It's more complicated than this, but I think you can get a pretty good approximation of how society values men and women with the basic slope formula. Y=mx+b' Social Value = 'Value Acknowledgement' times 'Value Achieved' plus 'Intrinsic Value' Men get a full Value Acknowledgement for their 'Value Achieved', but get no basic Intrinsic Value, which comes with a warping effect on empathy where if you aren't contributing, you're disposable. Women get a reduced Value Acknowledgement for their achieve…

If a man hates women due their own experience/interaction is a good enough reason to hate women, then is a woman's experience/interaction a good enough reason to hate men?

The disparity between young men and women is too high for that to be an alternative factor. It would certainly be a contributing factor though - this isn't an either or situation, it is definitely both. Well, there are also 164.38 million men and 167.51 million women in the us, for a discrepancy of 3.13 more women than men in the US. So maybe 2 mil women lying/poly/sidechicks? Or I guess -- 2 mil more women than men lying/poly/siderelationshiped.

Thanks for fighting the good fight for me today. Hats off to ya.

Man, I'm sorry, but this post is a touch absurd. I'm also a masc, passing gay/bi dude. I also ally men and have heated discource with feminists and women who think men exist to serve them. Im happy to be an ally and a partner in advocating for mens rights and mens advocacy, but i dont think acting like feminism is a batshit and irrelevant movement because it has parts of it that are problematic is reasonable. I still haven't found a core of me, who can build rapport with women who have opposing …

Even if it wasnt for equality, its a hard sell to say feminism hasn't done good for women, who were very clearly being oppressed. Ideally, I dont think feminism needs to work towards equality, nor do i think mens rights needs to either. They should both advocate for themselves and then find ways to negotiate and compromise.

Except some people will actively steal from you and poison the well behind them when you help. You can't be good to evil bigoted people. Life is tough, be good to good people.

You honestly believe that girls are inundated with "Respect Boys" and "Boys are awesome" in today's climate? Seriously? Yup. It's not an exact parallel, but women and girls still get told, or more likely, shown a subservient place. Getting groped at bars and buses and metros still happen, and they still get told "that happens, men are men, get used to it". And some of them get furious, and shut out everything but those problems and barrel down on tackling those issues fervently, and we call them…

I mean, I can't contest what you've said, but your last question is just an appeal to (self)authority. I get it that you're a person and this guy isn't on your level of analysis and it can get frustrating typing all that up and getting a baseless claim, but I really felt like it's an endemic intellectual dishonestly and takes away from your actual points. That being said, what are the postmodern divergences from Western philosophical worldview/philosophy? And how does the neo-Marxist worldview f…

Eh, the BBC does a lot of good work, just because this myth is still mainstream doesn't mean they should be crushed out of their current path.

It's funny, because while trying to sound like a black guy, you came across as a sheltered white boy... Edit - Ahahaha, it's troll account, actually some pretty funny derails in there.

I don't... Dude. You said X is a much bigger problem, so feminists shouldn't bother with Y because its a smaller problem, He said I agree with what you're saying, but only because Y is a joke and isn't even a problem. Otherwise, you can't discount small problems just because there are big problems. You replied I didnt say that. He quoted you having just said that. You replied with 'and?' As if you had completely forgotten the rest of the conversation. Are we on the same page now?

He's saying(in my words) humans are humans. They range from shitty to excellent, acting like half of all of them are especially shitty is irrational, and for you to think like that you must have been hurt by someone to have something like that worked into you/believe that.

Because we've found through history that if you let people treat each other as lesser existences in a legal sense instead of a social sense, the traits of a positive community choke, and the animal nature of humans is more likely to express itself violently.

Don't have to try to what? Convince me to agree with things I already believe in? Because they'll have a fight on their hands about what I disagree with them about. It's just not going to stop me from agreeing when they say something I agree with. Period.

shrug I think that's alot less realistic. Communities should band together to protect each other and the innocent, but one person's ability to take on the world just isn't realistic to me. I mean until something takes you out you can still keep trucking, but once you hit that point then you're done, and just saying I'll do that until I hit that point seems like a disservice to all the men and women who's first something is something that takes them out.

I liked it especially because of that. It started down a questionable line, and then absolutely flipped it on it's head

The more I've gotten passionate and excited about both, the more I've seen women and men to open up to the possibilities!

Just because feminists fight against my rights doesn't mean I won't fight with them on things I think need fixing. It just means that I'll fight them when we disagree.

I consider Feminism to be the desire to strengthen and empower women. I consider MRActivism to be the desire to strengthen and empower men. I consider myself an egalitarian, which means I am both an MRActivist and a Feminist

I will point out, as dumb as it is to do it because of 'feminism', there are legitimate kinksters/fetishists who enjoy this kind of thing in perfectly healthy relationships. (/r/hotwife, /r/wifesharing, /r/polyamory, as well as /r/bdsm styled things to a huge varied couple to couple basis) These things can be healthy and fun, especially if a couple has a libido mismatch, some people also get a kick out of if it feels like a 'futuristic' relationship(i.e. evolved past base instincts), as well as …

Whats the math for normalizing 43% and 57% into percentage of each other instead of percentage of total? I keep getting that they work 88.68 hours for every 100 hours men work when I try to do it. Help?

We agree about your second and fourth paragraphs, but your third it feels like talking to someone in a completely different world. There is a huge overlap of people who are drinking, not blacking out(ie still remembering the night the next day) and not passing out(Nobody thinks this is ok. Obviously rape) who are having sex. People are getting drunk, having sex, and then sometimes the woman regrets that. Modern feminism sometimes coaches these girls into thinking that instead of having shitty dr…

No. People suck at reading responses. Period. I haven't had trouble with it, espeically during sex, because I'm ridiculously expressive, especially about what I want. As for the current definition of rape, I'm 22... when I was getting through all the odds and ends of going to the state college I wanted to attend, I had to take an online informational about rape that told me that regardless of how completely shitface hammered I was, if I had sex with a girl who was drunk, almost regardless of how…

It's as simple as reading human response. Aha. Ahahaha. Ahahahahaha. Ahahahahhahahahhahahahahhaah, are you joking? ... ... ... You're not joking? Have you met people? Of course it's as simple as reading human response. Which people are TERRIBLE at. People suck at figuring out what their own response to things are, let alone other people! This conversation is not address the .001%(or whatever miniscule statistic) of psychotic serial rapists. We're talking about the bumbling college students, and …
