I’ve been through the exact same situation. I had suicidal thoughts, but I didn’t end my life. Let me be honest with you: after a couple of years, you will laugh at why you even thought that way. You will laugh because it’s just not worth it. Time really does heal. As men, we've all been through this—feeling lonely, sad, and losing family. We just have to take it; there’s no escape. I’ve talked to a suicide hotline before, and there really is help out there. Go find something you love to do. Gam…

Ouch, first you need to find a hobby or go to gym. If you were depressed, gym or your hobby will make you to ease your depression. I am not sure the divorce rate in Korea, but in USA and China divorce rates are more than 50%. It’s skyrocketing. It’s insane in modern marriage divorce rate keep getting higher and higher. Unfortunately I am fell into that 50%. My hobby is playing games. If I feel depressed or lonely I just to play games. It works for me. Then let time heals you! Good luck man.

That friend of your wife is a horrible person. That person never thinks of your kids. Your wife believes everything her friend says, and she thinks divorce is a better option than working it out together. Some people have weak minds, and your wife is one of them; she is convinced that divorce is the only option. At this point, she has already made up her mind. When a woman makes up her mind, it’s pretty much done. Now, get a lawyer and do not be too nice. I have been through a similar situation,…

Damn that’s brutal. This is what happens to most of the man who married to a woman without knowing them. I wish I know this before marriage. To know a woman, her true color, you must know her parents, especially her mother. The more you know about her mother the more you know her true color. I somewhat relate to this. I totally feel your pain. Now it’s time to move on and fight. Hire a lawyer! If you don’t have money borrow money. Trust me it’s worth! You can always make back the money but you c…

When woman ask for divorce there’s no way you can save the marriage. I think your wife might have a backup but they didn’t end up well. Or she doesn’t love you but she needs something else from you. And that thing is… the person who can support her financially! Maybe I am wrong, but I’ve seen so many marriage end up like this. Wife doesn’t love the husband. after she filed divorce, she regrets, because she needs his financial support. That’s it! Oh another thing, you are probably sexually not at…

Hey man, what about your kid? Don’t you want your kid back to live with you? There are so many kinds of people living in this world, you just picked a bad one. It has nothing to do with your kid. If the mom’s life is tough, your kid shouldn’t live with her.

Here divorce man 40 years old. Let me tell you, single life is not scary. Money is your first priority. No kid no problem. If you divorce and have kids, your life is pretty much over because of child support. You can’t save any money at all. In USA, woman always get full or 60% custody. It’s not fair. Be aware of modern woman. Free is always expensive. If you need sex, rather pay for it. Don’t get it for free.

I am living in MA. My lawyer told me that the family court still favor woman. The system is a joke. At this point you should pretend to be mentally ill. No job and no nothing. But you will probably lost custody. Man your situation is tough. I had hard time to got out of the divorce. Yea fk the family court!

Be depressed and not working. Go grab some cash job. Do not pay child support. Your ex will cover all expenses by herself. In USA the family court is broken. It’s not fair for men.

Thank you for all of your feedback. I am so happy to see that all the dads' answers are cohesive. I am living in Massachusetts. This state won’t allow dads to have half of the parenting time, even if the wife files for divorce.

No, I want to take care of my daughter. I want her to spend equal time with me and my wife. I want her to be healthy not just physically but also mentally. So if I got half of the parenting time. I could save child support money for my daughter. And it’s a win-win situation.

Can I go to a lawyer to ask her to do that? Would they accept payment afterwards?

The court only issue parenting time. I am still fighting half parent time. But I will take her assets, because living with 18% of my income is insane. You got any idea how to get out of that situation?

She’s still my wife. I haven’t sign the paper. Medical is 50/50 on the document but I didn’t sign it.

Today my mother in law blame the shit out of me because I asked for my wife’s asset. If I took the asset it would be hard for my 4 years old daughter living in there. It would be hard for me to pick her up. I would see hate from this family for the rest of my life…my mom try to convince me not to take the asset. She said that if I took the asset there will be tremendous of hates toward me from my wife’s family side. It’s hate bothers me a lot…. Sometimes I can’t take it.

First, I was the one who took care of my daughter. However, when Covid arrived, my mother-in-law lost her job and stayed at home to look after my daughter. While I worked upstairs, I occasionally came downstairs to spend time with and care for my daughter. When my mother-in-law returned to her job at a hotel, I resumed taking care of my daughter. However, during that time, she attended daycare on Wednesdays and Thursdays, making my schedule somewhat awkward. On Mondays and Tuesdays, I had to loo…
