gap is just a consequence of the height pay gap. Shorter men get paid less. Women tend to be shorter, so it makes sense they would also get paid less. But women's hatred of short men prevents them from seeing it. The gender pay gap is mostly a myth. Women jump the gun and insist that they get paid less for the same work, which is blatantly untrue. And that is just presupposing that women always provide the same work, which hasn't been my experien…

Youre just trying to blame it all on men, whereas if the woman did the same thing youd still blame it on the men. Maybe the woman isnt as great as you think, plenty of shitty women exist too. What youre claiming doesnt even make sense. If a guy goes to such lengths for sex, he would rather have it consistently rather than just once. If a guy just wants it once, it is because the girl is just that shitty thats shes not even worth putting up with to get more sex. For a guy to leave consistent sex …

Thats your opinion. If they suspect the girl will react badly or treat them badly, then I do think it is justified. Just like women say thats a justification of why they ghost. Well then it must have just been that bad, women ghost after just one time too.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/22 07:43 PM

It isn't an either/or situation. You can care about numbers and consistent sex. Having a large number of women providing consistent sex is actually the dream, not just hopping from ONS to ONS. Because that probably isn't what is happening, that is what women tell themselves to protect their own egos/feelings. They don't want to accept that maybe the guy went that far and once he got there he realized he didn't like her as much as he hoped to, so didn't want to take things further. Just like in a…

Women ghost way more. If a woman ghosts after sex, the default assumption would be that she didn't enjoy the sex. Should be the same for men. If the man enjoyed the one night stand, he would want repeats, because as you know, getting consistent sex isn't exactly as easy for men as it is for women.

How do you know they think it is ok? They didnt ask for it. Old women are the ones telling them it is ok.

But how do you know he just didnt enjoy the sex with you and therefore doesnt see a future there? If a woman stopped seeing a man after they had sex, isnt that the conclusion you would reach?

I don't think men do that, in all of the TikToks and memes and everything, I haven't seen the issue being men actually asking for praise. The women take issue with the praise itself. So that's a non-issue. The point OP was making with that is that is that even if men do go out of the ordinary, women will still say the bar is in hell. The point is that the bar is in hell phrase is used to "bring men down a peg" as it is used. Similar to how the vasectomy one was used. I get that you disagree with…

Right, so it isn't on them, correct? Right, you're using examples of others describing the reactions according to a feminine view that admits they themselves are guilty of doing it. But not the reactions themselves. The last one with the context of Jeff, that apparently women can do on a whim on the daily. Per your edited in examples, the men haven't actually done anything wrong here then. I mean they are cooking, right? The issue is the praiser, correct? And as the OP said, the people who are m…

But you said you don't think men are that bad about doing things, so it isn't on them correct? I'd love to see the actual overreactions though. So far you've been able to provide examples of other people describing the reactions, but not the reactions themselves. And even then, it ignored context as all the things Jeff did simply got downgraded to "little things women do on a whim" when that clearly isn't true. When I provided one of the so called overreactions, you agreed that it didn't apply. …

So that is you saying in a roundabout way that the people praising shouldn't be praising men (even if it is just a bit of puff up like women calling each other gorgeous), correct? Men haven't actually done anything wrong here, despite the trend basically demeaning men for how the bar for them is "so low"? If that is true, then you essential agree with what OP said. Women are the ones who put the bar there. The discussion makes sense, you're just uncomfortable with the outcome. Ok, and I didn't e…

That's just a cop out, is it really such an esoteric concept that you can't explain it, because infinitely more complex concepts can be explained and therefore refuted. It also isn't relevant at all to if that is just "how they feel", that they shouldn't put the work in to deal with that. There's plenty of things men "just feel" that we have to put in work to address.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/22 02:45 PM

Again, you're just picking bits and pieces and ignoring context. You're talking about Jeff being thoughtful while ignoring everything else Jeff does. You're trying to make it about that is what is getting Jeff praise, when it is much more than that. The point OP was making is that even if Jeff does all of that, women will STILL say the bar is too low. Or rather, they just want to bring men down a peg. So let me ask you, what is actually the solution? Is the onus on the people praising to stop pr…

So the issue is actually with older women, not the men themselves? Just to check, are the men themselves actually doing anything wrong? Like they are just living their lives, a third party comes along and praises them unprompted, and women are upset with who? Cuz to me, the trend seems to be being mad at men for getting praised.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/22 02:36 PM

But that completely disregards the context. Jeff works hard at his job, loves his kids,is extremely attractive, helps with housework and acts like casanova. He remembers the little things and is great at surprises. He even surprised Ellenor at work after a big meeting with the biggest bouqet and her favorite drink You're telling me that is what every woman does on the daily? Every woman is a hard worker? Every woman loves her kids and bad mothers don't exist? Every woman is extremely attractive? …

Can we see an example of this? Not of the "the bar is low reaction", but the praise itself?

You keep making the excuse of “yeah it makes sense but it isnt how humans (read: women) think” whenever someone points out a flaw in your argument. Well maybe the women should change how they think. Men are expected to all the time, theres many things that are gut emotions for men that we are told to put in check for the benefit of women, they should be able to do the same.

