Boy, I do have to say that EvilPundit does a good job of being one of the top few comments on so many of these articles. Good job Pundit (or maybe he prefers to be called Evil.)

First off, I am glad you are out of that situation and are recovering. One of the thoughts that I have after reading your story is to remind men that they can and should start recording these women when they are doing these things. That could go a long ways towards getting the cops to believe them. Record, record, record.

I don't really give a shit what your degree is in, the only "in-group" bias that I care about as an MRA is the group bias where both men and women care more about women than men. We both seem to agree on that phenomenon, so you can stop telling me about the subtle differences. I just don't care.
/r/MensRights30/08/13 11:05 PM

The in-group bias issue that we deal with in Men's rights is the bias of women favoring women and men favoring women. Sure there are other "groups" that we as humans have an in-group bias towards but those biases do not affect mens rights. Whereas the gender group bias towards women does adversely affect men.
/r/MensRights30/08/13 10:50 PM

The "groups" we are talking about are men and women. Women have an in group bias towards women, men have a out group bias towards women.
/r/MensRights30/08/13 10:42 PM

But the point is that men do not have that same in group preference. They also will jump in to defend women.

What I see far more often is women using this to exert power and to get what they want.

Good on you for taking a stand with your mom. It's up too each one of us to "man up" and say something when we encounter sexism against men.

I think that it is time to give the Human Resources Director at Bishop Burton College, Ms Kate Calvert sternly written letters letting her know in no uncertain terms that this kind of behavior is not acceptable. I think that 70,000 emails from all of us would make quite the impression. The contact page for Burton College is here. I encourage everyone to email them. I think we underestimate how much of an impact we can make in these situations if we all participate in an email campaign.

Typical Slate XX garbage. There is no level that they will not stoop to to portray women as "oppressed." In the comments someone was able to see the full report and low and behold, the study found "Overall, there was no significant difference in the likelihood that men and women would be given flextime." What the study actually did was ask how likely someone would be granted flextime on a 7 point scale (I believe 5 is likely, 6 is very likely and 7 is extremely likely) male, low status, childcar…

With all of the child-support horror stories I hear, I was pleasantly surprised to actually see a judge use logic and decide that if he isn't genetically the father, he does not have to pay CS. I still can't believe the number of times that it is just the opposite occurs, "for the benefit of the child."

Kids love to play with everybody, especially fun loving uncles. Also, despite the horror stories we see here, there are more than a few women who find men who are good with kids very endearing. What you want to do is start off slow, just show an interest in what they are doing. Ask them questions and talk to them. Kids love attention and will be more than happy to tell you what they are up to. Sit down and watch television with them. Ask them what their favorite shows are and their favorite char…

It actually wasn't me, it's just a heartwarming story about a neat young man that came through my facebook. I felt it deserved some airing here to emphasize what nice things can happen when society doesn't view all men as potential pedophiles. (I am talking to you Virgin Airlines.)

I think that even the "everyday sexism" type of posts also serve a purpose. By reading these types of posts I can visualise how to respond. I know for me personally, I am much more mentally prepared to step in and say something when I or another man is being mistreated by a woman.
/r/MensRights06/08/13 03:28 PM

Yeah, I hear you, and I was being more than a little hyperbolic. However, after hearing all these stories like yours or about men being accosted by women or being confronted on play-grounds, I am much more mentally prepared to say something and stand up for these men in the future.

The more stories I hear like this the more likely I am going to say "Fuck That" and get in line anyway if a situation like that happens to me.

Yeah, it's obvious that we get brigaded constantly. However, I do especially like CosmicKeys documentation of it here. He does a thorough job in a matter-of-fact style that lends weight to the post. I think that all too often the hyperbolic hand wringing of the SJW's rubs off on us too much and starts to infect our posts. That only serves to weakens the posts and we start to sound just like SJW's.

You are right. That's one of the things that is horrifying about this case, there was no motivation for her to even do this yet she still does. Just imagine how much more often this must happen when these girls have a revenge motivation such as jealousy or breaking up.

That guy sued the girls for $60,000, I believe. I hope he wins. This guy in Britain should sue also. We need to start encouraging men to always sue to the max in these cases. The criminal punishments are not enough.

