This also implies us older men were never taught this growing up. It is so tiresome

At the end of the day is that instead of growing the pie and making sure everyone gets a slice, they'd rather fight fiercely for the crumbs

Please just as experience, create a fake profile as a man. Check the average woman profile in there and report back. You don´t know what you are talking about ( I don´t say this to offend you).

If you see most women profiles on dating apps you will that this is bullshit. Incomplete profiles, boring phrases, bad photos. Where do you live that most female dating profiles look really good ?

Women are taught the onus of responsibility to not put themselves in positions where violence could happen is on us. You said it yourself- don’t get too drunk, don’t wear too-provocative clothing, don’t leave yourself alone unprotected. Everyone is, I grew up in a bad neighborhood and my parents taught me how to be safe, my parents were smart, they never talked about me appealing to thieves or how we should teach them not to mug people, being safe is important and it is easier for me to take the…

Video calls are often a greater risk for the women than the men. By the way women here speak on the subject, the U.S is often worst than a war zone for women....

Pretty sure moms do more of the driving kids to practice thing on average anyways. In my house it was always my dad, I also remember growing up and in schools in the morning I would mostly see dads dropping their kids off. I understand some of these things are trends but we tend to generalise men as being lazy and doing no house work when in fact there are plenty of tasks that fall solely on men and are important in home keeping

“The quality of your life ultimately depends on the quality of your relationships . . . which are basically a reflection of your sense of decency, your ability to think of others, your generosity.” - Esther Perel I always knew this but could never verbalise it as well as the author, there is this weird notion that you MUST be happy alone in order to enjoy relationships which in practice is total BS. Being alone can help you become independent but it won't teach you how to be good at relationship…

Dads drive kids to practice, are tasked with fixing or scheduling for the fixing of broken things in the house, dads often are the ones taking care of the maintenance of the vehicles in the house. In my house growing up there were plenty of tasks my mom nor my sisters ever took care of. Even making sure the house is safe and checking for intruders is a 100% manly domestic task but hey, women must take care of the children and wash things so this is literally slavery /s

It wasn't a personal attack just an affirmation, there lots of subpar women profiles, with bad incomplete bios , photos with poor lighting, photos 5 years or older and etc but men seem to be a lot more forgiving of these issues. My main issue is that in these discussions there is no freaking nuance, comments here from both sides are - Dating apps suck because 99% of men on them are loser sadistic abusers with awful bios or dating apps suck cause women are impossible to please.

One thing I still don't understand is that dating apps removed some of the dangers with meeting new people in real life and etc, the profiles are verified, you can block people and never meet them if you have not met them in person, but girls here talk of OLD like it is as unsafe as going walking in ISIS land or something

it goes both ways, at least 60% of the women I see on Hinge are overweight 30+ year old women. And women out there have some atrocious profiles as well, I saw this Asian chick the other day, looked quite dorky maybe a 4/10 and she wrote on her bio her type was guys that looked like Jason Momoa.... Like get a grip.

https://www.commonsense.news/p/ten-years-of-tinder-love-and-hate Ten years ago today, Tinder landed in the App Store and, in short order, changed everything about modern dating. Overnight, the singles who were close by were, in theory, only a swipe away. It was one thing to disrupt the taxi cab and hotel industries. Now, a little app completely transformed the way we date, the way we choose sexual partners—even the way we think of romance. It came with a host of new problems, not to mention a ne…

I feel like we don't look at the material reasons for these issues enough and instead focus on dumb psycho analysis. We'd rather say its because men don't hug enough, or men don't go to therapy, or men are just too toxic to look for help ( statistics show otherwise). But when you look deep at what is happening you will see that many of the men killing themselves are doing so for a mix of socio-economic reasons. You were diminishing the problem saying it was statistically meaningless when the whole point is that female predators are incredibly underreported and tend to receive lighter sentences. 99% of reported rapists are male but you need to be careful with what this stat is telling you. At least 51% percent of rapes are committed by serial offenders, these aren't our dads, friends, uncles or the average joe, these are demented violent criminals that are surely not even close to being the majority of …

