Yes exactly. Men and women often experience rejection in different ways. For instance the common trope is man pursues woman, they date awhile, hook up, and then the guy communicates that he really only wants something casual. This is also rejection, maybe men experience it a lot more early in the dating process with many women that they hardly know, whereas women may experience less frequently but after they are way more invested in a person.

Or maybe your definition of respect is different than hers. She thinks it’s more polite not to overtly telling you she doesn’t like you like that. Whereas apparently you think politeness is asking her over and over again to do something, explaining to her 10 different reasons why she actually should want to do something when she’s already told you she doesn’t.

Dude she wasn’t interested, you pushed it, started acting all cringey, and made her uncomfortable even though you knew this. Bc you think you’re entitled to a direct response or something? Yes some people are less direct. If the way she responds to questions bothers you so much why do you even want to date this girl so badly you’re writing a story book about her on Reddit? You’ll have much more success with women if you just accept these soft no’s, stop being so butthurt about it, and move on wi…

It’s not generalizing men. I have brothers, I have good guys in my life. I know most guys wouldn’t do this. I know it’s not all men. But for once it’s not about men. It’s about women. All women have to deal with this type of man.

Men constantly: dating is so easy for women, life on easy mode, etc, etc Women in response: well actually things are easier for men in a number of ways, for example… Men: waaah why do women always think it’s so easy for men :((((

LOL this is specifically why I didn’t include this, bc I know guys think like this. Yes small probability of happening but MASSIVE consequences, up to rape/torture/death, if it does. So it’s always in the back of our mind. Plus downgrade (lol) the crime to sexual assault and leave out the kidnapping and almost every woman who has dated or hell even gone to a club has a story of a time they were violated.

My point wasn’t that it’s a cake walk for an unattractive man. It was that he has countless areas to expand upon (not just appearance wise) and much more time to do it.

It’s literally not easier for women and that’s why I refuse to accept this narrative. For men there are things that literally any guy can do to really stand out and have everything he wants in terms of dating. Get in shape. Get a decent job. Get centered and stop being a pushover for women. Maybe think outside the box and do something that will get you some status, like become a group fitness trainer, grow a YouTube channel, become a musician, become well travelled. There are SO many niches that…

Part of the reason women dismissively say "You're not entitled to sex" is because men mock women and minimize them looking for someone they're attracted to as chasing tingles.

When I hear this, I mostly think about all the BS women have to put up with in online dating. Initial messages being immediately sexual. Having to put up with aggressive sexual expectations very early on, sometimes before even meeting. Compare that to decades ago, when the norm was dinner and gifts and courting. Even for girls who don't put up with this, you are bound to encounter it constantly before cutting these men off. In terms of what women are looking for to actually date a guy - standard…

But women will be friends with guys they aren't attracted to? It's usually the guys complaining that these women are "using" their friendship and not giving sex. But regardless it doesn't matter because the point of the scenario isn't to give anything realistic from a guys perspective, but to try to show why women are doing what we do. Oftentimes we have this choice... be treated poorly by the guy you are actually attracted to, be treated great by the guy you are meh about, or opt out. If a woma…

I mean I completely get why unattractive men are frustrated. If you treat women really well and do everything you can, and she still chooses some asshole time and time again...yeah super frustrating. But a lot of guys just can't make the jump to feel the reason she's making this decision. They minimize women prioritizing attraction to "tingles". Guys don't care about women feeling attraction, and expect us to give it up (that's where the entitled attitude comes in). Women are kind of repulsed by…

You made a lifelong commitment to your wife. I get it that circumstances do change. Obviously if you've completely lost attraction in a marriage, that's a major problem, and long-term the only solution may be divorce. But that should be a last resort as you have made that life-long commitment. At least stick it out through the pregnancy (that you helped instigate) and recovery to see if the attraction can be built up again. And if you do separate, you are still 50% responsible for the child and …

LOL it's because I don't think the men complaining actually care about mens' collective overall struggles with dating. They only care about their own. If women collectively lose weight, it increases the number of attractive women available for that one particular guy. If men collectively lose weight on the other hand, that actually increases this guys' competition. The best case scenario for these guys is all women get in shape, men stay fat or get fatter, and that one guy can get in shape and h…

I personally don't like when we just have a couple messages back and forth then they ask me on a date. It feels like I'm part of an assembly line or something. Usually I turn down the offer, and if I don't, I won't be able to get excited for a date, or I'll want to cancel. I typically don't feel much chemistry from OLD but the 2 guys I actually have felt something, we had a couple pretty lengthy and personal conversations before meeting.

