Replies are all over the place, op. I think you should do what's most consistent with your overall personality.

No, that's not what that means. as another person posted, being an introvert and being self conscious, having social anxiety etc aren't the same thing. I dread parties, clubs etc. Essentially I hate having to be in conversations of more than 2 other people. And even with 1 other person i need time to recharge. even with my long term relationship, alot of the times when i get home i just need her to not talk to me too much for an hour or two since i'm drained from work. I want to add this: To…

Introverted, used bumble, tinder, mutual friends, friends of coworkers (don't date actual coworkers ever) etc. Have good dates. I made it clear, through my profile and in person, that I am a homebody and don't enjoy clubs but prefer traveling etc. As you get older this becomes more and more desirable. I'm talking 25 and older This is honesty, but make sure you also stay interesting. I frequently get compliments on how much I know on various topics, but it's just hours on end watching YouTube in …

I'm in the same boat as you as a straight guy. I think it's more of a maturity thing than anything else. Technically someone could argue that you and I are friendzoned. Looking at it from that perspective, being friendzoned is a non-issue and pretty normal... unless you make an issue out of it. That usually comes from men lacking the confidence to make moves with available women and get stuck on the women that they're friends with and therefore more comfortable to talk to, even when they're unav…

That's the line we tread on this sub. How much of what I learn here do I apply and when does it contrast too much with my personality where it'll seem awkward and cringy. My advice is to think it through, does a concept or method taught here make complete sense to me? If so, I can probably make that part of my personality. If not, it'll probably seem out of character when I apply it and it'll be a turn off.

How does one change their standards. I can't change em. Either a girl is attractive or not

If you're not interesting in dating a girl now that's fine but make your intentions clear. You might close a few less girls if you're honest about not wanting to date long term but I think it's a necessity to being a decent human being

Worst thing you can do now is not go cause then you won't ever learn. When you go just do what feels natural to you

You're correct but I don't think op, or anybody really, aims for rejection. It's more of a "Hey, you might fail but it's okay and if happens to the best of us, don't let it discourage you and learn from it instead"

Same way for me, eventually being more confident in my second language allowed me to make some experiences and that confidence eventually transferred to my native language. Took a few years.

Obviously not forbidden but why does it matter for him. Either she wants to be friends with him or she's unfaithful, both of which he doesn't care for

The man's right. It's difficult to overcome.I used to be like you, a bit overweight and self conscious. I started lifting and running and even got a six pack but in my mind I still wasn't attractive. Once you just go for it you'll never look back. Don't beat yourself up for struggling with it. Approaching is a skill, the first few times might not work but you'll improve. It's like learning to drive a car, or ride a bicycle...

Yup. I mean I've never gotta laid with a not so attractive chick or gotten them interested. I text girls im interested in differently cause I'm actually interested.

Don't think too much or your first interaction might be awkward just because you've built it up too much. I think I'd just catch her outside of class if I see her somewhere and start talking to her about class. See how talkative she seems and if she shows any signs of being happy I'm talking to her ill let her know I'll sit with her next class. That is if youre okay with her thinking you guys are friends at first. It'll be up to you to escalate from there and give her signs you're into her.

To be fair though my ex was busy a lot. Flaked once and was unavailable the next 4 times I hit her up because of work or other things over the course if a month. I was close to giving up but she never actually said she's not interested in getting together. 5th time she was available, didnt flake and we ended up dating for a year. Giving up quickly seems counter productive unless it's obvious she's trying to avoid you

I'm gonna share a bit of life experience and why your post isn't aimed for everyone. My buddy is a horny motherfucker and he's decent looking, around the same as me. But he's willing to pick up girls just to fuck, doesn't care much about their looks or personality. He just wants to fuck. But he watches a ton of porn, weird shit too. That doesn't really make a difference for him. He gets laid a lot, even with girls that I don't know I could get hard for. me on the other hand, I don't try to pick …

The no ignoring/insulting part... I agree with it for the most part, but this doesn't mean that you should shower her with attention that she's already used to by guys every day. Women and Men alike, love the challenge. Not throwing yourself at her, acting somewhat disinterested and making jokes at her expense can be beneficial. It's worked for me plenty of times. Be careful because if you overdo it, you'll look like an asshole. It should be casual, not downright calling her ugly. And know when …

You forgot the map part! Here you go: Down to the left. Can you draw me a map? Don't you have a phone? ... It's dead ... Oh. Ok. ~Scribble scribble Thanks! In case I get lost, can I get your phone number so I can call and ask for more directions? ... What? No, it's literally right there. Bye.