With the yearly cases of teachers being inappropriate with students to countless stories of female nannies touching kids in their care, when you say stuff like this you just seem ignorant. I personally know 5 people that had experiences with older women or their nannies when they were underage and you can expect that many more men had similar experiences but don't see it negatively or ever talk about it. Wide scale changes in society are usually top down. When you look at how consumerism was manufactured , it didn't come for the benefit of the majority of society and the planet but greatly benefitted the people at the top as it increased their consumer base greatly. You can even see this today with other asinine ideologies, when you look at wokeism you are seeing stuff coming from elite universities to media outlets to then politics and then being washed down through the education system. Also we must find a way of getting rid of certain myths modern and old. The myth that marriages decades ago were all awfully oppressive and nowadays that myth of the single woman that is the happiest human on earth cause there is no man around to steal her shine. Companies are already tapping into this, because it is found that single women are the biggest consumer spenders, none of this shit is happening by accident but women are willingly endorsing this corporate backed ideology.

What people on the left don't understand is that Intersectionality is nothing but an analytical framework. It does not lead to policy proposals nor it seeks to solve problems. I have lost count how many times I've heard women ruthlessly roast their friends' love interests; Saw plenty of mums and aunties saying the same shit. And, in fact, contrary to the assertion made in The Guardian, marriage appears to make women happier than men. But this is a difficult relationship to unpack, and not only because happiness is a hard concept to measure. That really is a small part of the problem since we can ask people subjective questions like “…

Would you agree there is a problem with the premise ? Meaning the hedonistic idea that all human relationships are supposed to be wholesome and painless and that if you stop having fun it is time to change and etc ? We also have this weird assumption than in the past when people were more dependant on each other, they only stay together out of obligation and talking to older couples (my grandparents age) their opinions are different. There also studies that find that single people are more consu…

Being shy and being introverted are different things. You can be both, but shyness is a negative tendency, being introverted is neutral. I am 100% introverted

I feel like this lady really understands what men are looking for in general.

I love your perspective. Because often I see that when people talk about marriage being unnatural and divorces being the norm, they have an American view on it. When you look at other cultures , specially in the developing world, marriages are a lot more stable and long lasting.

It is also virtually impossible to find pages that have stats on female violence and etc, it is fucking madness the levels of censorship people are growing accustomed with

Brilliant post op. Adding to your point is the fact that a lot of guys look for sex when they are really looking for tenderness and to feel embraced. It took me years to understand that about myself, sometimes we really don't need to fuck at all, if I am watching a movie, have my head on my girls lap and she is massaging my head there is nothing else I need at that moment. When I look at past relationships sometimes all I asked from partners was tenderness and it seems some women will purposely …

You sound like an amazing person, hope you find the right person soon. There are a lot of people giving love advice that boils down to being being cold, being mean or emotionally unavailable and the way you describe yourself is honestly so refreshing. Hope I can find a partner with those qualities in the future.

Yes, I have been trying to have these conversations with leftists and it is so pointless, my idea was that we need a leftist Jordan Peterson to appeal to young men and instead of engaging with this suggestion male leftists will go on these weird tangents. Ex: "Women suffer the same/more so it is not gendered "or "masculinity is a meaningless term lets not use it" or "men had their chance lets let women lead now"

They are scarily anti-family, slowly but surely these ideas leak into to the mainstream , you hear more and more feminists saying that single women live longer and etc. What the hell is going on ?

I said some women and you generalised all men. Your communication tactic is done to create ire and I refuse to take the bait, have a good day.

I am not asking this to sound snarky, just would love your input. Why does it seem that some women will live their wildest years of debauchery with some equally promiscuous men and then settle with the mostly decent inexperienced men ? Isn't it a recipe for chaos ? If a girl has stories of having constant trains ran on them , can the average Joe ever be as pleasing ? Do women not compare their current partners with previous ones in the sex department for example?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