So you're telling me what I should and shouldn't care about? It's not about other people moralizing 'my' decisions. It's about misogyny. Personally, I do care about misogyny, which I feel is rampant on this sub, as evidenced in this thread by the different ruler for men and women and hypergamy.

I mean who cares if a "foster gf" feels resentful that her guy left her for another woman? It doesn't really matter, but we discuss it bc were on a subreddit about gender dynamics, that's what we do here.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/20 08:45 PM

The issue isn't how broad or narrow the definition of 'hypergamy' is. The issue is that when a guy finds someone new, he is 'finding someone more compatible', it's the woman's fault for thinking that because she helped him through x or y she deserves him forever. But when a woman does the exact same thing, she's a hypergamous b* who only cares about looks and status. (not saying you specifically just the general idea of this sub)

I knew tons of girls like this in my early 20s. I really believe for a lot of women, they don't start to experience true sexual desire until mid twenties. They'll have crushes when they're younger, but they are fantasizing about the romance, not the sexual part. They will see a hot guy, but more appreciate his attractiveness and not quite connect it to sex. I feel like women who start having sex when they're younger, it's mostly due to pressure from boyfriends, or they like the validation, or so…

"why SHOULDN'T I let the hottest guy i can find use my pussy as a one night masturbation device, they are hot!" But now you're changing what your post was about. You originally quoted women who say if they're going to have casual sex, it's only gonna be with the hottest guy. Now you're changing it to say women who have sex with Chad hoping for more. That is a different scenario, and if a woman repeatedly finds herself dating guys who won't commit and she doesn't like this... yeah probably she ne…

This is usually a rebuttal for undesirable guys who complain that women don't want them for casual sex only. They don't want to do the LTR thing, because they believe the woman they date doesn't truly desire them, they are just using them. But the fact is women typically aren't all that into casual sex, for it to be worth it the guy needs to be extremely attractive. An average guy just isn't gonna cut it for a ONS. This doesn't mean these women want or have a bunch of casual sex with Chad. All i…

People who USE social media are not necessarily the stereotype described by OP. Just because most people have an IG account, many are primarily lurkers, or maybe they post the occasional picture with their friends or their dog. That's not the same as some aspiring instagram model.

yeah agreed this is what I've tried to convey to the lookists. It's not the look it's the aura. I've been attracted to dudes that are objectively unattractive, but there's just something about them. Although not sure it really matters, because this aura is just as rare, if not rarer, than legitimately good looking guys. It's definitely something to do with confidence. But not the in your face, obvious 'confidence'. It's almost like there's a top tier of confidence, these people are so confident …

I definitely do not want or expect a guy to pay for everything for me. Actually my ex bf insisted on paying for everything, and after a few dates I almost always pushed him to let me pay (seeing as I made over 3x more than him). Only after a few months of dating would he finally let me. BUT the first couple dates and especially the first date is different. There is a tradition for the guy to pay. Almost all of them will. Except for many/most women, having to be assertive is a total turn off. They have to be dominated to be turned on at all. Even if they can teach a guy to please them, that will take time and many hookups, which is never guaranteed. Also, women get societal judgement, chance of pregnancy, higher chance of STDs from having sex. To prevent pregnancy, many will be on hormone-altering birth control. Meanwhile, men having sex is nearly a guaranteed orgasm, and instead of societal stigma they get valid…

yeah honestly what you say is more in line with my personal experience, I'm kind of just repeating what I've seen here. I'm sure when many guys say they find 70%, they mean 70% of young, thin women who they even consider for dating in the first place.

It's harder in different ways. A beautiful woman has it easy because she's born beautiful, didn't really have to do anything, and she's automatically desirable. For an ugly woman, it is literally impossible to become desirable. Men cannot be attracted without looks. Men however, if you are born very attractive, it's pretty easy, but if you have a dud personality you can ruin it (whereas it's easier for beautiful women with bad personalities). If you are born ugly, you can make up for it with oth…

Idk I just don't see this at all. Just as a random sample, I looked at a group of my friends in college. They are all cute, skinny, normal college age girls. You can't see the # of likes anymore, but they all had between 500 and 1300 followers. I imagine the vast majority are friends they know in person. This is how all my closer friends are too, although we typically have even less followers b/c we're a bit older and instagram never took off in that way for people my age. Yes if you seek it out…