What I don't understand is if she was uncomfortable with him behind her why didn't she just stop on the side and force him to pass. I have done this numerous times when I was on a narrowish trail and wasn't sure if I was holding up the guy behind me or if I just felt it distracting with someone behind me.

The comments ended up being the usual blend of "no means no," "if your drunk you can't consent," "enthusiastic consent," etc. that we always see on Reddit. You do have a point and to be honest I am a little guilty of that. I celebrated when the military opened the door to women in combat because it meant that eventually women will be required to register for the draft (or draft registration will be abolished. I think that women being exempt from the draft is a huge double standard that is now going to be rectified. On the other hand, I abhor seeing double standards in physical requirements that allow women to enter into dangerous fields such as com…

NOW actively campaigned against the permenant alimony bill in Florida. http://www.natlawreview.com/article/overhaul-florida-alimony-laws-appears-headed-passage http://www.fathersandfamilies.org/2012/02/27/fl-house-votes-alimony-reform/ http://www.bizjournals.com/jacksonville/blog/morning-edition/2013/04/rick-scott-must-decide-this-week.html?page=all (12th paragraph)

It's nice that you would "guess" that NOW was instrumental in getting the bill vetoed. There's no profit in making silly claims that you can't substantiate. I don't know what the fuck crawled up your ass, but all of the articles that talk about the opposition to this bill prominently talk about the NOW lobbyist named Devane. So actually I am going to revise my statement to "NOW was very instrumental to getting this bill vetoed.

I was debating someone about permanent alimony and looked up an article about Florida's proposed law. I am not finding it right now but it did list a presumed 50/50 split as one of the provisions. I was a little surprised and quite heartened to see that provision included in a bill about permanent alimony.
/r/MensRights10/06/13 09:58 PM

NOW does actively campaign against the removal of permanent alimony, so yes I do consider feminism the enemy. It is this exact issue that was the straw that broke the camels back for me in regards to feminism. I was on the fence regarding feminism but I kept finding out more and more of the things that they do. Then I found out that they actively campaign against permanent alimony and became anti-feminist.
/r/MensRights10/06/13 09:51 PM

I think you are wayyy overstating it when you say "many" women are paying lifetime alimony. I would wager that it is only a handful. As for the changing alimony laws, I agree with you that they are only changing because they are starting to affect women now. Isn't that just peachy, discriminatory alimony laws are all right if they only affect men!

The thing I noted was, remember how much grief men got in the 60s and 70s about how they weren't doing enough around the house? Shit , we still get complaints about that, but it looks like it was 2 hours a week more. That doesn't seem like 2 hours is deserving all the flack men took. Contrast that too now, men are now putting in more time than women, but could you imagine us being able to complain about it? Just another double standard.

I don't know why they didn't imediately call the police, it is a clear cut case of domestic violence, all caught on tape to boot. Nia getting hauled out in handcuffs would have made a statement worth seeing. Only thing I can figure is that it is against the Real World rules to get the police involved. Come to think of it the statute of limitations probably has not run out, the guy and his girlfriend ought to file a complaint right now.

I loved the comment by Shasha: "There's another point. The statistics take no account of the fact that women, especially married women, benefit from receiving the net pay of their partners. For example, I know a woman who has never been able to find a job, is expecting her first child, and lives off payments from the state and funds from her father-in-law and husband. By the measure of the author, she doesn't earn any income herself and is therefore discriminated against and oppressed. Her name?…

Women with school age kids should be working and helping provide financially for the family, that is not just the mans duty. Given three kids 2 years apart that is 9 years of preschool children, after that she can join the workforce like the rest of us schlubs. many women who stay at home consider all of the housework their responsibility. Hey I am a father of two boys and I totally agree that taking care of infants and toddlers is extremely taxing and hopefully there are two parents available to take care of them. However, that is limited to 5 or 6 years, after they enter school it is a different story. Many women (perhaps you?) like to conflate these admittedly difficult years to all 18 years of raising kids and that is flat out wrong.

