We had our daughter in our bed for way too long when she was born...like 3+ years long. I hated it but my wife did it anyways. Our daughter got so used to it that having to break her of it wsa very very hard. When we had our son I laid down the law and said he would never sleep in our bed and he never did. He was crib trained in 2 days and was sleeping through the night in a week. Sure, all kids are different but when you let a kid sleep in the bed, its a nightmare to get them out.