I think the 'problem' with social media is mostly overblown. I've seen people in this thread complain about average women getting thousands and thousands of likes. But I literally have no idea where people are seeing this. I see extremely attractive women who are attempting to make a brand get this level of attention. But that is the minority. I very much disagree that there is no girl game although not quite sure I can fully put my finger on it. I do have several areas I have noticed a legitimate difference. I think there is definitely a confidence factor. I know this sounds shallow, but I have been part of groups where I just felt like I was more attractive/popular than the group. Basically the effect this has on me is that I am 100% comfortable and confident, and multiple guys will end up with crushes on me. However, in groups wher…

Hmm actually your explanation makes it a lot more clear. I will have to think about that I'm still not quite sure where I fall... See yeah that's the thing, I have taken tests in the past but you always had to answer in relation to one partner. If I changed who I was thinking of from relationship to a different relationship or a friendship or a family member, it changes completely for me. Do you think introversion is related? I can see how it could correlate to an avoidant style. But to me needing some alone time to reenergize is different than withdrawing because you are scared to get too close to someone.

What I never fully got about attachment theory is - won’t it change depending on the relationship? I feel like some relationships in very secure, some I’m more naturally avoidant, and some I may have anxious instincts but I act more avoidant because I don’t want to come off as too anxious if that makes sense. Regardless I do think RP (and FDS to some extent) teaches ppl to be avoidant in dating. Which if you use not caring that much as an attraction technique then you will attract people who are…

If you want to hold her purse, enjoy helping her out, enjoy acting gentlemanly... hold the purse. If you don't feel like it, don't. It's unmanly/insecure if you're more concerned about what everyone will think of you for doing something, as opposed to just doing what you want to do.

Yes decisions have consequences. First of all I think the extreme where the woman has no attraction for the man is extremely obvious. If he has way more money than she does, and she’s way hotter than him, it’s obvious both sides are using each other. And that guy decided the hot wife was worth the consequences. Who am I to prohibit these two from dating/marrying if that’s what they want?

They have the CHOICE. Just because an angry internet mob of betas believes it’s a bad deal, that doesn’t mean they get to choose for everyone. There are a lot of less attractive men out there who prefer marriage & kids over sexless solitude.

I think there are a couple things going on here. I think women who do this like the attention but not the objectification. It's nice when people notice you, buy you things, do favors for you. It's not nice when people make crude gestures at you, touch you inappropriately, stare at you, make you uncomfortable. It's nice to get the likes and the follows. It's not nice to get the harassment and crude DMs. Women who dress provocatively essentially feel that the benefits of increased attention are wo…

I guess my point is people will find something to complain about. With enforced societal monogamy, men were probably complaining about not getting to explore more sexually. They got what they wanted with the sexual revolution, but now the men who 'lost' complain they can't get casual sex and the men who 'won' and who are getting all the casual sex they want probably find something else to complain about (maybe not finding a deeper connection, not knowing if women are genuine or just like them bc…

Ehh maybe pornography fuels it a bit, but I think this is just human nature to be dissatisfied. Actually Mark Manson just released a relevant video. I meant to say there's no (theoretical) demographic OF attractive men who want to settle down. So even if you are the most attractive woman, your best bet at a faithful guy is someone around the 80th percentile, as any guy more attractive will probably cheat or not commit in the first place. If we rank guys and girls out of 10, 9-10/10 guys are non committal, so the 10/10 women would take the 8/10 guys. And that trickles down, so 6/10 women could only get 4/10 guys for commitment. As such, women…

Why do we see complaint after complaint from men about not wanting to be settled for, but very few complaints from women about the inevitability of having to settle? I mean if 80/20 is true, 20% of men fuck around with everyone, and the rest of men are unattractive. There's no demographic for the attractive men who want to settle down, meaning women theoretically cannot achieve their reproductive goal (commitment from an attractive man). Is it just demographics around here? Or women are just mor…

I guess in some ways I agree. It's a bit out of touch to say a homeless person should be grateful they can go to the food bank so they don't starve. But it's still kind of true. But the simple fact is some people just lose the genetic lottery and there's not a whole lot we can do about it. Their options kind of suck. If you're an ugly woman, you can get P&D'd by some guy out of your leage, settle down with someone you're not all that into, or stay alone. If you're an ugly guy with a lame persona…

No one is forcing anyone into commitment. What OP is saying is if you’re low SMV, you can’t get sex just off your looks and charm. You have the choice to do romantic stuff to get sex or to opt out and remain sexless. Having that choice is better than not having that choice.

