Avatar the Last Airbender is weak sauce. In the anime/animation realm, check out things like Samurai Jack Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal Dragon Ball One Piece One Punch Man Demon Slayer Kaiju No 8 Gantz Japan doesn't really mess with the "gender politics" thing beyond the most innocuous, surface level, very rare quips or remarks. They make their "Shonen" which is an action/fighting genre, for a male audience and make no qualms about it.

Abandon Hollywood and embrace anime. Things like Dragon Ball, One Punch Man, Demon Slayer. Casts of men and women where they are all great characters with none of the forced "girlboss" nonsense.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