Again, after the children are in school and especially after they graduate, there is no reason that she should't go back to work. If I am working 40 to 50 hours a week, no matter how much I am making, she needs to be contributing financially as well. It may be part time to facilitate dealing with kids, but it needs to be something.
/r/TheRedPill03/06/13 11:06 PM

At least you are consistent. Unfortunately the rest of society does not agree with you. As a matter of fact DV laws are so screwed up that men are thrown in jail just because the woman claims she is "scared." And if a man hits a woman in public there are tons of bystanders stepping in for the women where in these videos no one stops the woman from beating on the man.
/r/MensRights03/06/13 10:25 PM
-4

The thing is it is a cop out, especially in this day and age, for a woman to stay home and take care of the kids for "25" years. It is not full time work to take care of a home and kids are not around for 25 years. Therefore she is not working to her full productivity, especially considering how adamant women are that men do their fair share of housework, therefore she should not be rewarded for it. Exactly how it is divided up is debateable but I look down on women who only do that.

Part of OP's original question: I am well aware I receive a fair bit of attention and benevolent sexism. This goes back to the discussion about female reporters being allowed in male athlete's locker rooms. While there are far too many double standards that benefit women to the detriment of men, this actually isn't one of them. It is interesting that the equipment is more geared towards women, but of course it makes sense when you think about it. That would make women only gyms more valuable to them. If you look at a history of disasters it has always been men who put themselves on the frontlines. Seriously, feminists take no qualms in painting all men as potentially violent rapists and we at mens rights are not allowed to point out that men are the ones who sacrifice themselves in times of disaster.
/r/MensRights17/04/13 05:51 AM
-4

Somehow when feminist paint all men as potential rapists they conveniently forget that it is men who put their lives on the line to protect society.
/r/MensRights17/04/13 05:47 AM
-6

Why because we want to highlight that men are more likely to put themselves in harms way to protect people? Feminist never hesitate to point out that men are more violent, why shouldn't we highlight the things that we are better at?
/r/MensRights17/04/13 05:44 AM
-4

When I view the video I see predominately men running to help. When I have seen most disaster videos it is almost always men who are running to help. This is a significant difference between the sexes and one that men do not get enough credit for.
/r/MensRights17/04/13 05:40 AM
-12

I guess then that there were more good men in the crowd than good women. If women can generalize men as violent rapists then we can remind them that it is men who generally put themselves in harms way to help people in an emergency.
/r/MensRights17/04/13 05:37 AM

Feminists love to vilify and generalize men as rapists and pedophiles but they are loath to give credit to the men who put themselves in harms way to protect people.

Yeah, I got more background information over at the r/politics post and it does seem to be more about the schools overly PC speech policies rather than sexual harassment policies. Although it is definitely possible that the schools overly PC speech policies are based on concerns over sexual harassment claims. The thing that could make this a mens rights issue is the sexual harassment angle.

Donglegate was essentially the same thing. Feminism has given women the power to get men fired just because the womens feelings got hurt. Additionally, a male teacher would not have been able to that because he is not a "protected" class.

Since becoming aware of the huge double standard that society has I have become more willing to step up and stop a woman abusing a man. If I am able I am going to always step in and say something. A few months ago I witnessed a woman hitting a man on the street. I had to drop a friend off down the block but I came right back and told the cops where were there by then what I had witnessed. I am due to testify next month.

This post may be relevant, Daddy Justice is a Fathers rights advocate who has been targeting government employees that discriminate against fathers. If it was his efforts that uncovered this judges corruption, then good on him. I would love to see more background on the story.

That was a pretty good find and the thread was right on topic. I remember that thread and was pleased at how even handed it was. I hope others will peruse that thread and also take heart in the fact that men's sexuality isn't as demonized as it feels like sometimes.
/r/MensRights08/03/13 06:54 AM

All of this is just smokescreen around the real issue which is, is she old enough to say stop? At 16 she is old enough and mature enough to simply say stop, that is all she had to do. Without saying stop all this is is regretful sex (other than statutory).
/r/MensRights27/02/13 04:29 PM
5

So young and stupid does not make a rape. Forcing someone into sex is rape. He did not force her.
/r/MensRights27/02/13 09:56 AM
1

She told her intent but couples start making out all the time with the intention of not having sex and then get horny and go ahead have sex. She was not "accosted" they were making out. If she did not want to have sex she should have told him to stop, it really isn't that difficult. You keep calling her a "young child." A young child is 8 or 10 or younger. 16 is practically and adult and is old enough to legally drive.
/r/MensRights27/02/13 09:55 AM
3

You can drive at 16, if you are old enough to drive you are old enough to say stop when someone starts to do something you don't like.
/r/MensRights27/02/13 07:22 AM
10