Bare minimum I'm attracted to him. There's no specific formula, it's there or it's not. The whole point of the rest of my comment was that escorts do not provide the same value that casual sex from Tinder does. If escorts were as expensive as casual sex from Tinder is, provided the same validation that casual sex from Tinder does, and carried as little stigma as casual sex from Tinder does, every single man would use escorts. But we're not arguing the value of tinder sex to men vs. escort sex to men. We're arguing tinder sex to WOMEN vs. escort sex to men. I am saying both provide …

I don't think it's exactly the same, but it's much more similar than you realize. A guy wanting to have sex with you is nearly worthless. Many guys don't even need to be attracted to you to have sex with you. A guy wanting to have sex with you literally says nothing about you. All it means is the guy wants to have sex. It is not validating. I think a women finding a man attractive is similar, validation wise, to an attractive man finding a woman attractive enough to commit to her. Also it's BS t…

I feel like a lot of people here don't suggest 'just use an escort' as an actual replacement for organic relationships. It's more to expose the ridiculousness guys who think women have it so easy because they can order up some sex on demand within 10 minutes from tinder. Your examples for women in this post are the progressive ideal of what is supposed to be expected of women, but for men you're using very stereotypical conservative gender roles. It's not that women don't empathize with men. It's that they don't empathize with men that don't empathize back. If she can only find men who are interested in sex, she's shooting out of her league. Or maybe they just don't care, because they can't get sex and their struggle is 'harder' in their mind. Inherent toughness may have been sexy back in the day where guys fighting actually meant something... i.e. a guy fighting to win the family food, fighting invaders etc. However, women are not attracted to 'tough' guys who can win bar fights because, even though there may be a slight biologically-programmed turn on due to thousands of years of evolution, knowing that the guy was stupid drunk and beat up a dude over a spilt drink and risked an assault charge FAR overrides that. I honestly think it has absolutely nothing to do with how attractive she is. Almost every single woman I've talked about this with, as long as a guy meets a minimum look threshold, she cares much more about his charisma, sarcasm, intelligence, conversational skills, can he turn her on... etc. The guy def isn't the most handsome man on the planet, but I think he would meet the looks threshold for most women.

This is such a lame way to look at people. People are interesting if you have compatible interests. Just because you don't have compatible interests with most women doesn't mean they're boring. Also 'interesting' is a weird way to describe whether or not someone is enjoyable to be around. What is interesting? You've traveled a lot? You've done a lot of cool things? You know a lot about a particular topic? Even if a person is 'interesting' ...it's not necessarily gonna be all that enjoyable to li…

In this case I’m talking about iq, test scores, good grades, good at making connections intelligence. Agreed there are other ways to be intelligent. But if the woman is very musically intelligent, or very athletic. Yes she’d probably prefer a guy who is better in those areas bc it’s attractive. But at the same time if he’s attractive in other areas she can ignore that he’s not super musical because it doesn’t have to be part of a day to day relationship. However... conversing with someone who is…

IME it's not career girls but very intelligent women who have the most trouble. Despite the outcry on PPD as to how repulsive career girls are, most of the more assertive, masculine 'career girls' I know are in committed relationships. I think there's a niche of guys who are into that. But I have a lot of really beautiful intelligent friends who are inexplicably always single. I think women have a lot of trouble feeling attraction toward a guy who's not as smart as them, so the smarter you are, …

I was thinking about this after writing another comment. To tell if sex will be good you can go off intimacy besides sex (good chance if the making out is good and they feel you up in the right places sex will be good), whether an initial spark/tension is there (another good indicator sex will be good), talking about preferences, feeling him up when he gets a boner. They also may feel they can work out incompatibilities (personally I think you can only do this to an extent). But yes the final op…

I will give you that OVERALL people tended to be more satisfied with partners back in the day when it was seen as a financial/social strategy to merge 2 families and a strategic solution to make babies. Today there is this expectation that your partner is your best friend, they're attractive, they're perfect, you rely on each other for everything. So many relationships don't live up to these sky high expectations that society has for relationships, so more people are not satisfied with their rel…

Yes I get it, no need to be condescending. Perhaps there's some subconscious 'there's so many options' so I'm not attracted to anyone. But if that's the case, how have I ever dated and been attracted to any guys in the past? Actually during periods of my life when I'm social and meeting more people (aka MORE options)... I'm more likely to have a crush on someone. Maybe you and me just have different attraction patterns. You're saying if you stuff me in a room for all eternity with 5 unattractive…

The combination of the 3 is rare. Long term potential (aka wanting the same things) + enjoyable (should have said this instead of fun) to be around + attractive. Trust me, any time I've found even a semblance of that combo in the past, I've gone with it with 0 regrets. If it were paradox of choice, I would have been thinking about all my other options the whole time. Also I don't know what you mean 'everyone has long term potential', face value that seems a bit ludicrous, but maybe you mean some…

