I think just generally encouraging your friends and family when relevant to challenge their knowledge with checking the facts behind a situation regularly is enough to do the trick. You might think that people who have multiple sexual partners might be more likely to cheat or generally be bad in other ways, when the numbers actually show ultimately tiny links between someones overall personality and their sex drive/partners. That seems like a stereotype that can easily trap someone though if they never check their own logic. Self control seems to be much more of a predictor of sexual infidelity than raw sex drive or sexual partner history.