It seems like MR has been overrun with concern trolls of late. That is the only explanation I have for all of the rape accusations in that thread.
/r/TheRedPill27/02/13 06:56 AM
2

Bull, she is not a child. There are many states where 16 is legal to have sex, so don't give me a blanket statement that she is too immature to have sex. Besides, he is only 3 years older than she is. She is old enough to be able to drive a car, a potentially deadly weapon, she is old enough to say stop when someone starts doing something she doesn't want.
/r/MensRights27/02/13 06:41 AM
4

Why would she be scared, they were just making out. He didn't "force" her to do anything. All she had to do was say no.
/r/MensRights27/02/13 06:18 AM
4

How many couples have gotten caught up in making out and changed their mind? It happens all the time. When he escalates things she could have said no and made it clear that she hadn't changed her mind.
/r/MensRights27/02/13 04:15 AM
1

She is not a child, shit she is deemed mature enough to drive a 2000 lb car (a death dealing missile when mishandled). People get horny all the time when making out and change their mind about having sex. If she didn't want to have sex she should have told him no when he started to take her clothes off. It really isn't rocket science.

The only statutory rape case that I have seen in the US where the women got the kind of jail time that a man gets was one where the mom went ballistic and raised a huge stink. It sounds eerily similar to a post I read the other day (I think it was here on Mensrights) where a guy said that his frat had mandatory bi-weekly meetings with a woman "sensitivity advisor." In those meetings they were required to come up with ways that they had been sexist that week and they weren't allowed to say that they hadn't been.
/r/MensRights06/02/13 06:11 AM

I phrased that poorly. I was sarcastically telling OP that NOW does take on the issue of lifetime alimony, they advocate for the continuance of it. It was actually this issue that ended up pushing me over to being anti-feminist. It became clear to me that the power feminists are absolutely not about equality and fairness, they are for giving women every advantage possible.
/r/MensRights29/01/13 05:14 PM
1

I knew I didn't phrase that real clearly, NOW is fighting to keep the rules as they are now. NOW will continue to fight for lifetime alimony until women start having to pay it in large numbers. Then, and only then, will lifetime alimony magically become "unfair."

Serial divorcers absolutely do not skew the results, there are far, far fewer multiple divorcers than overall divorces. The most you can say about serial divorcers is that their chance of divorce is even higher, in the 60-70% range.

You might've been, but I was responding to an earlier comment who used to 50% divorce rate without clarifying if he was talking about lifetime rates I am not really sure why anyone would assume anything other than a lifetime divorce rate. You do know that we are talking about a lifetime rate of 50% right? I personally want to be married for the rest of my life. I got into a discussion with a guy about this issue. I found that Politi-fact (a pretty highly regarded fact checking organization) that spoke to numerous experts who all agreed with "between 40 an 50%, edging towards 50%." In addition, I saw where Paul Elam talked about how the calculation of "primary care giver" hours was sexist in favor of women. England seems to pretty regularly sentence these scummy women to a couple years in jail. To me that seems at least in the right ballpark for punishment for this crime. In addition I would like to see the victims suing these scummy women for some sizable cash for pain and suffering. Now if we could get the US to treat false rape accusations with the same intensity.

Very well stated and I heartily agree. Your analysis ties right into the current viral video of the busdriver uppercutting the woman passenger. He was pushed past his breaking point by a verbally and physically aggressive woman and struck back in a manner that if it had been a man he hit there would be little or no issue. But because she is a woman, he gets charged much more harshly, even though she was the aggressor.

My take on the issue is that it is my goddamn son and there is no way you are going to circumcise him. Decisions of that magnitude have to be a consensus, if there is no consensus then there is no circumcision. It is the same standard as should be with respect to having kids, unless both partners want them there are no kids. Unfortunately, we all know that "mistakes" happen.

She is the one initiating, they are the ones consenting (or not). It would not be illegal for them to accept her offer. I agree that it would be gross to accept her offer and I would definitely think less of them if they had, but it would not be illegal. IMO a perfect analogy is if a drunk person gave you $10,000, you may be a shitty person for taking it and there may even be a legal theory that would compel you to return the money but there is no way he can say you robbed him.