But the difference is women needed to get married in the past for survival. Most didn't get married due to strong attraction. Sex requires comfort + attraction. Without it the idea of sex is gross and unappealing. For a lot of women, comfort and (depending on the situation) attraction will grow from the initial meeting, making sex more appealing after some time. Also, just because a woman wants sex doesn't mean she HAS to have it RIGHT NOW. You can practice some self control. Although I would agree that for these women, whether the actual act of sex is very enjoyable or not probably isn't a huge factor as to whether or…

Okay I will give you ugly old obese is probably a bit of an exaggeration. But point is the options that these women have are unappealing by definition. If they were appealing they'd be having sex with them. Picture sex with a girl you are not attracted to. You can't stay hard. You feel uncomfortable and kind of gross. You kind of wish she would leave so you can watch Netflix. Whatever that girl looks like... that's the equivalent. Those are the options that women have in droves.

I don't think you can try to logic the N Count thing. Fact is a lot of guys just find it unappealing. What it comes down to is will people actually reject an otherwise good match due to N count? I think it's definitely not as pronounced as guys on this sub make it out to be, but guys are more prone to 'walk the walk' in this area. And yes a lot of women find it unappealing in partners too. But IME hypergamy in the context of sexless women is interpreted as the women having a lot of pretty good options, but they turn them all down because they're holding out for the 6ft guy with a 6 pack and a billion dollars. That's why it feels like guys don't get it. Because the standards are not sky high. They're actually pretty low IMO, basically the guy has to be sexually appealing and that's it, but it's rare to find a guy who is.

No a fast metabolism is a myth. You gain weight by eating at a caloric surplus. People think others have a fast metabolism if they're thin and always eating big unhealthy meals. But maybe that's the only meal all day that person ate, maybe they work out a lot, maybe they simply walk to work or fidget a lot. I could lose weight eating only mcdonalds too, as long as I was in a caloric deficit.

Most of these women will come to resent their beta husbands and boyfriends, while these guys become depressed at the meaninglessness of the whole thing and resentful due to the nature of the women who fall for their tac…

This is incredibly biased. I could just as easily say FDS is a guide to male sexuality and how to get what you want out of it, whatever that is (love, commitment from a hvm, simply avoiding getting pumped and dumped). It’s a toolbox. TRP is a guide on how to rope in as many women as possible and how to manipulate them into having sex with you, with as little commitment and emotional attachment as possible. I get the sentiment (guys can be horny af and if dating never came easily for them, I can …

I guess I'm just looking for some sexual tension. Unfortunately, no matter how well I get along with a date, if I can't see him sexually the thought of sex is just a bit repulsive :/ I also can't tell this just from pictures, although appearance is definitely a factor. The way a guy talks and what he talks about. Whether he's comfortable breaking the touch barrier. All of this plays into it, but overall it's just a feeling. I've been on quite a few dates from OLD over the years, and I only felt …

For me it's annoying because you can't really tell if you will have a connection with someone based off a few pictures, a short description, and some texting back and forth. It's exhausting to set up date after date with guys who look decent from the app, but we meet in person and there's 0 chemistry. I do think online dating for most women is better than for guys who just can't get matches. I agree that sucks. But it's frustrating when some guys on here think it's as easy as picking up tinder t…

I feel like most guys just like sex. This doesn't mean they find most women sexually attractive. If they sleep with a woman, but won't look at her face, make her do certain positions or keep the lights off to hide her body, won't want to talk to her or see her again - that doesn't mean he's attracted to her. That means he's horny enough to settle. It's so obvious when you look at social settings like school, the work place. The really beautiful girls get special attention, people talk to them mo…

Well now you're getting into who pays for the parental leave, which is more an economic issue than a gender issue. But the overall point is rigidly-defined gender roles suck for people who don't fit the mold. Of course if both parents are working, a new issue of 'who's gonna take care of the kids' arises. However, women flooding the workplace was never an issue IMO because some women don't want to stay home with the kids and be reliant upon their husband provider their whole lives. In the same v…

Haha sometimes I agree. This sub kind of makes me cynical. But also less naive. Also A LOT of people don't really fit into these stereotypical men are this women are that boxes. When I get to know these people it confuses me because we spend so much time on here generalizing. The idea of HE for SHE isn't supposed to be that men should put women on a pedestal. The idea is that gender equality is beneficial for both genders. One example is paternity leave. This is a feminist issue, because if there is no paternity leave, oftentimes mothers will assume a role of being the primary caretaker early in an infants life because she is not working. Eventually, she will probably go back to work, but continue to take on the brunt of the childcare, because her and her husband are…

