Setting aside feelings, you really should get a nice old vintage razor (or buy new) and a sample pack of blades. As long as you don't go nuts on gear you can both save money and have the best shaves of your life. Cartridges are what I use when travelling, they still have their purpose. Scuttles and brushes and stands all have their purpose too, but you really just need the basics. Like everything else mgtow, the choices are all yours. Grandpa happened to have shaving dialed in perfectly.

There's a better than average chance that if you approached him (maybe not at an event like this but in general) that he would think you needed money or were homosexual and testing the waters. I will gladly help out another man with something like help lifting some heavy lumber out of his pickup, or keeping an eye on his motorcycle while he runs into the bank. I don't tend to make small talk anymore unless it's to acknowledge a shitty driver or something in the moment.

I love my kid too, there's nothing better than a sticky fingered hug after a hard day in the salt mines. Unfortunately my kid like many others was weaponized against me during the divorce. Dating women with small children is also risky for similar reasons. If you grow close and the relationship ends, you will most likely be denied access while still be on the hook for continued financial support. It was the lack of access way more than the money that tweaked me.

After a decade or so of peace, it's easy to forget what it's like to have a woman piss in your Cheerios. You're 99.999% correct. Social media can be a utility like the GPS in your car. Just like the GPS if you rely on it too much you'll wind up driving into a lake. Being able to contact old friends without having to endlessly update contact info has value but I really don't give a rats ass on what any of them had for dinner.