Pretty much everyone agrees that a sober person having sex with her would be a gross person, partially because sloppy drunk people like that are gross. But calling them rapists, hell no. She instigates the sex, it is up to them to consent (or not) so the "too drunk to consent" rule is moot.

Not to be a grammar nazi but the term is "albeit," defined as although or while.

I think you are way underestimating the fact that the girl was over-weight. That completely changes the dynamic. If she had been a cute little thing I don't think it would have gone over so well, even being Enrique

I kind of like having ol' SuicideBanana around. I always see him floating around down there at the bottom with those negative votes. He's kind of like that idiot "friend" some groups have. There is no way that FGM would be allowed if the circumstances were reversed, therefore it is a double standard. Mutilation is mutilation and is not acceptable. Period.
/r/MensRights26/09/12 07:21 AM

It is mutilation and should not be condoned, just as FGM is not condoned.

I remember a post last year by a college student who started a mens alliance. He had good luck coordinating with the college feminist group despite some push back by some of the radfems. Does anyone have a link to that post, he might be a good source of information and advice.

We don't complain that feminism doesn't focus on men's issues, we complain that they actively fight against men's issues. This while feminist's claim that they are only for equal rights and therefore there is no need for a MRM and actively try to censor MRAs.
/r/MensRights23/09/12 10:07 PM

You have to admit it is funny, plus it has more than just a smidgen of truth to it.
/r/MensRights23/09/12 12:40 AM

I would say gay rights groups have their act together FAR MORE than mens rightsers do I agree with you there, the MRM definitely needs to take lessons from them. Additionally, it makes lots of sense to closely align with them on issues that intersect both movements.

She better have been charged with assault and battery and expelled from school. The guy should press charges, we have to encourage guys to always press charges. No more sitting back and letting women walk all over us, no more double standards.
/r/MensRights22/09/12 10:23 PM

This should definitely be reported to higher ups, it is absolutely unacceptable and is a hostile work environment. Talk to the guy and convince him to join you in complaining to corporate. We have got to take a stand against these sort of double standards.

This is why we need to stand up to the feminists here in the US. They are gradually dragging us into this cesspool of anti-male legislation and illogical rules. One of the main signs of that progression towards this anti-male feminism that I see right now is the anti-rape policies at Universities. Part of those policies call for only a preponderance of evidence requirment for sexual assualt cases and "guilt tripping" counts as sexual assault. These polices are evidence of the slow erosion of jur…

It reminds me of the one woman on the Judge Judy post that broke her ex's bedroom down and then falsely accused him of abuse. Even when Judge J. was calling her out on it she seemed to legitimately not understand what she did was wrong.
/r/MensRights15/09/12 05:29 AM

But the key is if it makes them feel uncomfortable. My buddies and I can be down right rude to each other (in a joking way). In that situation it is not harassment, it is the same way in the work place. There is no cut and dried harassment, it depends on whether it offends.

One commenter said that part of the reason for the custody ruling was because the man lost his VISA because Rutherford's lawyers reported him to ICE. Therefore, if she got custody he would never be able to see the kids. If that is true, good on the judge for being logical and fair and it serves Rutherford right for fighting dirty.

Oh I don't know, based on his story I know I would be pretty damn pissed and bitter and need to vent if it was me. He is telling us his story and how he feels about it. The only logic part is the question of alimony and that part I agree with him. Alimony is rigged to benefit the lazy partner off of the skin of the industrious partner.

Not surprisingly, NOW vociferously campaigned against this law. Yes feminists are for equality and there is no need for MRA's because they will always look after men's issues. /s

Generally, yes he would still be required to pay the same amount.
/r/MensRights11/09/12 07:13 AM

I agree that in this situation alimony was properly applied. Unfortunately, all to often it is taken advantage of by lazy women. One question I have is did she get all that she asked for? Or did she ask for more. If that is all that she asked for then this is more of another example of the woman being fair (like other examples in this thread) than an example of the system being fair.
/r/MensRights11/09/12 07:09 AM
-1

It might interest you to research how alimony law has changed in societies where women start paying alimony. Are there any societies like that? I don't think so. It is my belief that as soon as women start having to pay alimony in close to the same amounts as men they will campaign to make alimony more fair. And as soon as they start asking for those changes the patriarchy will give it to them. Just like they did when women wanted to move from the home into the workforce, when they wanted to vot…

First off, OP didn't say anything about children so let's take that off the table. A personal assistant will run you ~30k a year while they are providing services not for a lifetime after they quit. Meanwhile the wife also gets all the benefits of his hard work, a nice house, clothes, cars, vacations, etc. She would have had none of those if he had not worked hard and stayed a janitor. No that is not fair.
/r/MensRights11/09/12 05:57 AM
3

Actually, that was the first time I'd heard explained that I understood, thanks. It does feel like it is used by feminists in a disparaging way similarly to patriarchy.

