1	European Human Rights report says Israel killing Palestinians is bad 'because it creates widows, who then struggle' - no mention of the men, who are dead. I totally agree with the points you make, but I still take issue with this whole thread. A report focusing on women's situation in the conflict, titled "women of gaza speaks out" is attacked for not focusing on the men, and everyone is acting all righteously indignified. There are so many things to be upset about that it feels a bit low to make an issue out of something like the report OP linked. Which might very well be true but kind of dodges the issue that this whole thread is a bit ridiculous to begin with. It's basically acting outraged that a report on women's situation in the conflict doesn't focus enough on the men. What? Do we really need to try this hard to find things to be upset about? The title makes it sound like ALL of the human rights organizations sat down and decided that it's all about the women. My point was that the men are the ones who actually have any agency in the situation, not the women. I'm not implying that they should just automatically be able to deal with it, obviously war is hard on anyone. The whole victim-blaming argument is so tired. Anyone with half a brain realises that overall, would be rape victims are probably a lot more interested in avoiding rape than would be rapists are. Take a deep breath and think long and hard about if you are more concerned with abstract principles or about helping people avoid being raped.
