People at large won’t be supportive of paying a lot of taxes while not seeing anything in return. Also the comment talked about “raising” those children so it’s not purely a matter of economics.

perhaps supporting those single mothers and raising offsprings of another man Except they’re not going to do that on a large scale. Seriously why would anyone do that, at all?

Relationship. Most people like that. That goes for men and women.

Well technically it’s not unfalsifiable.

Once number two starts happening at a noticeable level, society is going to the shitter. Doesn’t matter it’s all perfectly wholesome and consensual.

Women made eye contact with you and you think you’re top 20%?

On dating apps it’s 5/95. 20/80 is the already “corrected” version to account than real life is different. You also pretty much explained why 20/80 happens…

Women may say whatever but the fact are pretty clear… graduates from prestigious universities, math and biochem majors etc. all have virginity rates well above the general population. It does suggest at the very least a distinct lack of the causation you were claiming exists.

Statistically it really isn’t. Men with higher IQs have on average more difficulties getting laid. Look up the studies on this.

It is rewarded in the economic marketplace. And sociopathy is not assholery. Sociopaths know when being asshole would backfire.

No. I’m saying that determining good traits looking at “the market” is shit logic. Sociopathy is an example of that (as is aggression).

Selfish? Sure. Not sociopaths.

Imagine society if everyone was sociopathic and aggressive... You are either a troll or extremely stupid.

By this logic we should all also praise manipulators, sociopaths and the likes, and people prone to all kind of unethical behavior in general. Take a look at those who are most successful in society (billionares, powerful people etc.) and you’ll see those traits are massively overrepresented in that kind of demographics. “Market doesn’t lie” is a stupid take. The market doesn’t lie about what is useful in bringing profits (money, power, status or whatever) to oneself and oneself only. The market…

Doesn’t mean aggression is a good characteristic that should be perpetuated.

Except those men won’t have sex with those women by signing up on their OF. This is like saying poor people are just whiners because they could become rich by replying to the “Nigerian prince” emails they’ve been receiving.

To play as the Devil’s advocate, some couples actually met on Reddit. So it’s possible in some cases I guess.

On average, men are having less sex, that’s what I was saying. Assuming a normal distribution, that also means the median man is having less sex than the median woman.

Maybe more attractive women aren’t “settling down” with a man for some reason? Idk really. Seems bizzarre to me as well.

A subset of the population is having sex quickly I think. It’s important to point out the situation is not exactly homogeneous.

Republican passing UBI? No way, the bs about helping family is posturing for evangelicals that eat that shit up. In reality they aren’t going to do anything benefitting your average joe economically anytime soon.

You can just open a dating app… Except it doesn’t work that way for at least 40% of the population, if we’re being generous (80% of potential male tinder users, probably it’s worse considering there are also some women on there with little luck).

As of 2018, 28% of young males reported having no sex in the past year; it was 18% for women. I could cite other even more impressive statistics to make the point clearer, but this is enough to answer your question with a resounding “no”. That claim is simply false.

3500-4000 Euro is quite a sum even for Europe, at least here in Italy he would be definitely considered wealthy.

From an economic standpoint “hookup culture” is equivalent to market deregulation, and the same economic trends roughly applies. It benefits women who are interested in hooking up and a smallish percentage of men capable of taking advantage of it. It is detrimental to the rest of the guys who now have to face more competition since committed monogamous relationships (which ideally imply a 1-to-1 pairing) become less common.
