1: It just isn’t a popular concept. Sexuality is viewed by most as a fundamental human experience to be reveled in and enjoyed rather than a disgusting (and soon probably obsolete) animal encumbrance fraught with danger and consequences at every turn. Nevertheless, I do know there are willing volunteers out there who really want to set aside that human yearning. 2: (tinfoil hat) Male desire for access to women (both in companionship, social acceptance and reproductive power) is the engine of our…

Then I’ll give it a buy and see how it goes. The only alternative I’ve heard of are SSRIs, and those worked for a good five minutes. Kind of telling this is the core of so many issues, but there isn’t a reliable direct mitigation available, the opposite is in every corner store, and conversation about it is actively stifled.

To the best of my knowledge, no. This never really bothered me. It bothered one of my friends in his relationships. He was physically extremely attractive to women, had sex with many a lot, and cheated often. He was obsessed with what sex acts one of his longer term girlfriends had engaged in in her past relationships. He always wanted to know, but the truth either made him mad or he wouldn’t believe it. Weird, weird thing to me. And strange to be on her side.

Well, since you said ‘statistically’, 4% is now proven fact. And since I’m just a weirdo ranting, all my arguments are invalid and you’re in the right, statistically. And since my other examples from experience fell outside the character limit quota of your sodden attention span, they can be dismissed and I’m just pulling from my military experience now and not western/US culture as a whole. (Extra points for ‘military bab’.) So I’m just construing based on one experience and not pretty much eve…

I disagree. But I’m at two years now and I’m surviving. Four years before my last relationship and I’m fine. And I was in the military in that four year dry spell, in my mid twenties so my test levels were maybe probably a bit high. But I was alright. I didn’t die. It didn’t fall off. The idea that men have to get off ‘or else…’ is another disempowering lie, and an effective one, since it’s so close to the truth: sex is an appetite. Dudes who can’t reason over their own base desires end up slave…

Sometimes it’s legit from the military. Saying “that woman sergeant” is a great way to die. Here in civvy life, the rules are reversed. But I believe your point is true, especially saying “men” and “female”.

I did, although it doesn’t matter. That line is downputting him and othe men enough. And the rest is just more of the same incel horseshit. Weird my sister in law went on this rant when we were all sitting around the campfire about how she couldn’t bring herself to harm another person, even if they were breaking into her home. Me and my other brother (a two time Iraq war vet) kind of shared a look at that. Like ‘liability noted, defense plan updated’. They just don’t realize some ‘people’ will oblige them happily.

I am unsuccessful. I have successfully had unsuccessful relationships. I think being successful sexually is the ability to know what/who you want how and get that, as well as being able to give that person what they want, and most importantly BE what they want.

Wow! That 4% must somehow be everyone I know because it’s all three of my ‘inner circle’ friends, one of their wives, one of their sisters, everyone from my friends group in the military except maybe two people who are abstainers like me (and yes, they look a lot better too). My home town basically consists of a series of bars and breweries and all people do there is drink and fuck each other. And now they all look 50. They want to sell it to you so they feel better about themselves. Don’t take that bullshit. Alcohol is poison, the real ‘Wall’ and it hits both men and women. I guess that makes sense. And it also makes sense that dudes want to feel special, like her sexual number 1. But we aren’t special, we’re dudes. History mows us down by the millions and billions and all we hear is how nice men had it. And these days, a woman could have fucked 5 dudes or 50. she passes a guy on the street that gives her tingles, she wants to fuck him, she’ll fuck him. I don’t think they care about it or think about it that much. Until they ask and find out and wind up feeling like a whore. I don’t know why dudes worry about it that much either, except because it makes their gf pissy, petty and stupid bc they went and made themselves feel like a whore by finding out their dude slept with a fraction of the people they had. Probably best not to mention it at all, then.

I didn’t hear much about feminists growing up, one way or another. But I don’t doubt it. Though we could probably agree that little good came from Christianity, for men or women.

Southern Baptist and some weird tongue-speaker types. Mom needed to scratch that ‘holy spirit’ itch. Most of my Christian upbringing was through her filter. So, yes, even though there were stories like Jezebel and Eve or whatever else, those were all tempered very heavily with how good Christian women weren’t like that.

I appreciate that feminism showed formerly tradcon men that women will not love you for loving ‘the Lord’, being well-groomed, having a great career, or treating them respectfully. That’s just something that tradcon mothers say so their sons won’t have premarital sex and be good little tradcon Christian boys. I appreciate that feminism taught tradcon boys that women are more likely to smack the shit out of you for sitting on their swing, laugh in your face, and say you can’t hit them back becaus…

Yep. ‘Romantic’ lust happens all the time. It’s more readily available when one is in a relationship because people love to test their attraction level against that of someone’s partner. That might be the secret big reason people cheat. And that time where one will be worthless can extend out to a lifetime, if the deadbeat can hoodwink their partner into going along with it for that long. “Just one more month, then I can…”

