| 1 | What’s going on with the ‘older men mainly want younger women to manipulate them’ claim? What does it mean if I like a woman to have a landing strip or dorito chip but otherwise be waxed or lasered? 🤔😛 | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/04/25 11:43 PM |
| – | The advocating of age gap relationshipsI just meant that she’s been out of undergrad and presumably gotten a job (or done grad school) and has lived on her own or with someone other than her parents…that sort of thing. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/04/25 11:02 PM |
| 1 | The advocating of age gap relationshipsI’m 41(M), but I’m very fit and look a bit younger. Women from 25-33+ are interested, not because of the age gap, but in spite of it. I wouldn’t even consider a woman younger than 25, just because I don’t think she’d have enough life experience to make a well-informed decision. And, frankly, it’s harder to relate to women that are still in their 20s. Edit: “younger” not “you get” | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/04/25 07:01 PM |
| – | Do Married Women Lose Their ‘Value’ in Red Pill Thinking?40M. Married, and RP-ish. Most secure, well-adjusted men value their wives for more than their looks, but want the woman to continue making an effort in that regard. I’m lucky…my wife is a smoke show, but what I most value about her is not her looks. Everyone places different weight on different attributes / behaviors, but genuinely caring and putting in effort broadly (but also with an eye toward what he cares about) goes a LONG way. Btw, I don’t think my comments are RP or BP….just common sens… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/03/25 12:39 AM |
| 1 | Women should not have to threaten to break up to get her boyfriend/husband to care about what she says.I couldn’t disagree more (with some caveats). Marriage context… In general, men want sex more than women. As such, at least in some relationships, women withhold sex to (dis)incentivize behavior if/when they don’t feel heard. Men that don’t feel heard? Um, Divorce court? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/12/24 05:28 PM |
| 2 | Men are held to a higher/more rigid standard of masculinity than women are for femininity. My wife has used variations of this when I set out boundaries she doesn’t like. “You’re so sensitive.” “You’re a man. You shouldn’t need to talk about every little thing you don’t like.” (I am selective; I was a grin & bear it guy for way too long.) “I miss when nothing fazed you.” (Ie, when I tolerated way too much) For the record, I’m assertive, successful, independent, handy, athletic, and a great dad. No insecurity here about my masculinity. I’m struggling to even think of a way to question … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/12/24 05:08 PM |
| 1 | Why do divorced men seem to struggle so much even when financials are not an issue?40M. I’m well off financially and would be / would have been as well or better off financially if I divorced (reconciling). I’ll answer assuming kids that are still in the house. Wives tend to run the social calendar and choose who you hang out with, to an extent. I suggest families / couples as well where I know the other dad better, but women tend to be more integrated. Family support is typically better for women because couples are more likely to live near her family than his. Women are more… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/11/24 09:10 PM |
