That's just not true. Feminists disagree on lots of stuff internally. Just because he has heard that from a feminist doesn't make it like the official feminist party line - there isn't one. Feminism is one huge group in the same way people with brown hair is one huge group; they all have something in common but also have lots of contradictory opinions.

Saying someone who supports equal rights for women is a feminist is akin to saying someone with brown hair is a brunette. Oxford English Dictionary definition of feminist: 'An advocate or supporter of the rights and equality of women.'

'feminists' aren't like one united group with one voice though, there are many different groups of people with different opinions who consider themselves feminists, and some who are feminists regardless (if you want equal rights for women, you're a feminist) - don't let people on the extremes own the word

I'm sorry that happened to you :(. One time when I was in a club a woman kept grabbing my face and trying to kiss me. I was 18 she was about 50. I kept pulling away and was laughing whilst telling her to stop because I was uncomfortable and embarrassed. It's very sad that so many male and non binary victims are marginalised in the dialogue.
