2	"Deadbeat" mom vs "Deadbeat" dad. Probably because when men choose to leave, there’s another caretaker who is then left with a larger burden. However, when a mom decides to put the child up for adoption, another parent isn’t assuming the burden. Since the adoptive parents are choosing to accept the child, the burden that’s being passed to the caretakers, is willing, rather than unwilling.
