I'm an Autistic woman and if I were to date, I'd also prefer a neurodivergent man. I'm saying that being sexualized and being romantically attracted is not the same and that was never my argument to begin with. You're either truly not understanding what I mean or purposely misinterpreting my words. And it's not because some think our traits are cute and quirky that autistic women have it better. The world isn't all about whether or not you can fuck people. And a reminder that those traits are on…

Autistic women don't want to be seen as cute and quirky, they're actively treated as children while being sexualized for being "innocent". Autistic women are seen as a fetish while men are seen as creepy. The problem is ableism.

Women's autistic traits are sexualized and infantilized (at the same time) it's not accepted, just fetishized.

I stumbled across this subreddit by accident. Traits that are easily identifiable as autism in men are seen as character flaws in women. Autistic men are more likely to be diagnosed and have way more research and social understanding on how it works. The problem isn't that autistic men are coddled is that women face higher levels of accountability for the same symptoms, which is why we mask way more as even neurotypical women are taught from a very young age to comform and be quiet. Most autisti…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
