If your momentum is going downhill, stop and open a guy. There's less pressure with guys and it'll get you out of your head plus get you a little social proof. And it won't be obvious that you're just there to approach girls. Once you've reset yourself then start branching out again

Something one of my older brothers told me that I've carried along for life in general is that the first person to lose their cool will "lose" the interaction (i.e. be perceived as the bad guy). So focus on staying calm and standing your ground without losing your cool

I.e. you'll be waiting forever. You'll never be perfect and that's ok as long as you're better than the day before

Next time you get dinner with friends or end your night early with them, go to a bar and chat up some random guy. Then once you're in the groove open others, men and women.

Situational openers are key. I commented on a guys accent and we started talking about his home country. If a girl has a cool drink, ask her about it.

And pat yourself on the back when you do get it right. Remind yourself you're great

This is so true. I went to a bar on my own and started chatting up some guys, and actually had some interesting conversations. Then the girls started opening me.

I prefer the "looks nice but I'm gonna need another angle to fully assess" If you're feeling cheeky you can put ASSess.

Focus on listening to what the other person is saying. If you're trying to plan your next sentence when they're talking you're not gonna hear the words that might trigger that natural response.

Well like what I might do is start with boring topic one, like where are you from. Then make a cold read/joke about where she is from. She will qualify, you banter as much as you can until it gives out. Then second boring topic: what do you do? Then again smile, make a remark about it. Banter back and forth. If she's invested she'll defend herself or qualify or participate well. Focus more on the emotional aspect of the conversation rather than the superficial topics.

Something I started doing (and I watched videos of Craig Ferguson on YouTube for inspiration) is jumping from topic to topic as soon as one gave out. I was opening and then latching on to my opener for dear life. To the girl the convo will feel more emotionally charged with more variety

That's what I'm saying. The Honda is the more reliable car. It's less flashy and lower status objectively, but it'll get you from a to b every time. And for me that is important

It depends on what you consider an approach. I'm willing to bet they get very few approaches where the guy is actually being himself

Well in my experience Mercedes has some reliability issues (again my personal experience). So honestly I'd likely get the Honda 😄

Close your eyes and just go for it king. When in doubt, just remind yourself you're the man Edit: for dancing follow this apparently https://slate.com/human-interest/2015/01/northumbria-university-dance-study-the-science-behind-good-dancers-video.html Worked well for me

I think it's worth one text a few days later. After that no

You're a high value, attractive man and you will do great. Just remember you're there to decide fit just as much as she is

Watch Craig Ferguson videos, he's the master

Follow up my man. You at least deserve a definitive answer. But don't mention the failed kiss, just act like it didn't happen

Actually if it's a popular hike it might not be as bad as you think.

The sad irony is that the less you do the more you stress. Even if you fail I guarantee it'll feel like a load off your shoulders that you actually tried. At the beginning it's not about the outcome, it's about the effort.

Maybe go back to square 1. Throw out the theory and just talk to people. Men, women, whoever. When you're walking down the street just say Hi, how's it going to whoever you pass by. Focus on being in the moment and think about theory later after the interaction

Did you engage the friend? If she was a little more comfortable she might have let you go for it

Nah just say "you're right, it's too far. Maybe another time" That will take the validation away, and she will likely want to chase it.

Close your eyes when you dance and just feel the music. Alcohol or not, it takes your focus off other people if you can't see them. Once you're in your groove open them

This was huge for me, but change your mindset. Instead of focusing on your weakness, remember that you toochsve standards and the girl needs to meet those. You have positive qualities that make you a catch to girls.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
