Please do not sign anything & do not agree to leave your house voluntarily. Research and understand what a Silver Bullet divorce is b/c if you don’t comply, her lawyer will most likely advise her to take this route…. And it sucks brother. Please talk to an attorney and protect yourself now before it all goes down. Most attorneys offer an initial consultation at no cost; hopefully, you can get some sound legal advice from a family attorney that knows the ins and outs of your state’s guidelines. I…

Sounds very familiar and I’m sorry that you’re going through this hard time mate. I was seeing a therapist before the filing so I was able to use that avenue to process some really hard truths about myself and my marriage. Perhaps you can find one if you dont have one already. I also journal A LOT. Putting your thoughts down in black and white helped me. Get active. Walk, go to the gym just move your body and it will help clear your mind. I leaned on family. And unfortunately, it just takes time…

Sorry you are going through this difficult time my friend. I’ve (am) been there. Over the past 11 months, the guilt and shame still comes and I’m not gonna lie, it can be really difficult to navigate without support. Having a therapist , walking/ working out and a having a core of solid friends helps. Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional.

I was starting to cry just reading your post. You encapsulated it all. I’m sorry you’re going through it, it sounds hard. I just get hit with a random feeling of missing her and wondering how she is doing and it cripples me sometimes. She initiated the proceedings but there were problems and issues before she filed. My behaviors didn’t help the cause either. We just didn’t line up well. Our communication styles were not aligned, our goals were not the same, yet we tried really really hard to mak…

I’d also add doing the thing(s) that you have always wanted to do but didn’t get around to them during your marriage. I’m looking into fly fishing, don’t know how to fish but I’m going for it. I guess the point is for us to change and be the men we really want to be as a result of this process. Be gentle on yourself, the past is the past.. your future awaits.

Yup sounds like she and her lawyer are using the playbook. My wife filed a false, perjured PFA… Had the po po remove me from the residence , changed the locks and that was all she wrote. Like others have said, document everything, change your passwords / bank accounts, protect yourself and whatever you do… DO NOT agree to or sign anything. She, her friends and her lawyer will be looking for ANYTHING to use against you. My wife put me on full blast on FB when she found out about my indiscretions …

Thank you. Just recently separated and going through the process of grieving. It’s encouraging to hear that it does and will get better.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