I started to wonder if it was one of those trolls who looks for negative karma points. If it was they scored big.
/r/MensRights10/09/12 02:11 AM

This is obviously inequitable but feminists will say that "well she supported him in the marriage." I guarantee you that if/when the situation arises where women are the ones who are paying these kind of divorce settlements in significant numbers they will change their tune and feminists will claim it is unfair.

There are idiot people in both sexes. Thankfully they are a minority.

Thanks, I didn't catch that. Good deal, it's about time some of these women get sentences equivalent to mens.

Again UK, why in the world can't the US be as egalitarian in its treatment of women predators as the UK is. This kind of sentence is never seen in the US. Plus the UK takes false rape accusations much more seriously. Let's try this again, .... Whooo Hoooo, it's about time a US woman got the kind of sentence for rape that men get everytime.

What are you talking about? He is only 14 years old for god's sake! You really think that a 20 year old man and a 14 year old girl would be treated leniently? Hell no. You bet I do, just take the genesis of the movement, Elevatorgate. Wherein you take a whiny feminist add an invitation for coffee and conversation and all of a sudden you have Watson manshaming every male in attendance at the conference. The whole point of Athesim + is the same ole' trope of feminism " men are bad, women are good." The vast majority of religious-based sexism is of the anti-woman type. So you had a false accusation? I am sorry that happened to you. Unfortunately, false accusations are even harder to prove than rape accusations. At least in the UK they do prosecute some false accusations. Here in the US it is actively campaigned against by guess who, feminists.
/r/MensRights04/09/12 01:38 AM

That is definitely going to be an interesting case. Hopefully it will finally be the case that breaks the logjam on false accusation prosecutions. Even though the authorities seem to be taking it very seriously I personally am not holding my breath waiting for her to get significant jail time.

/r/MensRights03/09/12 02:17 PM

Yes, and a man should have the same right to disavow a child, just like a woman. She can abandon her child (safe haven laws), no harm no foul. Men deserve and equivalent right.
/r/MensRights30/08/12 05:51 PM

And so did she, but after that she has all the choices and that is not fair.

While I can see why one could take offense at this, I do think that it is funny because I know that I am, and I think most fathers are more rough and tumble with their kids. I know when my boys were infants all swaddled up tight I thought they were just the right size to make a great football. I thought it a crack up to hold them in the Heisman trophy pose as I crossed the goaline for a touchdown. Luckily my wife would step in before the victory spike, though! I see stories like that pretty regularly, I would love to see them in here. My kids were that age 20 years ago, so society was considerably different, but my only encounter of this type was at the Mexican border. I lived in San Diego and took my two boys to TJ to get them cowboy boots (boy did they get a kick out of those boots). On the way back the border patrol agent asked me a couple of pointed questions about our trip. It wasn't the questions that he asked, it was more the attitude that he had ಠ_ಠ. It really annoyed me.

How sad what pedo-hysteria and feminist man bashing brought us too. I love kids and smile and interact with them when I can. The "toy choice to determine gender" sounds really interesting, can you point me to some sources on that? I have always been interested in hermaphrodites/ambiguous genitalia because IMO it provides a good counter-argument to some of fundies anti-gay arguments. I.E. God does not make mistakes, god does not make gay people, it's a choice. Well wait a second god makes hermaphorodites/ambiguous genetalia what sex are they?

Sounds too much like "high maintenance."

And violence begets violence. That is why the way this nation handles DV is so fucked up. They only focus on male violence and totally ignore the reciprocal nature of domestic violence. An other words women are only victims.