I really feel this. My first boyfriend was horrible, probably a narcisist. But I never dated anyone before so I just assumed that was par for the course, he was what I deserved. He was offering so much just to be my boyfriend, anything extra I wanted was demanding and clingy. Then the second guy I dated would do normal things like... idk text me after we spent the night together, take me on dates, text me back, cuddle with me. He would laugh when I was surprised that he did these things for me. …

I don't get why is this always a Q4 Women? I see it here all the time... don't ask the fish how to swim ask the fisherman. Mothers aren't gonna teach their teenage sons how to pick up chicks. Not saying they're entirely superficial pursuits, or that they only attract superficial women. Yes, health is important for things other than getting girls. You should probably work on your career whether or not you're trying to bang more chicks. Men on TRP are, first of all, looking for a script to follow, and second of all, want to attract more women in general (so they must generalize). The script they've found tends to self select for women who care about more superficial qualities. Get jacked > attract more women (who care about appearance). Work on your career > attract more women (who care about their partner making more $$). Abundance mentality > attract more women (who are attracted to what they can't have). They care about resu…

Guys need to be compatible personality-wise and sexually. But women get judged for a high N count, while no one cares if we went on a few dates with a lot of guys and then decided personality wasn't compatible. So it's in our best interest to check for personality first. Second, a lot of men will sleep with a woman they don't like that much just because he's horny. If you're asking why I don't have sex with women instead... women just don't turn me on. I am attracted to a man's form and masculine energy. If you're asking why I have sex at all, even though it's often not good - that's because good sex feels really good. And hopefully comes with other forms of closeness and intimacy that I crave. The search sucks but the reward is enough that I keep searching.

For me, to even want to have sex with a guy in the first place, I need to like him as a person. After this point, if I sleep with him and it's enjoyable, I've found myself someone who I like to be around and who I like sleeping with. Naturally I will want to be around him more and want to sleep with him more. I am also typically only into one person at a time. I feel like by 'high value' you almost have to mean 'comparative high value'. Like for instance a 6 dating a 6, 9 dating a 9. Under this assumption, I have to agree with boomcheese. If you are dating a dude with comparative value, good LTR qualities, basically he's high value to that girl. And if he actually really likes the girl for her, then I could see guys waiting. But no dude who's like a 10/10 is going to wait 3 months for a girl who isn't equally as desirable.

I think if you dig deeper and ask people - should he date her even though he doesn't have feelings for her - most sane people will agree he shouldn't and actually he's doing the right thing. It's just in the scenario, surface level she is looking for love vs. the guy just looking for sex. I think the fact that dudes would take crappy sex over no sex shows just how the baseline of 'having sex' is more enjoyable for guys. According to this - you ask a (lonely) guy if he wants to have crappy sex, he says hell yeah, any sex will do. But ask a lonely girl if she wants sex (not even crappy sex bc of course that's a no) and most of the time she says no. Why? But if we go by what TRP says, men naturally need to 'spread their seed' so they have lower standards, whereas women need to ensure that they are impregnated by a strong, masculine man, so they naturally have higher standards. “Other Avenues” meaning women couldn’t work so they had to marry some boring, average man to eat? Now that is a false market inflating a mans value. Now that women can earn their own money, the market value of men and women is much closer to their actual value.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/19 10:42 AM

Maybe it's not that women have an inflated sense of value, but that for the first time men are understanding the true value of their dick. And sorry, for a lot men it's worth less than being alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/19 02:28 AM

Why does it matter if a woman's sense of her own value is inflated? It doesn't mean she can actually get a relationship with the guys she thinks she deserves. Maybe a below average girl can hook up with an above average guy every once in awhile. But a hookup to a girl is pretty much worthless. If the guy is hot and good in bed it makes it just a little less worthless.

It's really rare for a woman to seek out casual sex for the sake of casual sex. It's not like they go hook up with a guy and would be completely happy with that hook up just for the sake of that hookup. They will pretty much always want a relationship with the guy they hooked up with. It's not women claiming they want a relationship but then hooking up with multiple guys because what they really want is a hookup. It's them hooking up with those guys because what they really want is a relationshi…

Look I'm sorry you haven't had much success with women and I doubt that you'll listen to me. But first of all - if 2 women have chased you... you probably have something going for you. Because women don't chase. Second of all - one guy I dated was shorter than me and he was honestly probably the best sex I ever had. I probably would have never been attracted to him if he whined to me about how he was short and couldn't get women. But he didn't, he was confident, didn't seem to have some major he…

Why would I date someone I'm not attracted to when I can date someone I am attracted to? Why would I ever marry a boring, poor, unattractive dude when I'd be happier getting a couple dogs? Why don't you just think really hard about those "invisible" unfuckable girls and go date one of them? If you lower your standards enough I'm sure you can find someone attracted to you.