This was a very long and drawn out post explaining that 10s are attainable if you play your cards right and you're confident enough to simply approach and go for it. Youre not wrong. It's not new information however. It's actually very basic. As to what I'd like to learn.. I don't know. I'll be the first to admit I'm unfamiliar with picking up women. I've done it a couple times but I'm here to learn new things, things I don't really know about yet.

Take her to a frozen yogurt place, walk around in whatever nearby area. I took my first high-school girlfriend to bdubs cause why not, and eating messy while you're super nervous is funny to me. Next date I took her to a Starbucks inside a target then we just walked around and talked. At the end of the day you don't have to follow advice 100%, just get some ideas and go with something that sounds reasonable to you.

I went to some pool bar and approached some women. Had a good conversation with one but she almost immediately told me she was waiting on her date. Then I approached two women and it was awkward because after the initial hi and a couple of questions on my part I just got 2 word answers and silence. It was essentially exactly the situation that you fear when you approach women and it really didn't bother me at all. Put it into perspective

Go there open minded, talk to random girls, but when you to to them, just enjoy the conversation and learn about them rather then just talking to them for the sake of hoping for sexual advances

After reading the article i definitely felt as though the advice was to not show interest whereas what you're saying now makes more sense. Showing interest is crucial but being needy is bad.

Tell her the truth andshes not your type she might always be self conscious of it. Tell her the truth that she is your type and she might think you're just trying to cater to get interest

If I'm being myself I'm awkward and off-putting. Which is why I'm here and I'm improving. A girl asking for our type very much sounds like a shit test, which in fact have right and wrong answers. In this case I'm not sure what the best answer would be. I personally probably wouldn't even give a normal answer. Just make a joke out of it.

Alright op, I had a girl in my bed after a party that we went to together in the first place, I kinda knew her for a while before hand. Same situation, she's in my bed, we were cuddling and I forgot how exactly it went but I went for the kiss, to initiate something and she didn't do anything and then asked me what I was doing. It was about as awkward as you could imagine but I told her that we were indeed in my bed and all, so she apologized for giving me mixed signals and left. I personally was…

I know that this has been posted 10 months ago, and has barely received any upvotes or visibility. It's a video worth watching if you ever find yourself to be in situations where you act awkwardly and also if you ever find yourself dwelling on cringeworthy moments in the past.

As long as you think of it as a good experience and not as something cringeworthy. VSauce has a pretty interesting video on awkwardness. Some of it also talks about how being awkward or feeling awkward is just a sign of caring too much about what will happen. Essentially, if you're talking to someone else and they're being somewhat awkward then that's because they have the best intentions and don't know what to do exactly. In any case, everyone's their own protagonist and she's too occupied with…

Telling you not to stress about it is gonna be pointless cause you'll stress about it. But don't take it so serious and give her time to respond. If she doesn't, guess she wasn't too interested

nobodys really said this yet, but they're used to compliments and having guys put them on a pedestal. If girls are used to that, and you aren't some insanely attractive guy, they won't be interested. Don't be that guy. She already has plenty of guys to choose from. Now, if you don't appear to be all over her you just might intrigue her and she becomes interested. Joke around with her, call her by a different name because you can't remember her actual name, make some non-harmful jokes about her ha…

It's crazy how much more desirable you are to women when they realize that other women are interested in you. On several occasions I went out on a few dates and the girl lost interest but as soon as she saw me with another girl (sometimes in person, sometimes our social media) all interest was renewed.