While I will agree that shooting is probably an over-reaction, he was being attacked by what looked like 5? people. He does not know that they aren't armed. They could easily have had knives or even guns. In any case he was retreating, they were attacking. And to repeat, you were fucking lying when you said "they were playing a joke." The one hitting him was not laughing, and the others were cackling like hyena's because they thought she could hit him with impunity. And finally, they definitely …

Bullshit, they were not "pushing him away" so they could get their friend. Way to totally mischaracterize what happened. Immediately after knocking her down he was backing away from her. He was almost instantly a good 3 feet away from her when her two friends continued the attack on him. I would not have blamed him if he had clocked them as well. They were aggressively cornering him. Your words are bad, and you should feel bad.

It is also my standard that if they are "getting in my face" they are invading my personal space. If they keep doing that and are verbally instigating a fight I am likely to clock them. Nobody, man or woman, is allowed to invade my personal space and abuse me without repercussions.

I am actually starting to follow NOW's call to actions, it lets me know who to call and which position to take, i.e. the opposite of NOW. NOW inevitably argues against egalitarianism and for women's superiority.

Well now that was interesting. I was aware of LadyMRAs but had not been over there and that is still the only post I have read over there. The thing that bothered me the most was when they started equated harsh language with threats of violence, it was ridiculous. How about shades of the DV situation for men, all a women has to do is say "he made me afraid" and he can be kicked out of his house.

I thought the post by Bensch had merit. He says that he merely commented that location might not be good because of a scheduled block-party and Elleuh (OP) responded very rudely and condescendingly. According to Bench there was a ladies only meetup earlier in the year that went off without any problems. So maybe it was her antagonizing attitude that riled these guys up. In no way am I condoning what happened, it is damn obnoxious, but we know that it only takes a few people to raise a shit-storm…

As for women's reproductive choices don't forget "infant safe haven." So even after birth women have a new mothers get out of jail free card.

Thank you for your post it was very inspiring. I am pretty anti-feminist but seeing stuff like this could soften my stance a little. Mostly wanted to say how adorable your son is. It also made me smile thinking of how cute your daughter must have been, running around so much you couldn't get a picture. :)

It really is just this simple, if the pinprick of the clitoral hood is mutilation then the removal of 20,000 nerve endings in the foreskin IS mutilation and to say otherwise is misandry. Feminists are the ones who don't want to concede that it is mutilation because it horns in on their victimization olympics.

The thing is that it is feminism that brought the specter of over-zealous sexual harassment complaints. Just like just about everything that feminism does it starts out with good intentions and then gets carried away to ridiculous extremes. If women are going to complain about a wife in a bikini shot I am going to complain about beefcake pictures. If women are going to complain about being ogled in the office, I am going to complain about women dressing inappropriately for an office, i.e. too mu…

If you work with this person file an harassment suit. We need to fight for equality.

Let us reiterate, feminists continually use these figures to lobby for changes in the law like the Paycheck Fairness Act when there is no pay discrimination in the workplace and will not address those factors you list.

I am circumcised as well and I also don't feel particularly mutilated but it is impossible for us to know what it is like to not be circumcised. It just seems like it is so obviously wrong and should not be allowed. It also pisses me off that feminists insist on poo-pooing it and saying that all MRA's are doing by insisting that it is mutilation just like FGM is trying to horn in on their oppression party.
/r/MensRights12/07/12 05:27 PM

Even a pinprick to the clitoral hood is considered "FGM", by that definition slicing off 20,000 nerve endings more than qualifies as mutilation and is totally analogous to FGM and to say otherwise is misandry.
/r/MensRights12/07/12 02:42 PM

Aaaand exactly how is it not mutilation? A pinprick to the clitoral hood is considered FGM, circumcision is orders of magnitude worse than that.

Now wait a minute, women are constantly proclaiming "I don't dress sexy for men, I only do it to make myself feel better" or "I got that boob job for myself, not for men." Which is it did men make you do it or are you doing it for yourself.

That was exactly my thought as well. How can men be sexist both when go to strippers and when they are strippers. But the women are the victims both when they go to strippers and are strippers. Feminists will stoop to anything to win the oppression olympics.

You really think that the double standard of it being acceptable for a woman to hit a man but not acceptable for a man to hit a woman is not a men's rights issue? It speaks directly to the disposability of men and the perenial victimhood of women. It also illustrates the anti-men policies relating to domestic violence.

People aren't downvoting "on average", people are downvoting the statement that "men are stronger than women" is sexist. When someone says that of course they mean on average, nobody believes that "all" men are stronger than "all" women.
