Go check out the askfeminists page on this. believe me, I read plenty of other subreddits and extremist views in feminist cirlces are not the norm. They are vocal because many of them, much like the people here, feel they have no other way to vent their weltschmerz. I can teach others how I am measuring these things and they can "see" them for themselves. Excellent! Who is claiming this? plenty of masculine traits are great. There are totally times when being stoic is a positive thing. Being the rock someone can rely on, a strength for someone to draw upon. Being decisive, being rational in the face of emotional distress, they all have their place and their virtues. Feminists agree with this. Not only that, it put the onus on men to police other men. For the small percentage of men perpetuating toxic behaviour, they aren't especially likely to listen to women telling them off. They may not listen to anyone, but they are more likely to listen to their fellow men who are judging them for their behaviour. You aren't obligated to do shit, but what Gillette is trying to promote is the idea that its a masculine thing to do.
