He doesn't seem to see women as people, he sees them as points to win.

Seriously, ex had a manipulative abusive mother and acknowledges that it causes a lot of issues for him but when I mention therapy he would say no immediately like it wasn't even an option. There's nothing wrong with seeking help! I wish more people in general would realize that, but men especially. It's ok to have emotions!

Seriously. Plus sometimes you just don't like them. I don't owe my time, body or effort to anyone. I don't need an "excuse", no means no.

I was recently using online dating and when I mentioned the dates I've gone on and not been interested a guy friend whined that girls never "give chances" like, what? If I gave the first guy I met a "chance" after red flags or not being attracted to them then I'll get dragged into the relationship and later told it's my fault for picking a bad guy. So am I supposed to give chances or be picky?? You're damned if you do damned if you don't.

Wish I would've started this a lot sooner but am on my way! Turning 25 in 2 weeks, graduating in 8 and a half months with a degree that will allow me to live comfortably for my lifestyle and also allow regular travel but a 9-5 when I'm ready to stay in one place. If a man comes along that fits in my life that'd be great but a man won't be the centerpiece.

Seriously, the same things he did to you he'll just do to her. When they get in a fight he might be in your inbox next.

Kinda makes me sad for them sometimes. They are taught that taking care of themselves is "gay." Like no, just moisturize and wash your damn face.

I have both! Lol. Definitely prefer coming home to them. I occasionally get yelled at for an empty food bowl or a potty trip but that's all. Unconditional love.

I caught my ex watching porn when we first moved in together and was upset, he told me that it wasn't a big deal (he ended up gaslighting me A LOT in our relationship) I was mainly upset because I was literally in the next room. We shared a Netflix account and one time I saw in his watch history a porn documentary but it looked like he didn't even get that into it. Kinda gross how he probably selected it thinking it looked hot but after seeing it talked about the struggles quickly closed it out.

Lmao, this is how I feel about this one guy I matched with who after me not responding cause I am busy sent me like 3 messages including question marks, found me on Facebook and messaged me there too. Like, dude. Hop off. I have never blocked someone so fast.

Omg, literally the same here. 8 years. Just broke up 7 months ago. Should've left long before that.

Working on this now. Was feeling really bad abandonment issues and like I always lose people. After some analyzing I realized things like that hit me so hard because of how much time and energy I put into friendships/ relationships despite not recieving it back. Not necessarily in a transactional way but just not being appreciated or feeling like people cared about me the same way. I am super hard on myself so it's hard to transition into treating myself with more love but I'm working on it!

Seriously, with my ex I would legit calmly talk about an issue and he labeled me as too sensitive and overdramatic. I literally never even raised my voice.

When he said if he's ever told her how good she is her eyes lit up, it was adorable, then he goes and crushes her. :(

He said he would "try". There is no try if you can't get it into the bowl at least clean it up.

I'm in this boat rn. Always doing my best for everyone else but when I need a friend there's no one to be found.

You just described my ex lol. I was talking to him and he said in the future (5-10 years from now) he wants to travel and I asked why he didn't say sooner and he said he doesn't have money. This is also the guy who keeps saying "some day" to college and has turned down a management promotion 3 times cause it'd be too stressful.

Preach! Just got out of a relationship where my ex told me how amazing and perfect I was because I am so supportive etc. but still left thinking the grass would be greener somewhere else. Never again.

Seriously, I basically raised myself. Had a single mother who was always working to provide for us and dad did nothing but donate a sperm cell. Love my mom but she and my sister were kinda hard on me and quick to say a man won't want to be with you if xyz. I always told them I didn't care but hearing that growing up isn't very helpful. Plus my people pleasing personality. Turning 25 this year and just now starting to realize that no matter how much I do for other people, ex boyfriend of 8 years …

There's actually a sub dedicated to clapping back at rude men so maybe those posts should be redirected.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