I understand what you’re saying, but theory is different from direct application. Understanding someone is human and going through a hard time when they snap at you for leaving something at the house can be hard to put a cap on. <months> You deal with it and turn around one day and they’re screaming at you to ‘stop trying to get out of it’ for rushing around with an actual checklist with all their necessary travel items on it. Promiscuous men are also unfaithful. Promiscuous people are generally unfaithful because they can be, and because it validates them. It’s all they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 05:52 PM
0

That’s fair. If I walked away every time I was unhappy, I’d only have one-night stands or very short relationships. Those make me unhappy, too. I don’t necessarily disagree with the idea that relationships aren’t always happy and take a lot of work, but I don’t think there’s enough distinction for it not to be utilized by abusers.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 05:42 PM
1

The argument is that this “love is a burden” propaganda, while not necessarily a falsehood, is quite often used as a means for abusers to continue their ways free of charge on their abusees. Whether or not it’s ‘c0p3’ is irrelevant to it being an argument or not since our perspective is all we have. The fact that Redditors keep sidling up trying to nitpick it apart by hook or by crook is pretty telling, as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 05:33 PM

So where is the distinction?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 05:11 PM

Where does the advice provide the distinction between “love is a difficult choice” and “accept abuse”?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 04:08 PM
3

A straw man is establishing someone as saying, doing, or representing something they’re not in order to win out against that argument. What I am doing is “providing anecdotal evidence” that was the proper invalidation counter argument you should’ve gone for, because I don’t have to ‘set up’ or misrepresent something that actually happened. And it isn’t a falsehood that that mentality can easily lead to abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 03:52 PM
1

What is a straw man fallacy?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/21 03:24 PM
3

This mentality of “love is a choice, a daily decision to stick with it, even if it isn’t ideal, is really tough” kept me in an abusive relationship for an extra year and a half. I finally left when I realized I would be dead or in jail soon. Never again. I’ll never date anyone ever again. I’ll never have sex so I’ll never owe anyone anything. I’ll never feel obligated to hold such a poisoned mentality for as long as I live.

Because that’s how the culture and the media and parents raise male children to be. There’s no denying that biology is a factor, but the problem is first exacerbated by an over-sexualized culture and then mocked and derided by same said culture. Actual solutions to this problem, like libido dampeners, are off the table because male sexuality is far too productive and useful for society, the government, and women. No, but I’m getting there. Mine is just to the bottom of my neck, which is the longest it’s ever been, and it’s pretty heavy, and obnoxious, and tough to maintain. (I’ll never go back though. I love it.) That’s just a caveat at the end, not a dealbreaker. It’s not necessary, just nice. I REALLY like hair.

Exactly why I say it’s Orwellian. I don’t think people or the govt wants those for men because then where’s the carrot on the string for them to work stupid jobs and get taxed? The opposite, libido enhancers, are in every drugstore and vape shop coast to coast. Because that makes the drive for men to do stupid shit for the govt. Dampeners would have their uses for lonely dudes, sure (for the record I am not one of those ‘lonely dudes’). But it mainly could be a focus for people who’s sexuality r…

What do you mean “that bad”. And I’m tired of jacking off. I’m tired of my preoccupied brain.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 01:31 PM

You asked for an antidote. It doesn’t get more antidote than that. Why do people get so weird about the idea? It’s not like I suggested it be mandatory. That would make it Orwellian.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 01:27 PM
1

Or do you mean the censorship? Because yeah.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 01:19 PM

Why? What’s “Orwellian” about sovereignty over one’s own sexuality?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 01:18 PM

I made a post about libido inhibitors/dampeners so people (men and women) could “bow out”, if they wanted and not be entirely beholden to their biology but it was taken down for being “off topic”.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 01:09 PM
1

Not necessarily, no. Edit: In that “well actually” is dismissive, saying that your side of ‘the coin’ doesn’t exist. While my comment didn’t negate the fact that what you said about the police response/help for your situations didn’t exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 11:19 PM

Which in looking back, was an incorrect figure of speech to open with, and an unjust way to view the convo. I apologize for that.

I didn’t say say “well actually”. I said, “on the flip side of that same coin”.

/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 10:44 PM

Off topic from what?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 10:41 PM

To explore options for those who want to get on with their lives and focus on different things but are plagued with an overactive sex drive. What makes it garbage?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 10:35 PM
2

I did. I responded to your comment about cops within that context.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 10:26 PM

I’ve heard that as well! I’ve also heard women generally aren’t considered as having issues with overactive or especially high libido (although I’m sure that’s a problem for some). Considering that a lot of the issues on this sub could be related in some way to overactive male libido, why is there no libido dampener/inhibitors also commonly available for men? (In fact instead, we have the opposite at every gas station, vape shop, CVS, Walgreens, etc)
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 10:24 PM

Ah. Well, we should have a safe one on the market, IMO
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 10:18 PM

Well, they need to be safe and reliable. Plus, I think they say they used it for recruits in basic training. But i know from experience that’s just fear and stress.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 10:17 PM

But those aren’t really safe and reliable though, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 10:16 PM

The information proving what I said wasn’t a ‘whataboutism’ was posted hours before your reply.

