Yeah. It shouldn't forfeit his right to see the kid, rather forfeit his right to request seing the kid.

I can't agree. In that case the child seeing its father should be the child's decision, or mother's. The father who did not want the child and denied support, should not be able to request seeing the child. You imagine how inconvinient for the mother that would be? Extra plans with meetings and passing the child between the parents with no actual help. It could be benefitial for the child, but very unlikely.