I mean sorry but what do you want women to do? Change who they're attracted to for charity?

Dude. You are projecting your own thinking onto women. Apparently girls are fuckable to you or you don't see them? Because if it's not how you think I have no idea where you would have gotten this idea that this is how girls think? No girl I know thinks like this. If you actually talked to girls, you'd know most see varied qualities in dudes. Some are funny, some tell good stories, some are really intelligent coworkers, some are fun to get drunk with, etc. A few of these guys I might want to sle…

I think most guys aren’t in touch with the female ideal actually. Guys want to be body builder jacked and massive, which actually most women find unattractive. I think for most women I know, a more lean/muscular is ideal (I.e swimmers body, https://images.app.goo.gl/7SvMcdy39hXZfWXi8). Which I also understand that body is tough to attain, but most women will also compromise quite a bit in regards to body. We’re more concerned with personality, humor, feeling a spark.

I mean if you view men as one entity, yeah they seem hypocritical. Some will criticize you if you sleep around, some will criticize you if you only date “beta” males. But men are not one person, they don’t all have to agree on everything. Women as a whole are the same, some say players are pigs, while some seem to only be attracted to that type. You’re never gonna make everyone happy with any choice, so might as well do what makes you happy.

Women typically desire a meaningful, monogamous relationship with an attractive guy. Guys wanting casual sex with as many women as possible is not conducive to this, so yes women criticize this behavior. But at the same time, women who get overly invested too quickly or clearly want a relationship with a guy who doesn’t want to commit are labeled as clingy/crazy/needy etc. Does this mean female sexuality is repressed too? People in general tend to criticize behavior that works against their own …

So you're asking why mothers don't push their sons towards red pill?? Aren't the fathers the miserable ones? Aren't they the ones who supposedly haven't had sex in years? Aren't they the ones married to a woman who isn't attracted to them? Aren't they the ones going to work every day while their whole family spends all the money they work so hard for? Mothers hopefully talk to their husbands and issues are communicated (although in poorer relationships I'm sure this doesn't always happen). But e…

I'm not super social, partially due to introversion, partially due to pride (if I get annoyed with someone I'm not one to try to repair the friendship, I feel they should come to me), partially due to mild social anxiety. Then of the small group of people I actually do meet, I am very picky in terms of attraction. I just rarely feel attracted to someone, and when I do, it's rare they're attracted to me. I feel like other areas of my life I do all right, I've got a pretty good job, I stay in shap…

How is hitting a wall because startups are stressful rational? Hitting a wall doesn't make it any less stressful. It doesn't get work done.

Yeah if you are constantly overeating/bulking... you can easily go a day eating light. Any time I overeat, it's not that difficult to eat under my calories the next day. I can't even imagine if I were overeating every single day. Randomly eating a little lighter one day gives absolutely no insight into the challenges of staying skinny. What's hard is staying under your calorie allotment when you've been under your calorie allotment for weeks/months at a time. I'm not trying to compare to the cha…

This is so true. It's not as easy as just "don't eat the whole meal". It's staying slightly hungry all day to save some calories to go out, but even still you still can only afford to eat half the meal. So you do eat half and you're barely satisfied but you have to stop and basically try to distract yourself from the other half of your delicious dinner that is practically staring you down, begging you to eat it, until you can get a box and get it out of your face. All while everyone around you s…

Honestly I like this post - this is probably the post that comes closest to changing my view. There's a lot I didn't think about here. I agree that there's more common for dudes to get pressured into eating unhealthy shit. And I also never thought about "just don't be fat" in that way... that it's "just" because women don't have to do much else to be attractive, as opposed to "just" because it's easy. I do agree that guys typically have to check a lot more boxes to be considered attractive by wo…

Honestly it's true... I'm not sure if I officially had an eating disorder, but at my lowest point I was eating 1200 calories a day every single day. I wouldn't let myself go over even if I was starving. I had no energy, even walking up one flight of stairs after work was taxing. I was depressed because I skipped most social events since I was nervous about being tempted by food. When I did actually go to some social event, I pretty much didn't eat all day so I had room for a 600 calorie meal wit…