Men should talk more about it so other men can know how easy it is to slip into a relationship like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 09:50 PM

So you respond with the same aberrant negation, bullying, and disbelief you claimed men do to you. Class act, like the rest of your unscrupulous behavior on this sub. Good work.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 09:47 PM
2

Except I wasn’t responding to your story, I responded to what you said about the police from the context of my own situation. And I wasn’t even trying to negate or disprove what you said, I was just adding to. You didn’t like that bc of my anatomy.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 09:13 PM
1

You were supposed to assume that what I said about “the least amount of damage” and “cornered” and “straddled” were true. I wouldn’t be responding if you spoke about my experiences with an iota of respect.

You are STILL trying to underplay what happened to me by painting as some kind of even fight between two consenting adults. Tell your new friend the truth. I was on the floor, trying to sleep. Why did the fight begin? Because I refused to get in bed with my partner because I had determined to break up. Hiding in your house from a violent lunatic is horrible, and I couldn’t imagine the terror. I had a conniption when a drunk homeless dude burst into my house thinking it was my neighbor’s on the 4…

It wasn’t a whataboutism. It was an agreement with the original statement, also adding another situation in which the police are useless to the taxpayer. It also actually happened, only the “police” portion was hypothetical. Which you would have known if you did the social adept thing and finished the thread before trying to dogpile. But, it challenged the monopoly on victimization. And we can’t have that can we? No we can’t!

Never heard of it. But I’ll legit check it out, if only as an experiment. Still, I think there’s a pretty large difference in capability and scope, here. The type I’m talking about would require brain machine interface, because people can lie when filling out a form online.

This is how you handled what I said when you have less proof than I did for my own claim about dealing with the police for that particular circumstance. My limited experience (that of my friend) versus your no experience to back up your claim in that situation. But rather than try and pick it apart because I don’t want a…

Why should anyone argue with you when you’re only going to attempt to downplay, disprove, question, invalidate, marginalize, and redirect what they say based on their gender? Other than to tell you that you argue in bad faith?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 07:16 PM

What’s my ‘buddy’, again? He’s a cop, giving professional advice. Then we’re arguing the same point, as I said before: the cops aren’t really any good in either of those situations, for men or women.

No, I didn’t attempt to invalidate your experience. See my comment to the other prick who responded. I was presenting a fair counterpoint about dealing with the cops in both genders, for the exact same reasons as you said dealing with the cops is difficult. And I would’ve loved to use cops if I thought I wouldn’t be jailed instead! Edit: and the only reason that my initial scenario and what actually happened were different is because I didn’t actually call the cops, even though I desperately nee…

Op op? I already answered his question in my own reply outside of this thread! What did that have to do with my direct reply to your comment about police involvement? And why does 100% of what happened have to be prodded and interrogated by you to pass some sort of validity check?

Yes, straddling someone while they’re laying on the floor, clapping in their face, screaming, then pounding them in the head repeatedly, shoving and punching them more when they’re trying to get up is a “physical argument” because I’m a man. Nice spin on the narrative and good attempt at marginalizing what happened to me. Misandry doesn’t exist though.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 05:46 PM

The cops didn’t come. Had they come, I would have been at fault for how I defended myself, according to a cop.

On the flip side of that coin, dealing with an abusive woman when you’re a man is extra terrifying because you both know that at any second some idiot thugs with badges can come in and will take her side a majority of the time with no need for evidence or even bothering to try to figure out what actually went down. Society labels you a “beater”, nobody scrutinizes her, and the law can act accordingly. For instance, it turns out using chokeholds to subdue a partner that has cornered you and struc…

Like how I should have left after the first month when my ex was drunkenly pounding on my window at 3 in the morning. I could’ve called the cops and had her carted off. But instead I chose to go out and talk and try to empathize, and we got back together for 18 more months of mental, emotional, financial, and eventually physical abuse. I chose, that’s the point.

I don’t like to be touched anymore. Well, it has to be very intentional and deliberate and only my parents or really close friends. Even then, it’s not a comfortable thing. I didn’t block my ex, but unfriended and stopped even reading the endless stream of messages and locked down my social media accounts. The harassment stopped eventually but I’m desperately terrified of getting another message, or a phone call, or a knock on the door. The thought alone brings on this white-knuckled near-panic …

You have a point. But I have seen a woman carry it to term and immediately adopt out just because she was raised in Catholic school and I guess didn’t want it on her conscience. Now, maybe abortion wasn’t on the table at all for her. But some do use adoption as an alternative. That being said, she truly did hate every waking second of being pregnant.

I have seen other men follow their deranged penises into certain destruction, with both eyes open but glazed and stupid smiles on their stupid faces. Men are stupid, hairy apes. Because even the cleverest, most skilled and talented, even the most violent, the mightiest and most charismatic is brought low, humiliated and made undignified by the hideous, implacable demands and cravings of his deranged penis.
