I honestly have no idea at this point. Maybe little things here and there but I highly doubt it will be to a point that we’re taking vacations together as I’ve heard about other divorced couples.

Just did some research and there is no legal separation in the state that I live in.

Thanks. Not going to chase at all. I just want to establish boundaries. I told her I’m not looking for a friend after this is all over. I’ll always be cordial mostly because of the kids and that our conversations should be about the kids. I don’t want/need to hear what is going on in her life.

Your not the first person to say that. There are significant swings. We’ll have an argument and an hour later she acts like nothing is wrong.

She represented a few guys in my office that went through divorces. They referred to her as a pitbull

My attorney never mentioned it so I didn’t know it was a possibility.

She had a panic attack when she found out that I retained an attorney. I had told her that I was going to do it since she told me the marriage was over and she no longer had feelings for me. I’m not sure what she was expecting. I wasn’t going to sit around twisting in the wind waiting for her to change her mind.

My girls are my world. I’ve been involved with them since they were infants. I was the one getting up with them in the middle of the night and taking care of them when they were sick.

Not leaving at all. I’m too close with my kids too. I’m the only responsible adult in the house.

That happened the first time we went. She hated the counselor because the counselor sided with me.

Yes, I filed. Her attorney was served two weeks ago. She has a copy of the paperwork.

I have been going to individual counseling. That counselor recommended we go to couples counseling in order to set boundaries. I’ve commandeered the master bedroom. She’s been sleeping on the couch. I agree and even stated to my counselor that there’s a trust that has now been broken so I’m not even sure I would take her back. I could never trust her again....cheating or not.

I get it. I agree she is on an adventure but at this point don’t think there is anyone else. She’s always had a problem with being a responsible adult. The issue is that I held her accountable while her parents never did.

We’re in divorce proceedings. I filed in March. Unfortunately, we’re in the same house as this proceeds.

I can’t leave the house. I’m too close with my daughters and help them with homework every night. I try to avoid the stbx as much as possible. I told her straight out that I’m not looking for a friend once everything is said and done. I’ll always be cordial for the girls sake but I don’t want to hear how her day went.

The sex was only for the first week after she first told me she wanted out. None since then which was Feb. 8th. We are going to couples therapy next week. First session is joint but I think they’ll split us up after for individual sessions. We’ve each been seeing individual therapists during this time too.

Find someone to talk to. My stbx told me she wanted a divorce at the end of January. It came out of nowhere. Hit me like a rock and I was in the same mental state as you. I just talked and talked to a lot of different people. It helped that a lot of people saw things wrong in the marriage but didn’t want to say anything because I was always trying to make the marriage work. It opened my eyes that I deserved better. On the days that it is really hard, I just keep telling myself that I deserved be…