I actually specifically made a point not to compare to what guys have to do, because I think it's hard to compare. I do believe that a dude getting body builder lean/muscular is harder than a woman keeping a slim physique. But at the same time, I don't think many men get that lean. If they have, then yes, they understand what women do because they have gone through a cut to reach a BF% that is below what their body sits at comfortably. I think it's much more common for a woman to attempt to exis…

And AGAIN... all over this thread. I love it! The diet advice that is sooo so freaking obvious I can't believe any dudes think ANY slim woman does this as more than a rare treat. "Stop having that daily Starbucks milkshake". Uhh please the last Frappuccino I had was like 10 years ago. "Did you know that running is not necessary to be a healthy weight" yes I actually did know that, but some sort of working out, paired with light eating the rest of the day, IS necessary to eat a normal meal around…

THANK YOU! I love the guys that tell me I need to eat more all the time. If I actually ate the way they wanted me to, I'd gain 40 pounds and they'd snicker behind my back because I'm a fat pig who can't control myself.

I completely disagree. Even though typically you can eat healthy food that you like.. let's go out on a limb and say you HAVE to eat something you don't like. So you suck it up, go do it, and you're done. Not eating on the other hand.. let's say we're on the typical female diet where you are going to be slightly hungry most of the day. You must constantly suppress the nagging in your stomach. Every single minute your body is like.. hey you should eat something! And you have to say no. You can't …

Once again some more diet advice telling me to do what's already a given... Get something reasonably healthy and hope they don't drown it in oil. The hard part isn't eating healthy. The hard part is the fact that to be society's acceptable size 4 max, you need to spend part of every single day hungry.

Yes I don't need to be told to count my calories... started counting calories about 3 years ago and lost 40 pounds and I'm now a size 2. I don't need diet advice from a dude. It took me about 6 months to lose the weight and now 3 years later I'm still trying to figure out how to balance maintaining that diet while not socially isolating myself and not feeling like garbage. It's not as simple as just not stuffing your face. All this stuff that guys here are telling me to "just do" are things that…

It is honestly a given to not drink sugary cocktails. This is what I mean by guys underestimate the work it takes to stay skinny as a woman. You legitimately think we don't know that a sugary cocktail is like 400+ calories? We are already drinking whiteclaws and vodka sodas, getting small meals/salads, eating less all day to prepare, working out, and turning down invitations on days we already overate. Oh and the other thing is there's this weird pressure on girls to be skinny without trying. Li…

I completely agree that the male "ideal" of being lean/muscular is really tough to achieve. Most guys would need to be in the gym 6+ days a week and their diet needs to be on point 90% of the time. But a similar amount of work is required to achieve the female ideal. Maybe less gym time but a stricter diet. Victoria's Secret models have been known to go on week+ long water fasts before the show to look their best, and eating disorders are incredibly common among models. If instead, you think a m…

I guess for me... most of the time when I see an attractive man, I don't immediately jump to sexual thoughts. I will want to look at him simply because I enjoy looking at attractive people (both men and women)... sometimes their looks can be captivating. Because he is attractive I will be curious and hopeful. I will want to talk to him and get close with him and I hope that there is chemistry. But I won't feel that before getting to know him. Then, if he's easy to talk to, funny, interesting, an…

Is it unfair that someone I like won't date me because I'm not pretty enough for them? I mean probably. I can't control my looks. There are people out there that literally no one will date because of something they can't control, meanwhile there are people that can get anyone they want. Yeah, that's not fair. But IMO it's less unfair than forcing someone to bang/date someone they don't want to.

As a woman who has acted like the woman in this situation before, hopefully I can help some people understand why anyone would ever act like this: First of all, I like dominant men, and it is so attractive to me if the guy I have a crush on is SO into me that even if I play hard to get, he still goes for it. First of all, this displays dominance/confidence that I find so attractive. Second of all, it makes me feel incredibly attractive, which is a huge turn on and a huge part of my personal sexu…

Here is my theory (based on personal experience and experiences of friends): In the right context, i.e. if a woman is with the right guy who is saying the right things, touching her in the right places, and building the sexual tension...here a woman will want sex just as much as a guy. But we don't go through daily life in that state. It's not difficult to basically turn off or ignore our sexual side. I have plenty of girlfriends who go months or even years without sex, and couldn't be less both…

So I work with mostly guys, and I also recently lost a good amount of weight, so I think I'm a bit more attractive than I'm used to being. One thing I've noticed is men, usually way older than me, will strike up conversations in the break room all the time, and they keep these conversations going for 20+ minutes. I am a naturally friendly person, so I typically engage in these conversations and have trouble gracefully leaving conversations that I don't want to be in. I am not sure if these guys …