And why isnt it her responsibility to make her own needs known? Youre just making a bunch of assumptions here. Maybe she wants to work more at home. Maybe it is her domestic hours that are bloated. The problem is that youre assuming she will ever be satisfied. Theres no reason to believe that. Once you meet her where she says to meet her, she’ll move goal posts again. The feeling that she is being more giving, even if she isnt, IS the end goal. It is part of her identity, to be the one giving mo…

I think you just cant admit that you might be wrong. Since when is just saying someone is a good father, even if it IS about a little thing, making it a big deal. Just words are a big deal? Women make a big deal about how gorgeous they all are then when complimenting each other. How is it an overwhelming reaction with just a few words? Can we see an example of such an overwhelming reaction? Well, the OP just gave an example of that. And ive seen it myself. You probably have too, it just didnt re…

This discounts the work men put in outside of "household tasks", like bringing money in. Oh sure, you can say "but women work too". But studies, like the same studies I'm sure you would try to use to show how women do more household work, show men work more. Is the phrase particular to women who are breadwinners, or women who are SAHMs, or really particular to any women in general so we can see some sort of trend? I don't think so. I think it is like OP said, it is just women in general. So I do…

I do see the [minimal] difference, but there's nothing wrong with the latter - you just think there is. I would love to see an example of the latter genuinely happening - again, that is just something you made up. Most people just say "you're a good father". You're putting words in people's mouths to try and make your point. You literally can't even explain why complimenting someone assumes that they couldn't have done it.

It is an every girl problem, but it is especially prominent with desi girls IME. Also, his wife is desi which is why I brought it up in the first place. Those two things explain his situation.

I'm against assuming that men are incapable of being good parents or partners and praising them accordingly to this belief. But that is just something you made up. How is praising someone assuming that they are incapable of doing the thing they receive praise for? If I praise someone for cooking, that doesn't mean I think they are incapable of cooking, I mean I cook pretty much every day. The other day I told my gf "oh wow, this is really delicious" - that didn't imply I expected it to be awful.…

How is it a huge deal to simply say he's a good father? That's a big deal to you? People exaggerate to be nice all the time, like how women tell each other "you so gorgeous OMG". That's just normal communication. The way you tell it he's getting the key to the city or showing up on the morning news or something. This women is upset about a man getting a gift basket. But that was for an operation. So it sounds like the reactions are still appropriate. Are men getting gift baskets for taking their…

More often than not, it is just jealous bitching. Let's use this first video I got when searching the phrase in Google. This woman is upset that a guy got a gift basket for a vasectomy.. Are men stopping women from getting gift baskets? Are we really going to pretend women don't gifts for frivolous reasons as well? So what if a guy gets praised for some meaningless thing, women get that all the time too. For your specific doctor example, you don't know the context. For all you know the dad has a…

That's just demeaning the work good fathers put in. You don't even have a father according to your posts so how would you know? My father was very involved and was the one feeding me when I was a kid while my mother worked the morning shift and my father worked the night shift. Hell yeah I'm gonna praise my father for being a good dad just like I praise my mother for being a good mom, even though they just performed basic human activities. Praising both my parents doesn't take away from either o…

This guy is right. OP basically had a mail order bride situation where he was supporting her financially for years. Desi girls are particularly notorious for the constant comparisons to what other people have and getting bitchy when they don't get it, whether they make any contributions to getting it or not.

Women get praised for being an active parent or caring partner or basic human behavior all the time too. How often has "being a mom is the hardest job in the world" uttered in comparison to "being a father is the hardest job in the world"? Women are so bitter about men getting the same recognition they get and try to weaponize it.

I don't really care if she's replacing me, I was the one who broke up with both of them. She can replace me with those dudes all she wants, I got there first and now I am done with them. I've got someone better than both (one marginally, and the other by leaps and bounds), so in that regard I replaced them too, and I didn't do it with someone who looks like my ex. To me that is just stagnating.

I said half a dozen in reference to getting fooled like the woman above talked about. That's a lot of times getting fooled. Many young women are high n count these days, they're hitting double digits before their 20th bday.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/22 02:23 AM

I don't want to give specific examples, because I don't want to get doxxed and I'm also not interested in people using my vulnerable moments against me as some women (especially here) are apt to do. But there have been numerous instances of "good looking", and often even not that good looking, men and women using their power and leverage to harm me. Well, idk, a lot of people still get married in their 20s and 30 seems late. In my core group of friends (that has lasted a decade and a half), I'm …

I guess this could somewhat relate to me. I was formerly romantically and sexually unsuccessful. I've since had sex a bit, and LTRs, but may still be considered romantically "unsuccessful" because I'm still unmarried in my late 20s. My parents are in the top 2-3%, and I was in the top 12% or so by my mid 20s, with the potential to reach top 2-3% myself if I don't screw up med school. If I suspect a good looking guy is an asshole, yes - I will be harsher towards him and use whatever leverage I ha…

The mistake a lot of women (and even some guys) make here is thinking that evolution has an end goal. Or that women's selection is leading us towards a race of supermen. That's not how evolution works. If short, fat, or bald men were somehow best adapted then that is what is "fittest" - it doesn't literally mean the fittest in terms of athleticism. For all we know, how women select will lead us towards a race of blithering idiots - and to be honest, that wouldn't surprise me at all.

LMAO, I might be willing to give a woman a break if that actually happened (although it is usually BS and just a way to put the blame on men) like once or twice. But high n count typically refers to near or at double digits. I mean even at half a dozen times I'm like, damn how often can you get fooled before you learn your lesson?
