Before nys started, alot of anti-gg were claiming gg was "against inclusion", as in against not only women but also black people in games an so forth. Guy got mad, told them to stop speaking for him, many joined in, and anti-gg dropped it to just "you hate women" because "internalized misogyny " carries more weight with them for some reason.

I had a teacher like that. The school desperately wanted to get rid of him because he was a rich pita but he was, coincidentally, a rich pita so they could try throwing money at him and buying out his tenure (didn't work, obviously) and increasing his class size over and over (he liked 30 people classes so they bumped him up to 200 or so. Only reason I managed to get into his class, actually.) He was fantastic but had a touch of the insanes.

It's basically this sub's "guys stop linking to music we've all heard already!" from /r/music. Within a few weeks there's going to be a popular "cool your jets" post, people will back off with these karma-whorey anti-feminist type posts (which isn't to say body image issues in the media isn't something worth discussing, just that this presentation lacks substance, is needlessly sarcastic, and is focused on the least important part of the discussion) for a while and then it'll start bubbling back…

Not really. Before the debt ceiling, the government had to authorize each loan, bond, and so forth individually. It was a pretty huge pain and prevented things like letting citizens get (relatively) small government bonds. To fix it, they just said "okay, we authorize everything up to this amount of money." I've always seen this as the female->male version of "damsel in distress." It's not as bombastic or obvious as the "SHE WAS LITERALLY TAKEN BY A DRAGON AND I SAVED HER AND NOW WE ARE MARRIED" DiD trope, the "He was a shit head and then I found him and I made him not a shithead and now we are married!" always seemed to be the same kind of "I can get someone better if I put myself into it and know where to look" fantasy.

The state does, as you don't have to tell them you're recording. Some states are a one-party notification state, meaning as long as one party involved in the conversation consents to the recording and both parties are in one-party states, a recording can be made without notifying the other party (in this case the IRS.)

Because they don't see companies/their owners as economists/rational thinkers, they seem them as "people." So it's easy to write it off as a character flaw in the employers, and so it's easy to say something like "It's because they don't like/trust/believe in women like they do men! So they honestly believe they are going to get 77% of the work out of us, which so isn't true!!"
